The new Brazilian movie on Netflix: BIONIC
Today, entering Netflix I see the selection they have in the top 10 in my country, I took a look at the movies and this one of Brazilian origin came out, in the past I had seen 2 very good series from the same country and I said why not?
Bionics, a film that covers the categories of science fiction. Here we move to the year 2035 where technology and sports change.
Hoy entrando en Netflix veo la selección que tienen en el top 10 de mi país, le eché un vistazo a las películas y salió esta de origen brasileña, en el pasado había visto 2 series muy buenas del mismo país y dije ¿por qué no?
Biónicos, una película que abarca las categorías de ciencia ficción. Aquí nos trasladamos al año 2035 dónde la tecnología y el deporte cambian.

Next I'm going to try to explain a little bit about what the movie is about, as best I can because I feel like in the end I didn't even understand it myself.
We have two athletic sisters (María and Gaby) who were trained by their parents. The mother was an athlete and Olympic champion in long jump, so that was what they taught their daughters, unfortunately for these characters their mother is dead... One of the sisters, the youngest (Gaby) had an accident when she was little and she had to use a prosthesis that was improved over time until the present year 2035.
The world changed and everything evolved, now the Olympic games were for people who had advanced prosthetics, the world of sports changed, everything was more lucrative, since people preferred to watch these athletes since they could do a little more amazing things like jump very tall, run faster, etc. The world simply moved on, and María felt that her life and her dreams were left in the past, like an old memory, since she aspired to be an Olympic athlete just like her mother, a champion, she trained her entire life for that but it was her younger sister who ended up taking that title.
A continuación voy a tratar de explicar un poco de que va la película, lo mejor que pueda porque siento que al final ni yo misma la entendí.
Tenemos a dos hermanas atletas (María y Gaby) que fueron entrenadas por sus padres. La madre fue una atleta y campeón olímpica en Salto en largo, así que fue lo que le enseñaron a sus hijas, lamentablemente para estos personajes su madre está muerta... Una de las hermanas, la menor (Gaby) tuvo un accidente de pequeña y tuvo que usar una prótesis que con el paso del tiempo fueron mejorando hasta el año presente 2035.
El mundo cambió y todo evolucionó, ahora los juegos olímpicos eran para personas que tenían prótesis avanzadas, el mundo del deporte cambió, era todo más lucrativo, ya que las personas preferían ver a estos atletas ya que podían hacer cosas un poco más asombrosas como saltar muy alto, correr más rápido, etc. Simplemente el mundo siguió adelante, y María sintiendo que su vida y sus sueños quedaron en el pasado, como un viejo recuerdo, ya que ella aspiraba a ser una atleta olímpica igual que su madre, una campeona, entrenó toda su vida para eso pero fue su hermana menor quien terminó llevándose ese título.
Between rivalry and the desire to fulfill her dreams, María ends up going down a dark path, gets involved with the wrong people and ends up in an accident that leaves her in the same condition as her younger sister but that was not all, since the cause she believes she is fighting for becomes a lie.
Entre la rivalidad y el deseo por cumplir sus sueños, María termina metiéndose en un camino oscuro, se involucra con la gente equivocada y acaba en un accidente que la deja en la misma condición que su hermana menor pero eso no fue todo, ya que la causa por la que ella cree que está luchando se convierte en una mentira.

There are things I liked about the movie and things I didn't.
Let's start with the good, I thought the actors worked their roles very well and I felt the special effects were well done, quite clean, I was surprised, in those aspects there is good quality and a very good future.
Now what I didn't like so much was that the story gets lost a lot and mixes up so much that you no longer know what you're seeing or what it's about, it's like they never decided where to really aim. It's about how the world of sports changes and how that affects ordinary people, including what anyone would be willing to do to be accepted in this new world but there is also a part of smuggling that is seen in the film and also the other details that are left loose, such as the girls' father, the police who did nothing having evidence, the criminal who did not contribute anything significant, seemed like a filler character. I feel that those details took the film to another meaning and confusion.
But I would like to finish by saying that I was actually amazed by the quality of the film, this is something very good for Brazil and I see them positioning themselves in this world of entertainment.
Hay cosas que me gustaron de la película como las que no.
Vamos a empezar por lo bueno, los actores me parecieron que trabajaron muy bien sus papeles y los efectos especiales siento que fueron bien hechos, bastante limpios, me quedé sorprendida, en esos aspectos hay una buena calidad y un muy buen futuro.
Ahora por lo que no me gustó tanto fue que la historia se pierde mucho y mezcla tanto que ya no sabes que estás viendo o de qué trata, es como que nunca se decidieron hacia donde apuntar realmente. Se trata sobre como el mundo de los deportes cambia y como afecta eso a las personas comunes, incluso en lo que cualquier persona estaría dispuesta a hacer por ser aceptado en este nuevo mundo pero también está una parte de contrabando que se ve en la película y también los demás detalles que quedan sueltos como el padre de las chicas, la policía que no hizo nada teniendo pruebas, el criminal no aportó nada significativo parecía un personaje de relleno y más, siento que esos detalles llevaron la película a otro significado y confusión.
Pero me gustaría terminar diciendo que en realidad quedé asombrada con la calidad de película, esto es algo muy bueno para Brasil ya los veo posicionandose en este mundo de los espectáculos.
Vaya me sorprende que esta película de ficción sea brasileña creo que realmente nunca he visto la película brasileña de este género.
El tema inicial del deporte asociado a la tecnología en el futuro me parece interesante lástima que como dices este tema se haya diluido en la trama, de todas maneras creo que me llamó bastante la atención como para verla gracias por la review.
Espero la hayas visto, en general creo que ha sido un buen trabajo
