The Menu | Movie Review 🎥 | 8/10
Today I bring a recommendation that is worth watching, and that is that I feel that this year, I have really seen some good movies, my selection for my personal tastes was quite fine-tuned.
This film is called The Menu and the synopsis tells us that they are a couple who go to an island to do a tasting with a chef who is world-renowned.
Hoy traigo una recomendación que vale la pena ver, y es que siento que este año, verdaderamente he visto unas buenas películas, mi selección para mis gustos personales estuvo bastante afinada.
Esta película se llama El Menú y pues en la sinopsis nos dice que son una pareja que se va a una isla a hacer una degustación con un chef que es mundialmente aclamado.

Guys, guys. This movie surprised me, everything starts very well. In fact, I thought it would be something quite classic, maybe fun and refreshing when it comes to food. At first we get to know the island, they give us a brief walk and show us how they grow their own ingredients, how they make their sausages. Everything is quite indigenous, which leaves a very good impression.
Chicos, chicos. Esta película me sorprendió, todo empieza muy bien. De hecho, yo pensé que sería algo bastante clásico, quizá divertido y que te deje un efecto refrescante al tratarse de comida. Al principio vamos conociendo la isla, nos dan un breve paseo y nos muestran como cultivan sus propios ingredientes, como hacen sus embutidos. Todo es bastante autóctono, lo cual deja una muy buena impresión.

On the other hand, let's talk a little about the couple who are going to the island. They are Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Tayler (Nicholas Hoult). At first we found out that Margot was not really the date Tyler was going to go to the island with, because the reality was that the young man already had that reservation well in advance and it was with other woman but things happened.... Even so, he did not want to miss out on that experience he had been waiting for so long and decided to take Margot as his replacement, without notifying the restaurant of the name change, which was an awkward moment when arriving at the restaurant and Margot being called by another name, and that discomfort was feel pretty good to everyone.
Por otro lado, hablemos un poco de la pareja que está yendo a la isla. Se trata de Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) y Tayler (Nicholas Hoult). Al principio nos enteramos que realmente Margot no era la cita con la que Tyler iba a ir a la isla, porque la realidad fue que el joven ya tenía esa reservación bastante anticipada y era con otra personas pero cosas pasaron.... Aun así, no quería perderse esa experiencia que tanto había estado esperando y decidió llevar a Margot como su reemplazo, sin avisar al restaurante el cambio de nombre, lo cual fue un momento incómodo al llegar al restaurante y Margot ser llamada por otro nombre, y esa incomodidad se siente bastante entre todos.

Although Margot and Taylor are the main characters, they are not the only ones on the island, a group of people were also there that day for the tasting. What we will see at the beginning are the presentations of the dishes, the first courses and if I am not mistaken, it is a 6-course dinner menu. During the first courses, everything is fine, and actually the movie seems a bit boring and we also notice that Margot's character doesn't seem to be enjoying the tasting, she seems to be complaining a bit.
A pesar de que Margot y Taylor son los personajes principales, no son los únicos en la isla, un grupo de personas también estaban ese día por la degustación. Lo que veremos al principio son las presentaciones de los platos, los primeros platos y si no me equivoco, es un menú de cena de 6 platos. Durante los primeros platos, todo está bien, y de hecho parece un poco aburrida la película y también notamos que el personaje de Margot no pareciera estar disfrutando de la degustación, parece estar quejándose un poco.

I even thought that this movie was going to get a little boring, but everything takes a turn, and we found out that all the people who are there the chef had to know each one of them and we thought that maybe it is something from the experience and know how to provide the service for each of them. But actually it's because the chef planned to surprise everyone and everything had to be perfect.
Yo incluso pensé que esta película se iba a volver un poco aburrida, pero todo da un giro, y nos enteramos de que todas las personas que están ahí el chef debía conocerlos a cada uno de ellos y pensamos que quizá es algo por la experiencia y saber cómo brindar el servicio para cada uno de ellos. Pero en realidad es porque el chef planeaba sorprender a sus comensales y todo debía ser perfecto.

In this film we are going to prepare and surprise because the chef decided to introduce some secret ingredients to his dishes that will leave us with the willies. Everything really takes a turn in a way that I did not expect, I was quite surprised. And obviously I will not continue to reveal anything else, because now it is up to you to know if you want to be surprised in the same way that I did. And believe me we are not going to understand what is happening.
Although I must admit that this is not for everyone, I have great admiration for food, for its preparation, for the people who make this culinary art. But really it is not only based on cooking, there is also a deep criticism of society and everything is quite satirical, personally I thought it was a good story, despite the fact that the character's motives are not understood.
En esta película nos vamos a preparar y sorprender porque el chef decidió introducir unos ingredientes secretos a sus platos que nos dejarán con los pelos de punta. Realmente todo da un giro de una forma que yo no me lo esperaba, me quedé bastante sorprendida. Y obviamente no seguiré revelando mas nada, porque ahora es decisión de ustedes saber si quieren sorprenderse de la misma forma en que lo hice yo. Y creanme no vamos a entender lo que está sucediendo.
Aunque debo admitir que esto no es para todo público, yo tengo una gran admiración por la comida, por su preparación, por las personas que hacen este arte culinario. Pero realmente no se basa solamente en la cocina, también hay una profunda critica hacia la sociedad y todo es bastante satirico, en lo personal me pareció una buena historia, a pesar de que no se entienden los motivos del personaje.

Una de mis muchas cosas favoritas de esta película fueron las presentaciones de los platos, ese desgraciado aplauso antes de cada plato me daba escalofríos, y el plato final, una exquisites, me dejó llorando de placer, también fue una de mis películas favoritas, la amé mucho.
Ese aplauso tampoco me gustó, jajajaja, de hecho en una escena me asusté porque no lo ví venir y estaba usando audífonos 🎧 pero me encantó esta película, y si te fijas porque cada persona está ahí, de hecho, es una crítica a la sociedad

Oh! Esta película se ve realmente interesante, me gustan las películas de comida así que esta la tendré en mi lista de películas por ver.

Ciertamente es más que comida. Esa crítica vestida de restaurante tiene muy buenos momentos (y grandes actuaciones también) y aunque son inesperados para algunos, precisamente eso la diferencia un poco de otros dramas. También la disfruté cuando la vi y me quedó la misma sensación final que a ti. Saludos y gracias por compartir tu reseña.

I did it recently and it really surprised me a lot, and now it's part of my favorite movies. It is a harsh criticism for the unaccommodating and unconscious society
