Today I want to share with you about Nocebo, a film that touches on an interesting topic that exists in many ancient cultures and for many is a mystery, this "magic" or sorcery, I'm probably being ignorant by saying it like that but I don't know how else to tell it.
Hoy les quiero compartir sobre Nocebo una película que toca un tema interesante que existe en muchas culturas ancestrales y para muchos es una incógnita, esto de la "magia" o hechicería, probablemente esté siendo ignorante al decirle así pero no sé cómo más decirle.

From that day on, strange things begin, the woman begins to lose her memory, her hands seem to tremble, her shoulder and her body begin to have ailments. A series of diseases that do not seem to have an explanation and doctors do not seem to find a cure either.

Yo al primer instante que ví esta escena dije que eso era brujería, instintivamente lo dije por las creencias de mi tierra
Desde ese día empiezan las cosas extrañas, la mujer empieza a perder la memoria, sus manos parecen temblar, su hombro y su cuerpo a tener dolencias. Una serie de enfermedades que no parecen tener una explicación y los médicos al parecer tampoco encuentran la cura.

One day a Filipino woman appears and claims to bring help for her. The woman says that she invited her but since she is very sick, she didn't remember having done so... The truth of the story is that this Filipino woman is not an ordinary woman. Well, she says that she practices the traditional healing medicine of her town, but since this woman enters her life everything becomes more murky and little by little all the secrets of this fashion designer are revealed.
Un día aparece una mujer filipina que dice traer ayuda para ella, la mujer dice que ella la invitó pero como está muy mal no se acordaba de haberlo hecho... Lo cierto de la historia es que esta mujer filipina, no es una mujer ordinaria pues dice que practica la medicina tradicional sanadora de su pueblo, pero desde que esta mujer entra en su vida todo se hace más turbio y poco a poco se van relevando todos los secretos de esta diseñadora de modas.

Recapitulating a little more on what I said at the beginning, sorcery or witchcraft was what I called it but I really believe that it is something more than that, because the woman who arrives from the Philippines is really a kind of shaman who uses everything that nature provides and with that she can decide whether to exercise good or evil.
The film shows us what these cultures and beliefs are like, I know that it is not the first film that touches on this topic but it is really something interesting to explore because these things exist, although many people want to deny it, they are there and how do we explain it? We will see all these strange things in the film, how a woman is affected by this supernatural event and the truth of why she suffered that.
Recapitulando un poco más en lo que dije al principio, hechicería o brujería fue como lo llamé pero realmente creo que es algo más que eso, pues la mujer que llega de Filipinas realmente es una especie de chamana que usa todo lo que la naturaleza provee y con eso puede decidir si ejerce el bien o el mal.
La película nos muestra como son estas culturas y creencias, sé que no es la primera película que toca este tema pero realmente es algo interesante de explorar porque estas cosas existen, aunque mucha gente quiera negarlo está ahí y ¿cómo lo explicamos? Todas estas cosas extrañas las veremos en la película, como una mujer es afectada por este hecho sobrenatural y la verdad del por qué sufrió eso
The story of this film is quite tense, but I really like following every storyline that has mystical and horror events like in this film

Es bastante interesante de hecho, lo que me causó más curiosidad es que pensaba que aquí en latinos eran muy creyentes de eso y que fuera de nuestra burbuja esas cosas no se ven. Pero hace varios años indagando me di cuenta que realmente esas cosas vienen son de otros continentes, de la otra punta del mundo y de ahí se fue esparciendo. Y en esta película ví que lugares como Tailandia también sin bien creyentes de chamanes y curanderos
