CITADEL | Series review (Criticism)
Today I want to share my humble comments about a series that I was dying to see and since I was on another platform I couldn't do it until I finally bought Prime Video.
I'm talking about Citadel, I saw a couple of shorts before this series came out and it caught my attention and left me excited, I love spy movies, I like action and all the mystery, missions, getting out of my reality and think that I am also an undercover agent. This series started out pretty good, the first chapter leaves you intrigued but after that I feel like everything goes downhill.
Hoy quiero compartir mis humildes comentarios al respecto de una serie que me estaba muriendo de ganas por ver y como estaba en otra plataforma no había podido hacer hasta que finalmente adquirí Prime Video.
Estoy hablando de Citadel, vi un par de cortos antes de que esta serie saliera en estreno y me llamó bastante la atención y me había dejado entusiasmada, yo amo las películas de espías, me gusta la acción y todo el misterio, las misiones, salirme de mi realidad y pensar que también soy una agente encubierto. Esta serie comenzó bastante bien, el primer capítulo te deja intrigado pero después de eso siento que todo se viene en picada.

In this series we don't have a single protagonist, we have two Nadia and Mason. At first everything is fine, it seems that they meet again on a mission, they hadn't seen each other in months and you can tell that between these two characters there is immediately a chemistry that you can feel, making it clear that they are couples or once were. The truth is that they should have been there for a mission and it was an ambush, everything went wrong, and these two spies were thrown from the scene and badly injured, and with their memories erased (this was a measure on the part of the spy agency) Besides that, everyone fell into a different place, so it's as if all this never existed. With that first chapter everything looks quite promising.
En esta serie no tenemos un solo protagonista, tenemos a dos Nadia y Mason. Al principio todo bien, parece que se reencuentran en una misión, no se habían visto en meses y se nota que entre estos dos personajes inmediatamente hay una química que puedes sentir, dejándonos en claro que son parejas o alguna vez lo fueron. Lo cierto es que debían estar ahí para una misión y fue una emboscada, todo salió mal, y estos dos espías resultaron arrojados de la escenas y bastante heridos, y con la memoria borrada (esto fue una medida de parte de la agencia de espías) además de eso cada quien cayó en un lugar diferente, así que es como si todo esto no hubiera existido nunca. Con ese primer capítulo todo parece bastante prometedor.

But as the story unfolds, it becomes a bit more of the same, it's even pretty flat, and the acting becomes bland. The chronology of the series is lost at a point with so many flashbacks, you are never in the present and I understand that data from the past is relevant to know what happens to people now, however, I think it got a little out of control and came back boring scenes.
Pero a medida que se desarrolla la historia, se torna un poco más de lo mismo, incluso es bastante plana y las actuaciones se vuelven insípidas. La cronología de la serie se pierde en un punto con tantos flashback, nunca estás en el presente y entiendo que los datos del pasado son relevantes para conocer que sucede ahora con las personas, sin embargo, creo que se salió un poco de control y volvió las escenas aburridas.

The scenery looks great, I can not deny it. Everything looks quite luxurious, everything in order but does not convey anything else. Unfortunately it fails to keep you hooked, there are too many unknowns, too many clues that the film gives you that even you as a spectator are left lost and jaded.
I'm a little disappointed because I don't have very few expectations regarding series and movies, and I had done so with this one. It seemed that it was going to be a good production, that it would be a great success. The first chapter was a bomb and then the following ones make you completely lose interest until you reach the last chapter, where they give you a great revelation and after that you don't want to know anything else about the series that is actually short, it only has 6 chapters , but I feel that they wasted a lot of material in the 4 chapters in which the development should be and in the hook, they left everything for the end and at that point you just want to finish the series and not know anything about it, nor touch again the topic.
It didn't add anything, I didn't even feel pleased in the sense of watching something for entertainment, I didn't feel anything. I think it was something chaotic, unintelligible... Friend, there is no understanding there, for me this series was a resounding NO. I do not recommend it, do not waste your time.
La escenografía se ve estupenda, no lo puedo negar. Todo se ve bastante lujoso, todo en orden pero no trasmite más nada. Desafortunadamente no logra mantenerte enganchado, son demasiadas incógnitas, demasiados despistes que te da la película que incluso tú mismo como espectador quedas perdido y hastiado.
Estoy un poco decepcionada porque muy poco me creo expectativas con respecto a series y películas, y lo había hecho con esta. Parecía que iba a ser una producción buena, que sería un gran éxito. El primer capítulo fue una bomba y después los siguientes te hacen perder completamente el interés hasta llegar al último capítulo, donde te hacen una gran revelación y después de eso no quieres saber mas nada de la serie que de hecho es corta, tiene solamente 6 capítulos, pero siento que desperdiciaron bastante material en los 4 capítulos en los que debía estar el desarrollo y en el enganche, dejaron todo para el final y ya en ese punto solo deseas culminar la serie y no saber mas nada de ella, ni volver a tocar el tema.
No aportó nada, no me sentía ni siquiera complacida en el sentido de ver algo por entretenimiento, no sentí nada. Creo que fue algo caotico, ininteligible… Amigo, no hay comprensión ahí, para mi esta serie fue un rotundo NO. No la recomiendo, no pierdan su tiempo.
Siempre me ha gustado la trama de espías y agentes encubiertos, que chimbo que de algo prometedor hayas terminado decepcionada. No creo que la vea, confío en tu criterio, así que si no la recomiendas no la pienso ver. A veces sucede que lo que parece ser un éxito resulta ser una catástrofe.
