#MyHiveGoals - And That Was 2023!
So here we are....End of the year!
And now I get to step back, and revisit how I did overall on my journey on the blockchain. Here's what I started out with on January 1st, 2023 and my targets for the year!
Hive Power Goals
Hive Power Target = 150,000
Hive Power In 2023 = 14,600.432
Hive Power Today = 98,768.066
So this is pretty obvious, but I didn't even get close to my goal of 150,000 HP. And for that matter, I didn't even reach 100,000 HP, a little milestone that I have reached before but would have loved to get to it again this year.
Here's what's going to happen in 2024 for me, I'm going to stop tracking my HP goals. I'm just going to continue to create, add value every day and can, and let the chips fall where they may be.
I should get to 100,000 HP in about a month and that'll be good for me. Just letting it grow organically now over time and enjoying more of the layer 2 projects on chain as goals and targets to shoot for.
LEO Power Goals
LEO Power Target = 45,000, then 100,000
LEO Power In 2023 = 65,974.61
LEO Power Today = 103,465.61
I mean, it's safe to say I hit my target(s) this year on LEO! When I started out the year, I set my goals super low and hit the 45,000 target fairly quickly. I then made the decision to push myself, develop a dollar cost averaging habit, and create as much content as I could directly on InLeo!
2024 will be no different as I have my sights set on 150,000 LEO Power to reach the 'Apex Lion' status on the platform. So there won't be many changes in my day to day activities to accumulate $LEO other than, you guys will be so sick of me talking about it all the time lol Fair warning...
100 Hive / Day Rewards
So this week I averaged 52.58 Hive per day, and if you take a look at my entire year, this is right around what I was earning daily. So here's another goal that I really didn't even sniff at.
Still, if you would have told me I'd average 50 Hive per day for the year I'd be jumping up and down. Obviously, this doesn't all come into my HP, it's spread out and goes into multiple projects including HBD....Which is going to be a focus of mine in 2024.
So we'll say goodbye to my 'Hive Per Day' goals in 2024. If you have followed my posts last week, you'll see where I'll be focusing on over the next 365 days...
Growing $HBD (Starting at 301.98)
Getting to APEX Lion on $LEO (Starting at 103,465.61)
Building my ZING stake (Starting at 24,333)
Of course, I'll be monitoring my curation APR as well, which seems to be around 8-9% over the past 12 months....I'll always try to do better there because here's the thing....And a big reason why I'm so bullish on this blockchain year after year....
Our chain allows for us, token holders, to distribute rewards through curation! So as I continue to create on chain, I'll be doing everything I can to spread those tokens out....Hive and LEO!
And the next adventure begins.....This week!
Here comes 2024 and I hope every single one of us has an epic year on chain. No matter what the project, what you focus is, I wish you nothing but success in the new year.

At least, you have considerably increased your HIVE and LEO Powers. I also have smaller goals during the year and achieve them in 3 or 4 months. My main goal in 2024 is accumulating 1000 HBD in my saving account.
I wish you a happy and productive year both in real and on HIVE mate ;)
That's my thinking, HBD growth is going to be a huge focus for a lot of us!!

I think by the 1st quarter end you would reach those goals. ZING I am not sure where the game is as of yet. If it's not yet playable I think we would have to wait and see where the game goes. I think it is the year of the results for me. As per numerology it's a year 8 of saturn. So yeah only hardwork and discipline pays off, no passive efforts. Happy New year, Jon! :)

For me its all about HP atm, even during bull market, might sell some rewards but want to keep buying and achieve 20k on 2024, there are a lot of things going on like LEO, VSC, HOLOZING, SPL that will keep growing and everything harness back into Hive, would love to get more LEO but for now I haven't reach my HP goal so one step at a time, there will be another bear market latter down the road, stay focus and positive as you did on 2023, Hive is the way, good times ahead 😎
I think that's a great plan. Focus on one thing until you hit the goal and then move to the next one. I should follow that advice but alas...I'm a glutton for punishment!

At least you are focusing on just a few goals and it's not like your Hive won't be growing. The Hive inflation does add on those staked HP even if it's just a little bit.

Your hive power achievement is amazing and i hope you achieve all your goals have a happy new year. I am trying to reach a 100 hive power and a big target of a 1000 I have been trying to do it without putting put of pocket money into the system.

Some solid progress to wrap up the year for you! The good thing about goals is they come and some don’t but it’s the journey that’s important.
I’m also doing a little bit of a pivot away from tracking my hive power progress - I’ll be certainly keeping an eye on it but instead focusing on the content, community and engagement. That’s where it will be better to just stay on the community and build and grow as it may.
Congrats on hitting your Leo goal! I’m crossing 5,000 leo today which is exciting, I attained that goal I set for myself. I would love to try and double it and go for 10k leo for the end of the year next year but don’t know if that’s possible.

It can happen for anyone, I'm a nobody and just stuck with this stuff for years.
I'm not looking at my overall HP goal this year. I want to look at my post goals too. Obviously, engagement is going to be a focus for me. I'd like to get my post rewards above 10 HP per post. I have struggles with this and have yet to figure out how to get the attention of larger curation accounts that seem to key in upping my rewards. I like to focus on my comments qty as I beleve that is a good indicator of the value I bring to the platform. I also want to focus on creating a more personal voice to my account. I feel like I only connect with people on the surface level.
I wish there was a secret formula for it, but it's literally...Keep showing up, engage and be seen as much as you can, for as long as you can, everywhere you can.
It makes sense hard work will eventually pay off

I hope I show people, that anyone can do this. I have zero tech ability, pretty much no extra fiat to spend, and this past year, i was gone pretty much the entire year....It's literally, showing up, no matter what, and putting in the effort that works here.

We should not set an unrealistic goal for the year 2024.
In my opinion (I may be wrong ) we should try to be consistant and try to add value and try to learn something new.
We should forget about reward, If we penic about reward tjen we stuck in difficulty.
