Hello everyone, dear community of fans of good stories. I hope you're feeling great today... on this occasion, I want to share with you the last part of the reviews I've been doing on the Deadpool movies. And obviously, to finish, I had to come and tell you about the most recent release of Deadpool and Wolverine. I saw this movie a few weeks ago, not exactly when it just came out, but a few weeks after.... As a Marvel fan, and especially a fan of these two characters, I had pretty high expectations, and I must admit that, in some part, the movie fulfilled most of them... first, let's talk about the good stuff. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is obviously still amazing, his interpretation of the mercenary Mouthy is funny and cheeky as always.

You can tell this actor enjoys every second of the battle... the jokes and fourth wall breaks are as always, very visible within the story. And although sometimes it can be a little excessive with the jokes, in general it manages to maintain the comic rhythm that we expect to see from a classic... I think the humor, as I had already commented in my previous reviews, does not fit, or hit the mark well in all aspects, there are jokes that are great, but others that are not so much... For example, I questioned a little bit the need at the beginning of the movie to resort to so many jokes or references to the purchase of Fox by Disney. But hey, the chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is spectacular, seeing these two icons share the screen is simply a dream come true for me and many fans, and it really doesn't disappoint. Wolverine is very cool to watch.. he completely disassociates himself from the previous role in the Logan movie, and we see a much different, more brooding Wolverine, and wearing his classic yellow suit from the comics.... This just made me smile a lot.

Espero que se encuentren genial en el día de hoy.. en esta ocasión, les quiero compartir la última parte de las reseñas que he estado haciendo a las películas de Deadpool. Y obviamente, para terminar, tenía que venir a hablarles de la más reciente estrenada de Deadpool and Wolverine. Yo vi esta película hace algunas semanas, no exactamente cuando recién se estrenó, sino unas pocas semanas después.. Como fan de Marvel, y especialmente fanático de estos dos personajes, tenía expectativas bastante altas, y debo admitir que, en cierta parte, la película cumplió con la mayoría de ellas.. primero, hablemos de lo bueno. Ryan Reynolds como Deadpool obviamente sigue siendo increíble, su interpretación del mercenario Bocazas es divertida y descarada como siempre.

Se nota que este actor disfruta cada segundo de la batalla.. los chistes y las rupturas de la cuarta pared están como siempre, muy visibles dentro de la historia. Y aunque a veces pueda ser un poco excesivo con los chistes, en general logra mantener el ritmo cómico que esperamos ver de una clásica.. creo que el humor, como ya les había comentado en mis anteriores reseñas, no encaja, o atina bien el golpe en todos los aspectos, hay chistes que son buenísimos, pero otros que no tanto.. Por ejemplo, me cuestioné un poco la necesidad de al principio de la película el recurrir a tantos chistes o referencias a la compra de Fox por Disney. Pero bueno, la química entre Ryan Reynolds y Hugh Jackman como Wolverine es espectacular, ver a estos dos íconos compartir la pantalla es simplemente un sueño hecho realidad para mí y muchos fans, y realmente no decepciona. Wolverine es muy genial de ver.. se desliga completamente del papel anterior en la película de Logan, y vemos a un Wolverine mucho más diferente, más melancólico, y usando su clásico traje amarillo de los cómics.. Esto simplemente me hizo sonreír mucho.

The various action sequences are another strong point and one that I really liked in this movie... they are obviously violent, creative and a lot of fun to watch. The combination of the powers of these two almost immortal characters makes for some really spectacular scenes that will surely satisfy action lovers... but well, not everything is perfect. The plot, although it can be entertaining, I think it is the lowest point of this movie. The premise of Deadpool having to save his universe is interesting, but for some moments it seems just an excuse to put them to fight and tell jokes for no reason and not having a clear objective. The handling of the multiverse aspects, although it gives rise to several funny situations and some exciting cameos, sometimes unnecessarily complicates the story.. speaking of the elephant in the room, my opinion about the cameos...

The movie is full of them and while some are really cool, others feel a bit unnecessary.... It's always good to see interesting characters referencing the comics or other past movies, I'm always pretty bullish on these types of cameos, but I feel like they could have made a better choice of characters they wanted to introduce to the movie. Sometimes I feel like this one forgets to tell a story of its own and concentrates more on making references, jokes, winks, insults, cameos... which, while they may make you scream, they're only there for that and you know they're there for that, so it feels a little gratuitous.... I don't know if I'm making myself clear. I would have liked it if it did include a good variety of characters from other films, but that there was a genuine connection to the narrative, a real context for why these characters are there or have appeared, beyond something flat.

Las distintas secuencias de acción son otro punto fuerte y que me gustó mucho de esta película.. obviamente son violentas, creativas y muy divertidas de ver. La combinación de los poderes de estos dos personajes casi inmortales da lugar a algunas escenas realmente espectaculares que seguramente lograrán satisfacer a los amantes de la acción.. pero bueno, no todo es perfecto. La trama, aunque puede llegar a ser entretenida, creo que es el punto más bajo de esta película. Son varias veces las ocasiones que se sienten forzadas y confusas, la premisa de Deadpool teniendo que salvar a su universo es interesante, la verdad, pero por algunos momentos parece solo una excusa para ponerlos a pelear y a contar chistes sin razón y no teniendo un objetivo claro. El manejo de los aspectos del multiverso, aunque da pie a varias situaciones divertidas y algunos cameos emocionantes, a veces complica innecesariamente la historia.. hablando del elefante en la habitación, mi opinión sobre los cameos..

La película está llena de ellos y aunque algunos son realmente geniales, otros se sienten un poco innecesarios.. Siempre es bueno ver a personajes interesantes que hagan referencia a los cómics o a otras películas pasadas, yo siempre soy bastante optimista con este tipo de cameos, pero siento que pudieron elegir mejor a los personajes que querían introducir a la película. A veces siento que esta se olvida de contar una historia propia y se concentra más en hacer referencias, chistes, guiños, insultos, cameos... que, si bien pueden hacerte gritar, solo están ahí para eso y sabes que están ahí para eso, entonces se siente un poco gratuito.. No sé si me doy a entender. Me hubiera gustado que sí incluyera a una buena variedad de personajes de otras películas, pero que hubiera una conexión genuina con la narrativa, un contexto real del porqué estos personajes están ahí o han aparecido, más allá de algo plano.

But of course, despite my opinions about the coherent integration of these characters, I was actually glad to see them. It was interesting to get to know these characters a bit more and see them in action... it was entertaining, it's a curious group that is formed at the end of the movie and it left me satisfied in some aspects... One thing that did disappoint me is that, despite being a continuation or homage, so to speak, to the old Fox mutant saga, this movie did not include the characters that I thought would be included... I feel it would have been nostalgic, emotional and very surprising to see Deadpool, along with other relevant characters from the past X-men movies...

As for the villain, Cassandra Nova, is another point that left me with some mixed feelings. I feel like the actress does a good job with what she gives her, but the character isn't that well developed as a believable villain, she feels wasted, especially considering how interesting Cassandra Nova is in the comics... But hey, I think villains are sometimes some of the most problematic things in Marvel superhero movies these days.

Pero por supuesto, a pesar de mis opiniones sobre la integración coherente de estos personajes, la verdad me dio gusto verlos. Fue interesante conocer un poco más a estos personajes y verlos en acción.. fue entretenido, es un grupo curioso el que se forma al final de la película y me dejó satisfecho en algunos aspectos.. Una cosa que sí me decepcionó es que, a pesar de ser una continuación o un homenaje, por así decirlo, a la antigua saga de los mutantes de Fox, en esta película no se incluyeron los personajes que yo pensé que se incluirían.. siento que hubiera sido nostálgico, emotivo y muy sorprendente ver a Deadpool, junto a otros personajes relevantes de las películas pasadas de los X-men..

En cuanto a la villana, Cassandra Nova, es otro punto que me dejó algunos sentimientos encontrados. Siento que la actriz hace un buen trabajo con lo que le da, pero el personaje no está tan bien desarrollado como un villano creíble, se siente desaprovechada, especialmente considerando lo interesante que es Cassandra Nova en los cómics.. Pero bueno, creo que los villanos a veces son de las cosas más problemáticas en las películas de superhéroes de Marvel actualmente.

My opinion about the way Deadpool was integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is interesting... there are a lot of references and jokes about that, at the beginning of the movie, especially. And although some of them seemed unnecessary to me, there were some unknowns that I hope soon in the future can be solved... and it's always good to know that even though we are in a Disney franchise, Deadpool still kept his characteristic personality, his rudeness, his violence, and everything that makes this character what he is. The soundtrack was good, there are some musical choices that are predictable, but overall it works well... many of you who will have seen this movie will agree that the opening sequence where Deadpool is in the snow, with a very interesting song, was without a doubt one of the best of the movie. It was a scene that gave me a lot of laughs and that I really enjoyed watching... it's funny how movie characters can revive a song and make it super popular.

As for the climax of the movie, yes it's true that we were presented with some scenes with an emotional depth that I wasn't really expecting... especially considering the generally irreverent nature of the movie. I don't know why I had the feeling that since it was Deadpool, it would be all black humor and unbridled action. But I was surprised that on some occasions they showed more human and emotional sides of these characters, I think it was a good way to integrate that into the story, mainly everything to do with Wolverine. Although I would have personally liked it to be developed in a deeper way... I feel that the little glimpses they gave us to the universe and the history of this Wolverine were very interesting.

The production design is great, there are plenty of winks and visual easter eggs for comic book fans, and clearly the visual effects play an important role, they never look overdone or fake.. like in some previous Marvel movies, but are pretty decent. I think at a time when many are fatigued by the superhero genre, this movie injects a dose of energy and humor that is truly needed. While clearly not a perfect movie, there are specific action moments that make up for the price of the ticket.

Mi opinión sobre la manera de integrar a Deadpool al universo cinematográfico de Marvel es interesante.. hay muchas referencias y bromas sobre eso, al principio de la película, sobre todo. Y aunque algunas me parecieron innecesarias, sí se presentaron algunas incógnitas que espero pronto en el futuro se puedan resolver.. y siempre es bueno saber que aunque estemos en una franquicia de Disney, Deadpool siguió manteniendo su personalidad característica, sus groserías, su violencia, y todo lo que hace a este personaje ser lo que es. La banda sonora estuvo buena, hay algunas elecciones musicales que son predecibles, pero en general funciona bien.. muchos de los que habrán visto esta película estarán de acuerdo que la secuencia inicial donde Deadpool está en la nieve, con una canción muy interesante, sin duda fue de lo mejor de la película. Fue una escena que me dio mucha risa y que me gustó mucho de ver.. es curioso como los personajes de las películas pueden revivir una canción y volverla super popular.

En cuanto al clímax de la película, si es verdad que nos presentaron unas escenas con una profundidad emocional que no me esperaba la verdad.. especialmente considerando el carácter generalmente irreverente de la película. No sé por qué tenía la sensación de que al tratarse de Deadpool, todo sería humor negro y acción desenfrenada. Pero me sorprendió que en algunas ocasiones mostraran lados más humanos y emotivos de estos personajes, creo que fue una buena manera de integrar eso a la historia, principalmente todo lo relacionado con Wolverine. Aunque me hubiera gustado personalmente que se desarrollara de una manera más profunda.. siento que los pequeños vistazos que nos dieron al universo y a la historia de este Wolverine eran muy interesantes.

El diseño de producción es genial, hay muchos guiños y easter eggs visuales para los fans de los cómics, y claramente los efectos visuales juegan un papel importante, nunca se ven exagerados o falsos.. como en algunas películas de Marvel anteriores, sino que son bastante decentes. Creo que en un momento en los que a muchos les fatiga el género de superhéroes, esta película inyecta una dosis de energía y humor que es la verdad necesaria. Aunque claramente no es una película perfecta, hay momentos de acción específicos que compensan el precio del boleto.

It's good to know that to see this movie you don't need too intense a knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the previous X-Men movies...it's great that anyone who simply wants to enjoy some action can go see the movie. This story, as some may expect, has laughs and action, that's its central focus. It has its ups and downs, but it manages to deliver an entertaining and satisfying experience.... It's nothing earth-shattering, it just keeps you entertained and, as I said, it's good to see these characters interact.

I think that, for being the only movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe this year, it was decent... there is a good introduction of a known character to an already known universe... and we can only wait to see if they will continue taking advantage of this way of telling stories, or if we simply won't see our friend Deadpool again until the Avengers movies. I hope you liked this review, I'll see you in the next ones... my rating for this movie is an 8/10. I think it's worth it, especially if you're a fan of these characters. Es bueno saber que para ver esta película no es necesario un conocimiento demasiado intenso sobre el universo cinematográfico de Marvel o las películas anteriores de X-Men.. es genial que cualquier persona que simplemente quiera disfrutar algo de acción pueda ir a ver la película. Esta historia, como algunos podrán esperar, tiene risas y acción, eso es su enfoque central. Tiene sus altibajos, pero logra ofrecer una experiencia entretenida y satisfactoria.. No es nada del otro mundo, simplemente te entretiene y, como les decía, es bueno ver a estos personajes interactuar.

Creo que, para ser la única película del universo cinematográfico de Marvel en este año, fue decente.. hay una introducción buena de un personaje conocido a un universo ya conocido.. y solo queda esperar ver si seguirán aprovechando esta manera de contar las historias, o si simplemente no volveremos a ver a nuestro amigo Deadpool hasta las películas de Avengers. Espero que les haya gustado esta reseña, nos veremos en las próximas.. mi calificación para esta película es un 8/10. Creo que vale la pena, especialmente si eres fanático de estos personajes.
