I want to share with you my opinion of Moriarty The Patriot. Surely very few people have heard of it. It is not so well known, this interesting series is starred by the famous criminal and mastermind: William James Moriarty, the nemesis of the well-known Sherlock Holmes! In this series we will follow the story of this interesting character, we will immerse ourselves in the classic intellectual battles plagued by conspiracies... and strictly planned crimes, which will take place in ancient England. If you are fans of mind games... intelligence battles, in the style of Death Note, you will be very comfortable with this anime, its aesthetics is very similar.

Saludos a todos! Hola, espero que se encuentren genial el día de hoy, comunidad de The Anime Realm. Les quiero compartir una nueva reseña, se trata de un anime de misterio y crimen.. Les quiero compartir mi opinión de Moriarty The Patriot. Seguramente muy pocas personas han oído hablar de él. No es tan conocido, esta interesante serie está protagonizada por el famoso criminal y mente maestra: William James Moriarty, el némesis del conocido Sherlock Holmes! En esta serie seguiremos la historia de este interesante personaje, nos sumergiremos en las clásicas batallas intelectuales plagadas de conspiraciones.. y crímenes estrictamente planificados, que se llevaran a cabo en la Inglaterra antigua. Sí son fans de los juegos mentales.. las batallas de inteligencia, al estilo de Death Note, quedarán muy a gusto con este anime, su estética es muy similar.

After finishing this anime, I must say that I liked it a lot. The plot is very good and interesting... we follow Moriarty, a young nobleman who has a very brilliant mind, and an extraordinary ability to devise master plans, and perfect crimes. The story takes place in the so-called Victorian England, a time that is strongly marked by the difference of social classes among its inhabitants. Our protagonist, William, hates with all his strength this system, and the way in which noble people or people of "high social rank" mistreat and abuse the lower classes. That is why, together with his partners, Louis, and Albert, they found a "criminal practice" to avenge all the victims of corrupt and abusive nobles. In the first season of this series, we can see how William plans very elaborate crimes, solves cases of abuse, and devises very good plans for criminals to end up falling into their own trap, and therefore in his own grave.

I loved the crudeness with which they show life, and the actions of lousy morals of most nobles, portraying them in a way quite close to reality, beings full of greed and disgust towards others, unfortunately, once in the sight of the master of crime, he does not hesitate to use unorthodox methods to do justice, and becomes a strange kind of anti-hero, bordering between good and evil, killing these nobles for their actions and / or behavior. Later, as expected, Sherlock Holmes enters the scene, and the way he adds to the story I thought it was pretty cool... the way in which both of them face each other intellectually, elevates the plot a lot, many people (me included) were waiting for the moment in which these geniuses had to face each other, these scenes were undoubtedly the best of the series.

Luego de terminar este anime, debo decir que me gusto bastante. La trama es muy buena e interesante.. seguimos a Moriarty, un joven noble que tiene una mente muy brillante, y una habilidad extraordinaria para idear planes maestros, y crimines perfectos. La historia se desarrolla en la llamada Inglaterra victoriana, una época que está fuertemente marcada por la diferencia de clases sociales entre sus habitantes. Nuestro protagonista, William, odia con todas sus fuerzas este sistema, y la manera en que las personas nobles o de “alto rango social” maltratan y abusan de las clases más bajas.. Es por esto, que junto a sus compañeros, Louis, y Albert, fundan un “consultorio criminal” para vengar a todas las víctimas de nobles corruptos y maltratadores. En la primera temporada de esta serie, podremos ver como William planea crímenes muy elaborados, resuelve casos de maltrato, e idea planes muy buenos para que los criminales acaben cayendo en su propia trampa, y por ende en su propia tumba.

Me encanto la crudeza con la que muestran la vida, y las acciones de pésima moral de la mayoría de nobles, los retratan de una manera bastante acercada a la realidad, seres llenos de codicia y de repudio hacia los demás, lastimosamente, una vez en la vista del amo del crimen, este no duda en usar métodos poco ortodoxos para hacer justicia, y se convierte en una especia extraña de antihéroe, que raya entre el bien y el mal, asesinando a estos nobles por sus acciones y/o comportamientos. Más tarde, como era de esperar, entra en escena Sherlock Holmes, y la manera como se añade a la historia me pareció bastante genial.. la manera en la que ambos se enfrentan intelectualmente, eleva mucho la trama, muchas personas (yo incluido) esperábamos mucho el momento en el que estos genios tuvieran que enfrentarse, estas escenas sin duda fueron las mejores de la serie.

The second season focuses precisely more on the contrast between Moriarty and Holmes, we see much more of the remarkable detective skills of Sherlock, who is determined to prove William's guilt, and bring him to justice, proving that he is the master of crime. However, Moriarty always seems to be one step ahead of him, mocking his attempts to uncover him, making the tug-of-war between these two fun and exciting.

I really liked how this anime portrays the weird almost unhealthy obsession of these two geniuses, each is totally determined to intellectually defeat the other, it's very cool... They even come to admire each other, even though their ethical views are completely opposite, they really enjoy having a worthy rival to face. There are very well written scenes in the battles of these two, they're very exciting, it's entertaining to watch...

La segunda temporada se centra precisamente más en el contraste entre Moriarty y Holmes, vemos mucho más las habilidades destacables detectivescas de Sherlock, quien está empeñado en demostrar la culpabilidad de William, y llevarlo ante la justicia, demostrando que él es el amo del crimen. Sin embargo, Moriarty siempre parece ir un paso delante de él, burlándose de los intentos de este por descubrirlo, haciendo divertida y emocionante el tira y afloja de estos dos.

Me gustó mucho como este anime retrata la rara obsesión casi enfermiza de estos dos genios, cada uno está totalmente determinado a derrotar intelectualmente al otro, es muy genial.. Incluso llegan a admirarse mutuamente, aunque sus visiones éticas sean completamente opuestas, disfrutan mucho teniendo un rival digno al que enfrentar. Hay escenas muy bien escritas en las batallas de estos dos, son muy emocionantes, es entretenido de ver..

I found this anime to be an excellent work, both in terms of plot and character development. Even the secondary characters have chemistry, they are charismatic and well built... of the secondary characters the one I like the most is Albert, he has all that serenity and confidence of an older brother, and without a doubt the most intelligent of the group, after Moriarty. Also the way in which this anime teaches us a little bit of history, is quite good, it has that historical touch that is necessary to give you context of the class inequality that existed at that time...

The Japanese voice acting is incredible, especially William's, he transmits all that evil and calmness that a murderer must have.... It's very entertaining to watch him get away with it, and I think part of the credit goes to the voice actor. The animation is not very flashy, it's simple, it gives us good character designs, and good action scenes, it's not its strongest suit, but it's enjoyable, it's not a problem to watch. Also the soundtrack is good, the openings are quite well done, the songs go perfectly with the aesthetics that the series wants to convey. I give it a rating of 8/10. Although it was good, I would have liked to see more protagonism of Sherlock, and there are some parts that were somewhat rushed... it felt like the climax ended quickly, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

Overall it's a pretty good anime, I recommend many to fans of mystery, or the police-criminal genre, it is also ideal for people who enjoy the classic confrontations between detectives. If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes, you will not regret giving a chance to this work with dark touches, you will surely enjoy watching two of the most iconic characters of literature battling. Este anime me pareció una excelente obra, tanto argumentalmente, como desarrollando sus personajes. Incluso los secundarios tienen química, son carismáticos y bien construidos.. de los secundarios el que más me gusta es Albert, tiene toda esa serenidad y confianza de hermano mayor, y sin duda el más inteligente del grupo, después de Moriarty. También la manera en la que este anime nos enseña un poquito de historia, es bastante buena, tiene ese toque histórico que es necesario para darte contexto de la desigualdad de clases que existió en esa época..

Las actuaciones de voz en japonés son increíbles, en especial la de William, transmite toda esa maldad y calma que un asesino ha de tener.. Es muy entretenido verlo salirse con la suya, y creo que parte del crédito es para el actor de doblaje. La animación pues.. no es muy vistosa, es simple, nos da buenos diseños de personajes, y escenas de acción buenas, no es su mayor fuerte, pero es disfrutable, no es un problema a la hora de ver. También la banda sonora es buena, los openings están bastante bien hechos, las canciones van perfectamente con la estética que quiere transmitir la serie. Le doy de calificación un 8/10. Aunque estuvo bien, me fuera gustado ver más protagonismo de Sherlock, y hay algunas partes que fueron algo apresuradas.. se sintió como que el clímax termino rápidamente, aunque igual lo disfrute bastante.

En líneas generales es un anime bastante bueno, recomiendo muchos a los fans del misterio, o del género policial-criminalística, también es ideal para las personas que disfrutan de los enfrentamientos clásicos entre detectives. Si eres fan de Sherlock Holmes, no te arrepentirás en darle una oportunidad a esta obra con toques oscuros, seguramente disfrutarás ver batallando a dos de los personajes más icónicos de la literatura.
