Nowhere: Shocking Survival Story

In the past, I had never been a big movie watcher, but after watching one movie, my perception changed, and now I am enthusiastic about watching movies and series. I have realized that movies can entertain me and provide a break from my daily routine. I have also learned that movies can teach me important life lessons and open up my perspective.

I became interested in watching movies after watching Squid Game, a K-drama series that completely changed my perception of K-drama. After watching that series, I realized how talented and amazing many K-drama actors are. I was amazed by their acting skills and how they were able to portray such realistic characters. I also gained an appreciation for the Korean film industry and the diverse stories they tell. I was hooked and decided to watch more K-dramas.

Ever since then, I have watched many other interesting K-drama and non-Kdrama series. In all of these movies and series that I have watched, there is one that has stuck with me for long after the credits roll.

Have you experienced something similar to that before?

We all have at least one cinematic experience. Whether it’s an emotional love story or spooky horror, each has its own special way of pulling our emotions. For me, that movie was 'Nowhere'.

I originally read the title as 'Now Here' but later realized it was Nowhere, a Netflix movie I watched. I was captivated by the heartbreaking journey of the main characters and was left feeling moved and inspired. The movie left a lasting impression on me and has remained one of my favorites to this day.

When I started watching the movie, at first it seemed like it was going to be a boring movie, but I continued watching.

Everything in that movie felt so real, especially when the woman was in labour and delivered her baby by herself inside the water. I cried because of the emotions that I felt. I was amazed at how the character was able to remain calm and focused despite the intense pain.

Initially, the people who captured her and some others planned to take them somewhere, but something went wrong, and all of them died. However, the woman hid herself somewhere where the bullets would not hit her and was the only one who survived in the container.

As the container was being transported to another place, it got lost in the sea. The pregnant lady was all alone inside the container.

There were scenes in the movie that showed how she was able to survive all alone in the container. She used her wits and resourcefulness to stay alive and eventually escape.

After giving birth to her baby, she did her best to take care of her child and also survived on the food that was stored in the container.

When the food ran out, she was unable to eat; it was a difficult time for her as she had to eat to breastfeed her baby, but after being hungry for a long time with nothing to eat, she opened the container where she stored her placenta and ate it, which shocked me. She was desperate and thought that the placenta was the only way she could get nourishment for herself and her baby. I was stunned and speechless.

In the end, she and her baby were rescued by a passing ship. Although the movie ended on a sad note, since she lost both her husband and daughter, it did not show what happened after they were rescued.

I like the movie, but I would have liked to see the aftermath of the rescue. What were the consequences of this experience? What were the long-term effects?

It would have been longer and possibly boring if they had shown those parts, so I recommend you watch it as it ended well.

That main character would have gone through a lot of challenges throughout the movie. I have just seen the clips of movie on Facebook in where that woman was in container and trying to save herself from dying. Even this is second review which I am reading about the same movie. So it's making me curious.

I remember coming across the review of this movie on TikTok and I just realized that it will be too painful for me to watch it, considering it's a pregnant woman trapped in a container. You really tried for being able to watch it to the end

Oh my God! I saw this movie last week and honestly, I had a rollercoaster of emotions. Would I watch it again? Nooooo please😭. It is too intense and I just couldn’t imagine that happening to someone in real life and how scary it would be.

She really tried to not give up. I like the part where her baby kicked when she was about to off herself. Her baby saved her and gave her hope. All she did till the point of rescue was to live for her baby. Honestly, motherhood is truly beautiful 🥹.

So many parts of the movie got me so hooked and scared. I was so glad when they got rescued. Just like you though, I feel the ending was incomplete but then, it is a really good movie.

Yeah....Her baby gave her hope, and I understand that feeling.

Prior to that time, she had not felt her baby kick, and had thought that something had happened to her child.

It is a good movie🙂

She was desperate and thought that the placenta was the only way she could get nourishment for herself and her baby.

Survival instincts make us do the needful. However, it is heart wrenching

I'm on my way to search for this movie, though it sounds very horrific but I would love to experience the movie first hand. Koreans are good at creating movies that forces you to sympathize with the characters.

That movie deserves an Oscar or whatever highest degree of award. It got me thinking about my own survival skills if I were to find myself in such life life-taking situation. It took me on an emotional ride. Damn it.
