My predictions for the Emmys 2024 [En-Es]
We continue with the awards season and next Monday, January 15 is the turn of the Emmy Awards. The American television awards. Let's remember that it is the ceremony postponed from last year due to the screenwriters' strike.

While watching the Golden Globes last Sunday on TNT Latin America, they announced during commercial breaks that they will also broadcast the 75th edition of the prestigious Emmys. If the Golden Globes were boring with that presenter with bad jokes, I don't want to imagine the amount of yawns the Emmys will provoke. That's why my recommendation is to watch it alternating your time with the comments on Twitter ( Yes, it's X, but I'll keep calling it Twitter) it's the only way to not fall asleep.
My betting predictions, favorites in this post, are based on my tastes and what I've seen. I'll focus on the most important categories. A few days ago the Emmy Awards were handed out in technical categories at another ceremony, where apparently The Last Of Us took the most. Will the same thing happen on Monday?
Mientras veía los Globos de Oro el pasado domingo en TNT Latinoamérica, anunciaron en las pausas publicitarias que también retransmitirán la 75 edición de los prestigiosos Emmys. Así que no tienes excusa, ya sabes dónde verlo. Aunque son ceremonias pesadas, me gusta escuchar los discursos de los ganadores mientras los perdedores tienen que fingir felicidad.
Si los Globos de Oro fueron aburridos con ese presentador con chistes malos, no me quiero imaginar la cantidad de bostezos que provocarán los Emmy. Por eso mi recomendación es que lo veas alternando tu tiempo con los comentarios en Twitter ( Sí, es X, pero seguiré llamándolo Twitter) es la única manera de no dormirse.
Mis pronósticos de apuestas, favoritas en este post, se basan en mis gustos y en lo que he visto. Me centraré en las categorías más importantes. Hace unos días se entregaron los premios Emmy en categorías técnicas en otra ceremonia, donde al parecer The Last Of Us se llevó la mayoría. ¿Ocurrirá lo mismo el lunes?
Best Lead Actor - Drama
Three Succession actors in this category. Cox, Culkin and Strong. Culkin was the winner at the Golden Globes, but don't get excited fans. The Emmys judging is very different. I'm sure one of them will be the winner. I would give it to Culkin. Another nominee is Bob Odenkirk for the terrific Better Call Saul, but Succession gets in the way and knocks it out. Pascal will get his moment next time.
Best Lead Actress - Drama
I will repeat something many times in this post: Succession is unstoppable. Very safe in all categories. Sarah Snook will take the statuette. Very good all the others in competition. Bella Ramsey just like Pascal, will already have her moment in the second season of The Last Of Us. Plus, she's also from HBO. That's why the award goes to the Succession actress.
Best Supporting Actor - Drama
HBO dominates the nominations. In this category everyone is from HBO. Actors from two series. The White Lotus and Succession. As much as I like The White Lotus, the same thing will happen as at the Golden Globes. The undisputed winner will be Matthew Macfadyen. It's his season. The big winner in both fiction and reality. Best Supporting Actress - Drama
This category hurts me. There's Debicki, but she won't win, although she'll get another chance. The Crown's final season, where she had the most weight in the first four episodes, is the one that will make the list for the next Emmys. The one who won't get another chance is Rhea Seehorn for playing Kim on Better Call Saul . I'd like her to win, but she's got it tough. I'm pretty sure the winner will be Jennifer Coolidge for The White Lotus.

These people are going to play it safe. Jeremy Allen White for The Bear will take the award from everyone else. Odd that it's comedy category when the series is more of a drama. Although HBO's clout is big and Bill Harder is lurking.

Bella Ramsey al igual que Pascal, ya tendrá su momento en la segunda temporada de The Last Of Us. Además, ella también es de HBO. Por eso el premio es para la actriz de Succession.
Mejor Actor de Reparto - Drama
HBO domina las nominaciones. En esta categoría todos son de HBO. Actores de dos series. The White Lotus y Succession. Por mucho que me guste The White Lotus, pasará lo mismo que en los Globos de Oro. El ganador indiscutible será Matthew Macfadyen. Es su temporada. El gran triunfador tanto en la ficción como en la realidad. ¿Lo dudas? ¿Cuál es tu favorito?

I think the duel will be between the actors of Barry and The Bear . Very tough category. Barry has the advantage that it was his last season and if Hader doesn't win in lead, they make up for it by awarding an actor from the series in this category. So everyone happy with their piece of the pie.
Supporting Actress in Comedy
Ayo Edebori picked up momentum by winning the Golden Globe. She deserves it. I have a feeling she will give a thank you speech again. She has everything going for her and I love both her character and the series.
Comedy series
The family duel. Barry vs. The Bear. I would award it to Barry for his excellent closing of the story. A round ending. But the complications to open The Bear's restaurant have the approval of the public and critics. In addition to an episode to frame. My money's on The Bear.
Miniseries or limited series
Watched the Golden Globes, my conclusion in this category is that Beef and Dahmer (both from Netflix) will fight for the award. Beef triumphed at the Golden Globes, but I think they will go for Serial Killer here.

Beef's two leads are the favorites after winning the Golden Globe. But let's not forget Evan Peters' great performance as Dahmer. I'm going to go out on a limb, Peters will win actor and Ali Wong will win actress for Beef.
Dramatic series
The only one I haven't seen is Andor (I don't plan to see it either). The others are excellent. Several are my favorites , but they can't share the award or split it. I already told them that The Crown will have a chance in the next edition , so we'll rule it out. Bette Calle Saul , I love that series and would give it the award , but it's already lajana its departure. House of The Dragon and The Last Of Us are releasing second seasons , so they will be dueling again later this year . The White Lotus didn't make it through its first season. Yellowjackets had a lot of twists and I didn't like the ending of the second season. So the outright winner, because every episode of the last season was a thrill bomb, is Succession. betting?
The other categories are up to you. Next Monday is the ceremony. Let's see how many I get right. I invite you to watch the awards, hoping that something fun happens and I don't fall asleep. Creo que el duelo será entre los actores de Barry y The Bear . Categoría muy dura. Barry tiene la ventaja de que era su última temporada y si no gana Hader en protagonista, lo compensan premiando a un actor de la serie en esta categoría. Así que todos contentos con su trozo de pastel.
Actriz secundaria de comedia
Ayo Edebori cogió impulso al ganar el Globos de oro. Se lo merece. Tengo la sensación de que volverá a dar un discurso de agradecimiento. Lo tiene todo a su favor y me encanta tanto su personaje como la serie.

El duelo familiar. Barry contra The Bear. Yo se lo concedería a Barry por su excelente cierre de la historia. Un final redondo. Pero las complicaciones para abrir el restaurante de The Bear cuentan con el beneplácito de público y crítica. Además de un episodio para enmarcar. Apuesto por The Bear.

Vistos los Globos de Oro, mi conclusión en esta categoría es que Beef y Dahmer (ambas de Netflix) lucharán por el premio. Beef triunfó en los globos de Oro, pero creo que aquí se van a decantar por el asesino en serie.
Actor y actriz de miniserie
Los dos protagonistas de Beef son los favoritos tras ganar el Globo de Oro. Pero no olvidemos la gran interpretación de Evan Peters como Dahmer. Voy a arriesgarme, Peters ganará como actor y Ali Wong como actriz por Beef.
Mejor serie dramática
La única que no he visto es Andor ( tampoco pienso verla). Las demás son excelentes. Varias son mis favoritas , pero no pueden compartir el premio ni repartirlo. Ya les dije que The Crown tendrá una oportunidad en la próxima edición , así que la descartamos. Bette Calle Saul , me encanta esa serie y le daría el premio , pero ya es lajana su partida. House of The Dragon y The Last Of Us van a estrenar segundas temporadas , así que volverán a batirse en duelo a finales de año. The White Lotus no superó su primera temporada. Yellowjackets tenía muchos giros y no me gustó el final de la segunda temporada. Así que la ganadora absoluta, porque cada episodio de la última temporada fue una bomba de emociones, es Succession. ¿Apostamos?
Las demás categorías quedan a tu elección. El próximo lunes es la ceremonia. A ver cuántas acierto. Los invito a ver los premios, esperando que pase algo divertido y no me duerma. Tengo que buscar las fechas de otros premios, quizás haga un post de cada uno y tengo que ver algunas películas españolas nominadas a los Goya.

Los Emmys son los premios de la tv americana. Veo bastantes series. jajaja pero igual me fala un montón pro ver, así que solo doy mis predicciones por mis favoritas que he visto.

Apoyo las actuaciones de Sucession porque de verdad fue una buena serie, The Last Of Us no la he visto, asi que no puedo opinar mucho, asi como la de Bear, tengo muchas series pendientes por ver, tengo que ponerme al día jeje, House of The Dragon también fue buena, todos estamos en espera de esta segunda temporada, en fin, no se puede negar, que hay series buenas, asi como actuaciones de primera, habrá que esperar quien se lo gano., por cierto ayer terminé de ver por completo la última temporada The Crown, estuvo bien, muchas cosas que mostraron, a su manera, solo ellos saben que fue cierto y que no, pero como tú, no creo que gane mucho, saludos.
Succession tuvo una temporada final excelente. Todo estuvo en un primer nivel. Una serie que termino de la mejor manera y cuando debía. HBO quería alargarla, menos mal el creador fue firme con su decisión de acabarla. las series deben terminar cuando estan en su mejor momento.
Pero ojo, The Crown tendrá otra oportunidad. En la entrega de premios del Lunes, cuanta es la temporada pasada recuerda que estos premios fueron postergados por la huelga de guionistas.
The Crown volverá a estar nominada en la siguiente edición por su ultima temporada y espero que Dibicki si gane, ay que los primeros cuatro episodios de la temporada final, fueron de Diana, el personaje que ella interpreta.

En lo personal pienso que este show de premio ya perdió su esencia pero vi algunos nombres que me parecieron interesantes y que espero que gane.
Todos estos premios perdieron la gracia, son aburridísimos, pero igual los veo, aunque ahora como estoy mas viejo, quizás el sueño me domine.😆
