My favorites at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards [En-Es]
Starting the year by offering my predictions for the awards season is already a ritual for me. I have to accentuate that more than predictions, they are actually my favorites to date, because there are movies and series that I have not yet seen.
Empezar el año ofreciendo mis predicciones para la temporada de premios es ya un ritual para mí. Tengo que acentuar que más que predicciones, en realidad son mis favoritos hasta la fecha, porque hay películas y series que aún no he visto.
This year I am very clear about my favorites and I am also sure that I will be disappointed when the Hollywood Foreign Press Association presents the awards at the ceremony to be held next Sunday, January 7.
Between expensive champagne and rich banquet, the Hollywood star system will parade down the red carpet of the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, with the usual spectacle. Fake smiles, hyper make-up, posing for photos, hypocritical greetings among many of them, perfume smell and Judas kisses among them all. That's real life!
The Golden Globes have gone through their worst moments and are doing everything they can to clean up their image. They have solved the problem of who is going to broadcast them, although there is still a group of actors and important people in Hollywood who are not interested in supporting these pre-Awards. All these ceremonies are boring, but as I said before, I find the Golden Globes the most entertaining and as a movie lover, I like to see Hollywood celebrities showing off on this show.
Este año tengo muy claros mis favoritos y también estoy seguro de que me llevaré un chasco cuando la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood entregue los premios en la ceremonia que se celebrará el próximo domingo 7 de enero.
Entre champán caro y banquete de ricos, el star system hollywoodiense desfilara por la alfombra roja del lujoso hotel Beverly Hills de Los Ángeles, con el espectáculo habitual. Sonrisas falsas, hipermaquillaje, posados para las fotos, saludos hipócritas entre muchas de ellas, olor a perfume y besos de Judas entre todas. ¡Así es la vida real!
Los Globos de Oro han pasado por sus peores momentos y están haciendo todo lo posible por limpiar su imagen. Han resuelto el problema de quién va a retransmitirlos, aunque todavía hay un grupo de actores y gente importante en Hollywood que no están interesados en apoyar estos pre-Premios. Todas estas ceremonias son aburridas, pero como he dicho antes, los Globos de Oro me parecen las más entretenidas y como amante del cine, me gusta ver a los famosos de Hollywood luciéndose en este show.
Best Television Drama Series
Powerful category. There are two heavyweights that said goodbye last year. Two incredible series and hard to pick one. They both deserve it. What's it going to take to give it to both of them? Difficult decision. Succession and The Crown: I love them both! They are my favorites. They had their final season. A closure to two great stories that captivated millions of viewers. If everything were fair, they should share the award. But only one will rise. I think Succession , being set in an American millionaire family and being from HBO , is the one that will take the prize. Plus its final season was a masterpiece in every episode. I don't think the others have a chance, but The Last to us could sneak in. what do you think?
Best Television Series Musical or Comedy
By splitting these categories into dramas and comedies, it gives the opportunity to nominate more series. I like this. I have two favorites here as well. The first is Barry, which I've already finished. Perfect closure to that story. It deserves to win it. The Bear is my other favorite, but this one will already have a third season, another chance to take it. I want them both to win, but I have a feeling the association will award it to the second season of The Bear. Which one will stand in the way? The rest are excellent installment sereis and deserving as well, Anyone could stand in the way. Keep an eye on Ted Lasso and Ony Murders in the Building, which one do you like?
Best limited television series, anthology series or television movie.
It's a close call. I haven't seen Chemistry Lessons yet. The others each have their strong points. I love the Fargo universe and I'm really liking this fifth season. It's still airing, but it doesn't quite reach the awesomeness of the earlier stories. There are two that stand out above the rest, the bitter Beef and the riveting drama Fellow Travelers. I have to pick one. I think because of the subject matter, it's Fellow Travelers that will take the Golden Globe. I haven't written my review yet, I recommend it.
Mejor serie dramática de televisión
Poderosa categoría. Hay dos pesos pesados que se despidieron el año pasado. Dos series increíbles y difícil elegir una. Las dos se lo merecen. ¿Qué hay que hacer para dárselo a las dos? Difícil decisión. Succession y The Crown: ¡las dos me encantan! Son mis favoritas. Tuvieron su temporada final. Un cierre a dos grandes historias que cautivaron a millones de espectadores. Si todo fuera justo, deberían compartir premio. Pero sólo una se alzará. Creo que Succession , al estar ambientada en una familia millonaria americana y ser de HBO , es la que se llevará el premio. Además su temporada final fue una obra maestra en cada episodio. No creo que las otras tengan posibilidades, pero The Last to us podría colarse. ¿qué opinas?
Mejor serie de televisión Musical o comedia
Al dividir estas categorías en dramas y comedias, da la oportunidad de nominar a más series. Esto me gusta. Aquí también tengo dos favoritas. La primera es Barry, que ya terminé. Un cierre perfecto para esa historia. Merece ganarlo. The Bear es mi otra favorita, pero esta ya tendrá una tercera temporada, otra oportunidad para llevárselo. Quiero que ganen las dos, pero tengo la sensación de que la asociación se lo otorgará a la segunda temporada de The Bear. ¿Cuál se interpondrá en el camino? El resto son sereis de excelente instalación y merecedoras también, Cualquiera podría interponerse. Ojo con Ted Lasso y Ony Murders in the Building. ¿Cuál te gusta?
Mejor serie limitada de televisión, serie antológica o película para televisión
Está reñido. Aún no he visto Lecciones de química. Las demás, cada una tiene su punto fuerte. Me encanta el universo Fargo y me está gustando mucho esta quinta temporada. Se sigue emitiendo, pero no llega a la genialidad de las primeras historias. Hay dos que destacan sobre el resto, la amarga Beef y el fascinante drama Fellow Travelers. Tengo que elegir una. Creo que por la temática, es Fellow Travelers la que se llevará el Globo de Oro. Aún no he escrito mi crítica, se laa recomiendo.
Best Actress in a TV Drama Series
Actresses of all ages, different generations competing for the award. I like it when I hesitate so much when it comes to choosing my favorite. That means the performances are excellent. The younger ones would probably like Bella Ramsey to win, but I'd put her last, she'll get another chance. My two favorites, and one of them should win, are Imelda Staunton for The Crown and Sarah Snook for Succession. Although in fairness, I'd give it to Snook. Staunton as the older Queen Elizabeth did an incrieble job, but in the last season her involvement was smaller. So the Press Association gives the award to Sarah Snook, dammit! But watch out, a veteran like Helen Mirren may snatch it away from her.
Best Actor in a TV Drama Series
I know most people want Pedrito Pascal to take it. But let's be realistic. There are three Succession actors in the same category and all three deserve it. Any of the three, Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin will satisfy me. There should be no discussion or surprise here. The winner will be Succession. Dominic West is convincing as Prince Charles, but there are three gladiators first. Do you think there will be any surprises in this category?
Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy TV Series
It's a repeat of the main category duel. The winner will be between Bill Hader and Jeremy Allen Whi-te (Barry and The Bear). At least for me, these are my favorites and the association awarded it to Jeremy. This is the one that has the best chance, do you agree?
Best actress comedy or musical tv series
Beautiful and talented. Each one stands out with her interpretation. There are several of my favorites, but if I had to choose one, it would be Ayo Edebiri for the evolution of her character in The Bear. I'm going to go out on a limb and bet 1 Hive on her, will you take the bet?
Best female performance in a limited series, anthology series or TV movie.
Battle of the Queens. Elizabeth Olsen and Brie Larson look like the favorites. Rachel Weisz lurks with her dual character in Dead Rings. What a looker Rachel is, she's getting older but she's looking hotter and hotter. I have healthy James Bond envy. Ali Wong and Riley Keough are the up-and-comers who could pull off the big surprise, what will the pair do? I have no idea. Anything can happen, but my favorite is Juno Temple. I don't think she'll win, but I'm still rooting for her because her character in Fargo is the best thing about this new story.
Best Male Performance in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Made-for-TV Movie
Not much to analyze. I want and hope the winner is Matt Bomer for Fellow Travelers. Nothing to add.
Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television.
There are three Successin actors in this category as well. I don't think there's anything to say. One of them will win it. Which one. For me there is no doubt it will be Matthew Macfadyen, do you think?
Best Supporting Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television.
Fuck. Meryl Streep can't be satisfied with all the awards she already has. I'll warn you right now that I only have one favorite in this category. If they don't give it to my favorite I'm going to be very angry and this agent association always arouses my fury. Elizabeth Debicki deserves every award for her portrayal of Diana of Wales in The Crown. Last year they didn't give it to her and this year the competition is strong and also Streetp snuck in. I'm bold. I bet 2 Hive and 1000 Spaco that Dibicki wins. do you accept or do you chicken out?

Actrices de todas las edades, diferentes generaciones compitiendo por el premio. Me gusta cuando dudo tanto a la hora de elegir a mi favorita. Eso significa que las interpretaciones son excelentes. No hay mucho que analizar. Quiero y espero que el ganador sea Matt Bomer por Compañeros de viaje. Nada que añadir.
Mejor interpretación de un actor masculino en un papel secundario en televisión
En esta categoría también hay tres actores de Successin. No creo que haya nada que decir. Uno de ellos lo ganará. Cual de ellos. Para mí no hay duda de que será Matthew Macfadyen. ¿Tú crees?
Mejor Interpretación Femenina de Reparto en Televisión.

A display of greatness in this category. I don't doubt they all deserve to have the award, but my favorite of all, no matter what, is Lily Gladstone. It's her moment. It's her year. We don't know if the doors will still be open after this. Already with my favorite in this category you can get an idea of which film I want to see win. I may not get it right, but since I'm feeling confident, I'm betting 5000 spades.
Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama
Yes, everyone is looking at Cillian Murphy. I love this actor and he does a teasing job getting into Oppenheimer's head. He's my second favorite, because I want another cosmic mismatch to happen that alters the fate of humanity and the award goes to Leo Di Caprio. The award goes to one of them, but watch out Bardley Cooper is close, even if Maestro is a flop. Which one would you like to see win?

I have no doubt. Robert Downey Jr. Our beloved Iron Man should be awarded. Oppenheimer's counter-figure. His character is a leech and his performance is fantastic.
Best Foreign Language Film.
I have yet to see several films in this category. But looking at the landscape, I think this award already has a name. The Niveveveve Society. Why? The story it deals with has a message of self-improvement and survival that is well received by the specialized critics. The specialized critics have received it well and it is also in my Spanish language. Juan Antonio Bayona, for this award.
Best Animated Film
Spiderma Across the Spider-verse will win. Do you doubt it? Tell me which one will win?
Best Film Musical or Comedy
Oh, my God. This category. I'm looking at other factors. The winner should be Barbie. I didn't like the movie, but there are a lot of factors in its favor. I have yet to see four other films in this category, my favorites would be Air and American Fiction. Although everything points to Barbie, there is something that makes me think that the partnership could go to Air. You'll find out why in the next category.
Film and Box Office Achievements
This is a new category added this year. More awards for more films. Highest grossing films. Barbie will undoubtedly win this award. If the partnership is bolder, they would give a tie to Barbie and Oppenheimer, thus continuing the successful duo whose marketing campaigns defined BarbieHeimer.
Best Motion Picture Drama.
I have yet to see three films. But I don't care. I only have one favorite here. If you know my tastes, you'll know that my absolute favorite is Killers of Flower Moon. The master Scorsese makes a monumental film. I feel sorry for Nolan, who I also like, but Scorsese has more range and at over eighty years old is still making masterpieces. Oppenheimer still has a chance, but KOFM is superior, isn't it?

No tengo ninguna duda. Robert Downey Jr. Nuestro querido Iron Man debería ser premiado. La contrafigura de Oppenheimer. Su personaje es una sanguijuela y su interpretación es fantástica.
Mejor película de habla no inglesa.
Aún tengo que ver varias películas en esta categoría. Pero mirando el panorama, creo que este premio ya tiene nombre. La Sociedad Niveveve. ¿Por qué? La historia que trata tiene un mensaje de superación y supervivencia que es bien recibido por la crítica especializada. La crítica especializada la ha recibido bien y además está en mi idioma español. Juan Antonio Bayona, a por ese premio.

Mejor película Musical o Comedia
Dios mío. Esta categoría. Estoy mirando otros factores. La ganadora debería ser Barbie. No me gustó la película, pero hay muchos factores a su favor. Todavía tengo que ver otras cuatro películas en esta categoría, mis favoritas serían Air y American Fiction. Aunque todo apunta a Barbie, hay algo que me hace pensar que la asociación podría ir para Air. Encontrarás la razón en la siguiente categoría.
Logros cinematográficos y de taquilla
Se trata de una nueva categoría añadida este año. Más premios para más películas. Las más taquilleras. Barbie ganará sin duda este premio. Si la asociación es más atrevida, darían un empate a Barbie y Oppenheimer, y así continuarían con el exitoso dúo cuyas campañas de marketing definieron como el BarbieHeimer.
Mejor película dramática.
Aún tengo que ver tres películas. Pero no me importa. Aquí sólo tengo una favorita. Si conocen mis gustos, sabrán que mi favorita absoluta es Killers of Flower Moon. El maestro Scorsese hace una película monumental. Lo siento por Nolan, que también me gusta, pero Scorsese tiene más rango y a sus más de ochenta años sigue haciendo obras maestras. Oppenheimer aún tiene posibilidades, pero KOFM es superior, ¿no?
The date is next Sunday. Paramount Plus is going to air it. I don't know if TNT will. You have to do your own research depending on your geographic location and available streaming services so you can figure out where to watch it.

Saludos amigos, unos premios muy esperados para todos los fanáticos y por supuesto para todo esos actores que están participando, los premisos del año pasado no fueron nada bueno y esperemos que estos hagan un gran trabajo y puede ser sonados. Cada una de las categorías esta bastante fuerte y se puede notar buena competencia, como otras que están seguras y serán muy bien merecidas. Por supuesto que la película de Spiderman se lo lleva, además Barbie como la película y la actriz van a salir llenos de premios y a pesar de todo lo que hablaron de la producción se logró meter allí en la jugada. Me gustaría que Oppenheimer, al menos, se lleve algo, puesto que esas dos horas de producción son increíble. Ahora queda espera la noche con una buena copa de champan.

A mí me faltan muchas película dramáticas por ver. Pero estoy de acuerdo en la mayoría de tus decisiones, sobretodo en lo que tiene que ver con las dos titánicas series que son The Crown o Succession. Cualquiera que gane estará genial, y te segundo en el tema de que Debicki como Diana, DEBE ganar. Me falta hacer la reseña de The Crown (y un montón más que están en espera). De acuerdisimo con la mejor animación, no hay más nada que decir, no tienen para donde agarrar. Vamos a ver qué pasa.

Apuesto 5 millones de creditos de la Republica a que Gana Cilian Murphy y Oppenheimer porque Killer of Flower Moon aun no la he visto ajjaja, tengo que cuadrar con pannavi @pannavi para verla porque veo la emoción en tus letras por la de Scorsese plus el hecho de que vas en contra de lo que pensé era algo seguro para Cilian and Oppenheimer, respondere a tu pregunta "No?" cuando la vea :D

Vea Killers of Flower Moon para un debate. Aunque creo que no te va a gustar.
Oppenheimer es grandiosa, muy buena, pero entre las dos prefiero Killers. Scorsese es Scorsese. Y Oppenheimer me gusto pero no es lo mejor de Nolan.
Succession es una serie de gente rica asquerosa y despreciable, pero adictiva. Su ultima temporada fue increíble en cada episodio.
Podes creer que aún no vi Oppenheimer, pero es la que más me interesa. No ha sido un año en que haga visto muchas películas y series. Confiaré en tu criterio que es muy bueno y sabes demasiado la respecto.

Yo soy más afín a la categoría de películas animadas, y sí, yo creo que tiene que llevarse el premio Across the Spider-verse, si no se la lleva no sé cuál podría ser, tal vez Suzume o la de Hayao Miyazaki, sinceramente no quisiera que ganara alguna de Disney porque Elementos no le llega a las otras y Wish es decepcionante... Barbie aunque fue un asco de película para muchos estoy segura de que va a arrasar en las categorías que está nominada. En cuanto a la disputa entre Emily Blunt y Jodie Foster, yo me inclino más hacia Jodie, pero sólo por el nombre Oppenheimer sé que Emily es la que va a relucir. En las demás no sé porque no las he visto, esa serie de The Bear no me llama la atención pero me la han recomendado mucho. En cuanto a la de Fargo si me gustaría ver esa. Excelente post, vamos a ver quién gana.
En la categoría donde estan Blunt y Foster hay otras actrices que por sus características y todo el ambiente progre de hoy día, tienen posibilidades de ganar.
Barbie no me gusto pero se llevara algunos premios y ese de mejor taquilla creo que lo tiene asegurado. Misión imposible tendría posibilidad si Cruise no estuviese peleado con la asociación de prensa extranjera y los globos de oro.

Fargo te recomiendo verla desde la primera temporada. Aunque son historias independientes, Hay pequeños detalles que las conectan y se disfruta mejor viendo cada temporada en su orden.

Lo siento pero lo tengo que decir, lo que mas me gusta de tus publicaciones es la pasión con la que hablas de las películas, eso se nota a simple vista. Por esa razón te vuelvo a felicitar por tu excelente trabajo lleno de calidad y originalidad en la plataforma. Está muy bien merecido ese premio. Y bueno tranquilo que veré las dos pero igual voy a echarle un ojo a tu reseña a ver qué tal es la serie y así me entero de qué trata.

Coincidimos en varios de los favoritos. Tengo pendiente ver Barry, no sé porque le he dado tantas largas. Por otro lado, creo The Crown brillará en los premios.
Quiero que gane The Crown , pero también esta Succession. Reñido esto. Creo que van a preferir Succession.
Bueno mira, Oppenheimer no la he visto, que te puedo decir jaja así que lo que pase con ella no tengo idea, (Debería de verla, lo se). Pero viendo lo visto creo que Murphy lo lleva seguro. Cuidado con Barbie, esa película creo que será la gallo tapado jaja no quiero pensar que lo hagan por la conversación de siempre pero cuidado, sin desmeritar que la película es buena buena.
The Crown va a arrasar. Quisiera que The Bear se llevara algo, es muy top para que se pase lisa. Y poco más. Veremos qué pasa.
A mi no me gusto Barbie y no quise hacer post, pero se llevara varios premios. Hasta puede dar sorpresas. jajaja

A mí también me emociona la temporada de premios, pero en los Golde Globes voy a medias porque no veo series, así que sólo me concentro en las películas. Me faltan muchas por ver que seguramente estarán nominadas. Coincido con lo de Robert Downey Jr, Emily Blunt y lo de Lily Gladstone. En lo del actor, quiero ver lo de Bardley Cooper (que ha sido nominado varias veces antes), pero mi favorito so far es Murphy. Y en cuanto a lo de la película, estoy entres esas dos, KOFM es una joya, pero Oppenheimer también me maraviló, así que tendremos que esperar a ver.
