[En/Es] Rango - The legend that never existed before || La leyenda que nunca antes existió

I had wanted to revisit one of my favorite animated movies, as well as many others that I have already talked about and others that I haven't, however, this weekend I took the time to watch and analyze Rango after a long time without seeing it, so today I want to talk about this great movie and its factors that make it one of the best animated movies of the decade or even of the history.
I want to start talking about my past experience watching this movie, being just a kid, I saw this movie multiple times as a kid and the truth was that I saw it as a very funny animated movie and full of action of course, something I did not see in other animations of the time and the truth was something that I found very characteristic in it, as well as its great visual section but I will talk about that later. I would not think that I would see this movie from another point of view, I had seen a couple of reviews that highlighted this about the movie but at least in my own experience as a viewer I had not come to see this movie with that intention, that is why I decided to take a look this weekend to capture everything I could not see as a child, it was a great decision.
We are initially introduced to a rather animated lizard who plays at being something like a theater actor with his "friends" (who are really just toys), he worries about his purpose in life even though he doesn't think much of it since he has everything he needs to make his own story. Yes, this is only an initial moment of the film of less than 5 minutes and it is perfectly clear which is the problem of the film, a lizard with existential problems that would only be the beginning of everything. His life would take an unexpected turn when we realize that he is living in a fish tank with his owners in a car that was apparently on a trip, a sudden movement would make the lizard's fish tank fly out and break, leaving the lizard in the middle of the desert road, all alone.
It is clear that this would be of great impact for the lizard, because the only thing he had in his life were his friends inside that fish tank and now that all this is over, he tries to reach a populated place to at least start over, just imagine hahaha having nothing and still lose everything. The lizard would undertake a journey through the desert in search of a populated place, to which he arrives with the help of Beans, another lizard with a peculiar accent and personality. This moment is quite special, it is the introduction of another important character in the story of course but despite this we still don't get a real introduction of who the main character is, we clearly know that it is the lizard but even when Beans tries to ask him who he is and where he comes from, he just doesn't know what to answer and only talks about what he liked to do when he was in his fish tank.
Let it be clear the situation of the existential crisis of this lizard, which suddenly will be "solved" when in the cantina of the town is presented to everyone as the murderer of the 7 Jenkins brothers, a hidden legend that finally appears from the old west that is not afraid of anything, he would be called Rango and everyone would treat him with respect and fear. I love the introduction to who the lizard really is, obviously Rango would be a character invented by himself just to be able to stay in town. Rango would gradually get the respect of the people with his actions that make him become the sheriff, and from here opens the adventure of this film, which in itself with the initial plot was already making a great movie, with the adventure that is presented to us becomes a masterpiece.
As such, the denouement of the film begins with the town's problems with water, water is becoming increasingly scarce and the reserves would only last for days even when saving more. It is sheriff Rango's moment to solve this situation with the mayor's order to investigate this case, more so when the bank's water reserve is stolen in the early morning, which makes the bravest villagers undertake a journey through the desert in search of the thieves and the water reserve. The film makes its own thriller within the plot, it turns out that the water problem goes beyond a simple shortage, there is someone who controls the water and still do not really know how that happens and that is precisely the disappointment of the characters who started this journey in search of the scarce resource, therefore end up getting angry with Rango and happens the climax of the film. What the villagers would least imagine would be the return of Jake, a rattlesnake that basically killed all the sheriff of the town, this time he would threaten Rango to tell the truth, that in reality he has been lying all that time and he was absolutely nobody. It is obvious what happened, Rango accepts that he is nobody, he goes into a kind of immense depression thinking that this could never happen, he had forgotten that he was nobody and was already starting to write his own story from nothing, with this in mind he leaves town finally to get lost in the wilderness again.
The scene that would follow this would be the final message but not the end of the movie itself, the scene is simply epic and I think you should see it for yourself, Rango's situation remarkably is that once again he would have lost everything and would be nobody again, however, an unexpected encounter would make him reflect and change his mind. The lizard had already become a legend under the name of Rango, that what happened to him did not mark an end for him, he had proclaimed himself as a legend, as a hero and no man can escape his own history, just as heroes always come back and not for their own sake, but for the sake of those he is going to save. It is simply sensational the sense that the film takes for this moment, Rango writes his own story as a good screenwriter and in full existential crisis he simply finds that all this time, in all the stories that he invented himself in his fishbowl he was the hero, finally he would find that this is really who he is and he does not necessarily need a name to know who he is, when already with his actions he discovers that all this time he was forging a hero.
Obviously the movie wouldn't end there, but this is the moment to recommend you to watch the movie and enjoy this story better because it is absolutely great. There are so many things I love about this movie besides its main plot, it is just an animated movie but it is presented excellently in every way. One of those things is as always the scenarios of the movie, they are very close to westerns and represent very well a desert place, dry and throughout the plot is very supported by the action scenes and tension with great well thought out shots, it is the perfect example that animated movies can also be at the level of other Hollywood movies. And I am not even talking about the soundtrack, it is simply sensational the work of this film and how could it not be if it was made by none other than Hans Zimmer, it is really immersed in the plot and is perfect in many of the scenes of the film, what can I say, the section of the scenarios and environments is very well crafted and adapted to the film.

And now that I think about it, I had not talked about the character design in this movie, suffice it to say that ALL the characters play a fundamental role in the plot, they keep pretty good dialogues being on screen and their visual aspects are perfectly adapted to the image that these characters give. There are too many characters that fulfill this, the movie itself is an example of this and the truth is that I love how all this was executed so that the actors who gave the voice to the characters could really feel the character, I saw over there that the scenes were not recorded in a booth as usual, but directly on the set along with all the characters that would appear in the scenes that each one had to appear, basically it would be live acting to get that recording. It's great.
How I love this movie, you can't tell by how much I talk about its plot and after watching it over the weekend it has become very clear to me that it is one of the best animated movies I have ever seen and of course it is in the top positions of being my favorite, even competing with Ratatouille which I have always loved, ahhh it is simply phenomenal to talk so much about this movie, how I love it. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this review of this movie, I really recommend this movie to everyone, simply anyone can enjoy this movie and if you are going to watch it, enjoy it with a glass of water on the side because most likely you will get thirsty watching the movie HAHAHAHA. Me habian pegado muchas ganas de revisitar una de mis peliculas animadas favoritas, asi como muchas otras de las cuales ya he hablado y otras a las que no, sin embargo, el fin de semana me di el tiempo de ver y analizar Rango luego de muchisimo tiempo sin verla, es por ende que el dia de hoy quiero hablar sobre esta grandiosa pelicula y de sus factores que hacen de la misma una de las mejores peliculas animadas de la decada o incluso de la historia.
Quiero hablar para iniciar acerca de mi experiencia pasada viendo esta película, siendo apenas un niño, esta película la vi múltiples veces siendo niño y la verdad la veía como una película animada muy chistosa y llena de acción por supuesto, algo que no veía en otras animaciones de la época y la verdad fue algo que encentro muy característico en ella, al igual que su grandioso apartado visual pero de eso hablare luego. Yo no pensaría que vería esta película desde otro punto de vista, si había visto un par de reseñas que resaltaban esto de la película pero por lo menos en mi propia experiencia como espectador no había llegado a ver esta película con esa intención, es por ende que decidí echar un vistazo este fin de semana para captar todo lo que no pude ver siendo un niño, vaya que fue una grandiosa decisión.
Hablemos principalmente de la historia. Se nos presenta inicialmente a una lagartija bastante animada que suele jugar a ser algo así como a ser actor de teatro con sus "amigos" (que en realidad son solo juguetes), el mismo se llega a preocupar acerca de su propósito en su vida a pesar de que no le toma tanta importancia ya que en su entorno tiene todo lo necesario para hacer su propia historia. Si, esto se trata de tan solo un momento inicial de la película de menos de 5 minutos y se nota perfectamente cual es la problemática de la película, una lagartija con problemas existenciales que tan solo serian el inicio de todo. Su vida daría un giro inesperado cuando nos damos cuenta que el esta viviendo en una pecera junto con sus dueños en un auto que iba aparentemente de viaje, un movimiento brusco haría que la pecera de la lagartija saliera volando y se rompiera, dejando a la lagartija en medio de la carretera del desierto, completamente solo.
Queda claro que esto seria de gran impacto para la lagartija, pues de por si lo único que tenia en su vida eran sus amigos dentro de esa pecera y ahora que todo esto se acabo, intenta llegar a un lugar poblado para al menos volver a comenzar, tan solo imagínate jajaja no tener nada y aun así perder todo. La lagartija emprendería un viaje por el desierto en busca de un lugar poblado, al cual llega con ayuda de Beans, otra lagartija de acento y personalidad peculiar. Este momento es bastante especial, es la introducción de otro personaje importante en la historia claro esta pero a pesar de esto aun no se nos hace una real presentación de quien es el personaje principal, sabemos claramente que se trata de la lagartija pero incluso cuando Beans intenta preguntarle quien es y de de donde viene, el simplemente no sabe que responder y solo habla acerca de lo que le gustaba hacer cuando estaba en su pecera.
Que quede claro la situación de la crisis existencial de esta lagartija, que de pronto se vera "solucionada" cuando en la cantina del poblado se presenta ante todos como el asesino de los 7 hermanos Jenkins, una leyenda oculta que por fin aparece del viejo oeste que no teme a nada, se haría llamar Rango y todos le tratarían con respeto y temor. Me encanta como se hace introducción a quien es realmente la lagartija, obviamente Rango seria un personaje inventado por el mismo solo con tal de poder seguir en el pueblo. Rango poco a poco conseguiría el respeto del pueblo con sus acciones que lo hacen volverse el sheriff, ya de aquí se abre la aventura de esta película, que de por si con la trama inicial ya se iba haciendo una gran película, con la aventura que se nos presenta se vuelve un peliculon.
Como tal, el desenlace de la película empieza con los problemas del pueblo con el agua, el agua es cada vez mas escasa y las reservas solo durarían días incluso cuando se ahorre mas. Es este el momento del sheriff Rango para resolver esta situación con la orden del alcalde de investigar ese caso, mas aun cuando la reserva de agua del banco es robada en la madrugada, lo cual hace que los pueblerinos mas valientes emprendan un viaje por el desierto en busca de los ladrones y la reserva de agua. El filme hace su propio thriller dentro de la trama, resulta ser que el problema del agua va mas allá de una simple escases, hay alguien que controla el agua y aun no se sabe realmente como es que pasa eso y precisamente esa es la decepción de los personajes que empezaron ese viaje en busca del recurso escaso, por ende terminan enfadándose con Rango y pasa el momento cumbre de la película. Lo que menos imaginarían los pueblerinos seria el retorno de Jake, una serpiente cascabel que básicamente acababa con todo los sheriff del pueblo, en esta ocasión amenazaría a Rango con que diga la verdad, que en realidad ha estado mintiendo todo ese tiempo y no era absolutamente nadie. Es obvio lo que paso, Rango acepta que no es nadie, entra en una clase de depresión inmensa pensando que eso nunca podría llegar a pasar, había olvidado que no era nadie y ya estaba empezando a escribir su propia historia desde nada, con esto en mente el se va del pueblo finalmente a perderse en el desierto otra vez.
La escena que seguiría a esto seria el mensaje final pero no el final de la película en si, la escena es sencillamente épica y creo que la deberían ver ustedes mismos, la situación de Rango notablemente es que una vez mas el habría perdido todo y no seria nadie otra vez, sin embargo, un encuentro inesperado lo haría reflexionar y cambiar de opinión. La lagartija ya se habría hecho una leyenda bajo el nombre de Rango, que le haya pasado lo que le paso no marcaba un final para el, el se había proclamado a si mismo como una leyenda, como un héroe y ningún hombre puede escapar de su propia historia, así como los héroes que siempre vuelven y no por su propio bien, sino de quienes el va a salvar. Es sencillamente sensacional el sentido que cobra la película para este momento, Rango escribe su propia historia como buen guionista que es y en plena crisis existencial el sencillamente encuentra que todo este tiempo, en todas las historias que el mismo se inventaba en su pecera el era el héroe, finalmente encontraría que eso es en realidad lo que es el y no necesariamente necesita un nombre para saber quien es el, cuando ya con sus acciones el descubre que todo este tiempo estaba forjando a un héroe.
Obviamente la película no terminaría allí, solo que este es el momento para recomendarles que vean la película y disfrutar mejor de esta historia ya que es totalmente buenísima. Hay muchísimas cosas que amo de esta película aparte de su trama principal, es tan solo una película animada pero se presenta excelentemente en todo sentido. Una de esas cosas es como siempre los escenarios de la película, son muy cercanos a los westerns y representan muy bien a un lugar desértico, seco y a lo largo de la trama va muy apoyado de las escenas de acción y tensión con grandiosos planos bien pensados, es el perfecto ejemplo de que las películas animadas también pueden estar al nivel de otras películas de Hollywood. Y eso que aun no hablo de su soundtrack, es sencillamente sensacional el trabajo de esta película y como no lo va a ser si lo hizo nada mas y nada menos que Hans Zimmer, es realmente inmerso a la trama y es perfecto en muchas de las escenas de la película, que les puedo decir, el apartado de los escenarios y ambientes esta muy bien elaborado y adaptado a la película.

Y ahora que lo pienso, no habia hablado del diseño de personajes en esta pelicula, basta decir que TODOS los personajes cumplen un rol fundamental en la trama, mantienen dialogos bastante buenos estando en pantalla y sus aspectos visuales se adaptan perfectamente a la imagen que dan estos personajes. Hay demasiados personajes que cumplen con esto, la pelicula en si es ejemplo de ello y la verdad es que me encanta como se ejecuto todo esto para que los actores que dieron la voz a los personajes pudieran realmente sentir al personaje, vi por alli que las escenas no las grababan en una cabina como suele ser de costumbre, sino directamente en el set junto con todos los personajes que aparecerian en las escenas que le tocaba a cada quien aparecer, basicamente se trataria de actuar en vivo para obtener esa grabacion. Es grandioso.
Como amo esta película, que no se note con lo mucho que hable acerca de su trama y luego de verla el fin de semana me ha quedado clarisimo que es una de las mejores película animadas que yo he visto y por supuesto esta en las primeras posiciones de ser mi favorita, incluso compitiendo con Ratatouille a la cual le tengo un cariño interminable desde siempre, ahhh es sencillamente fenomenal hablar con todas ganas acerca de esta película, como me encanta. Muchas gracias por darse el tiempo de leer este analisis/review de esta película, de verdad recomiendo esta película a todos, sencillamente cualquiera puede disfrutar bastante de esta película y si la van a ver, disfrútenla con un vaso de agua a un lado porque lo mas seguro es que les dará sed ver la película JAJAJA. La verdad es que es una animación bastante buena, además de la historia y buenos personajes, me agrada el toque western y la manera en que funciona ese mundo, es una película estupenda mientras no se sufra mucho viendo a esos animales animados algunos de forma algo grotesca jajaja.

De mis películas animadas favoritas, cuando la vi recién salió no me atrapo mucho, no se si porque era muy niño, pero lo que se es que años después la vi y me encanto, porque aunque es una película animada es cool que no esté enfocada 100% a un público infantil.

Recuerdo la primera vez que ví la película, lo mucho que me divertí con este pequeño reptil, que es todo un personaje, pintoresco y gracioso que a todos nos divierte con sus ocurrencias. Una peli digna de volver a ver sin dudas, muy buena reseña sobre el filme animado.
