This weekend the whole internet has been talking and of course making memes about a new movie based on video games, which I think everyone already knows what it is, but I certainly have a lot to say about this movie and unlike many opinions and reviews about movies based on video games, are very positive things I have to say about this movie. I am looking forward to welcome you to this new Five Nights at Freddy's Review.
Mike, a security guard with a history of failures looking for a good reputation to keep custody of his little sister, is given the opportunity to work as a night guard at an abandoned animatronic-themed pizzeria. Only a series of events over the course of several nights would be the clues for Mike to uncover the biggest mystery of his life.
At the beginning of the movie I didn't know what to expect knowing the bad reviews it received from the experts, in fact, at the beginning there were few things that had to do with the video game but little by little the story was being built and it was totally adapted to the real plot of the game. There were lots and lots of references to the video games and I loved that, as well as many who were in the same cinema room as me, I saw many who I could tell were fans of the video games and I can imagine that they had been able to the same time as me waiting for the release of this movie (since 2015 I think). So the hype from the first moments, even when the credits of the producers of the film came out was noticeable in the room.
As such the film focuses on the life of Mike, in this case the guard indicated for the five nights, as expected the events occur within those five nights but unlike the video games, the plot also has its daytime part and it is about the solution of those events in the place, this stage of the film seems to me indispensable for the plot, of great importance and also very well done in many ways, the cast plays its role very well and situations of the protagonists are well represented, they have their own background and outcome within the film which makes the development of the same is effective ... Something slow at the beginning of course, mainly to know well what it's all about, that's something I like because it makes that both fans of video games and non-fans can enjoy and understand it.
For me the best thing was the ending, it was the best outcome they could give to the movie, which in itself was already very close to the plot of the game, the ending was great, I would not want to say much about this movie because it is really better when everyone enjoys it on their own. In my personal opinion, the movie was very good, well structured and every fan will enjoy it without a doubt, even me, even though I have been waiting for the movie for a long time, I don't have the total knowledge of the lore as another fan may have, even so I was filled with hype and I was satisfied with all the references I understood (because yes, there are many).
If I were asked for a word to describe both the movie and the moment I saw it, I would say fascinating, even though I wouldn't treat it as a horror movie, it has a lot of suspense in its scenes and you wouldn't know what to expect next. I say goodbye for today but without first saying thank you very much for visiting this Review taking advantage of making it Halloween special hehe. Este fin de semana el internet entero se ha puesto a hablar y por supuesto a sacar memes acerca de una nueva película basada en videojuegos, la cual ya creo que todo el mundo sabe cuál es, pero sin duda tengo bastante que decir de esta película y a diferencia de muchas opiniones y reviews acerca de películas basadas en videojuegos, son cosas muy positivas las que debo decir sobre esta película. Con muchas ansias les doy la bienvenida a esta nueva Review acerca de Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Mike, un guardia de seguridad con un historial de fracasos en busca de buena reputación para quedarse la custodia de su hermanita, tiene la oportunidad de trabajar como guardia nocturno en una pizzería abandonada con temática de animatronicos. Solo que una serie de eventos a lo largo de varias noches serian las pistas para Mike de descubrir la mayor incógnita de su vida.
Al inicio de la película no sabía que esperar sabiendo la mala crítica que recibió por los expertos, de hecho, al principio eran pocas cosas las que tenían que ver con el videojuego pero poco a poco se iba construyendo más la historia y se adaptó totalmente a la trama verdadera del juego. Habían muchísimas referencias a los videojuegos y eso me encantó, así como a muchos que estaban en la misma sala del cine que yo, vi a muchos que se notaban que eran fans de los videojuegos y puedo imaginar que llevaban capaz el mismo tiempo que yo esperando a la salida de esta película (desde 2015 creo yo). Así que el hype desde los primeros momentos, incluso cuando salieron los créditos de las productoras de la película era notable en la sala.
Como tal la película se centra en la vida de Mike, en este caso el guardia indicado para las cinco noches, como es de esperarse llegan los sucesos dentro de esas cinco noches pero a diferencia de los videojuegos, la trama también tiene su parte diurna y se trata de la solución de esos eventos en el lugar, esta etapa de la película me parece indispensable para la trama, de gran importancia y aparte muy bien hecha en muchos sentidos, el elenco cumple su rol muy bien y situaciones de los protagonistas son bien representadas, ellos tienen su propio trasfondo y desenlace dentro de la película lo cual hace que el desarrollo de la misma sea eficaz… Algo lenta al principio claro, principalmente para conocer bien de que va todo esto, eso es algo que me gusta ya que hace que tanto los fans de los videojuegos como los no-fans puedan disfrutarla y entenderla.
Para mi lo mejor fue el final, fue el mejor desenlace que pudieron dar a la película, que de por si ya estaba muy cercana a la trama del juego, el final fue buenísimo, no quisiera decir mucho acerca de esta película porque realmente es mejor cuando cada quien la disfruta por su parte. En mi opinión más personal, la película fue muy buena, bien estructurada y todo fan disfrutará sin duda, incluso yo, que a pesar que tengo ya mucho tiempo esperando a la película, no tengo el total conocimiento del lore como otro fan lo puede tener, aún así me llenó de hype la película y me dejó satisfecho con todas las referencias que entendí (porque sí, hay muchas).
Si me pidieran una palabra para describir tanto la película como el momento en el que la ví, diría fascinante, a pesar de que no la trataría como una película totalmente de terror o horror, tiene mucho suspenso en sus escenas y no sabrías que esperar después. Me despido por el día de hoy pero sin antes decir que muchas gracias por haber visitado esta Review aprovechando de hacerlo especial de Halloween jeje.
