The Gene of AI (AI no Idenshi) | Where can we find the soul?

I started watching Electric Dreams and AI no Idenshi at the same time and I feel that the mental preconceptions I had of both changed, for a moment I thought that Electric Dreams was the one who was going to leave me with existential crises, and AI no Idenshi was going to give me funny stories to watch and have a good time, but no, it was the other way around, with AI no Idenshi I could only see almost in shock everything that was happening, and with Electric Dreams I was laughing criticizing what was happening, I had never been so wrong when judging two series, although in reality the only thing they have in common is that they are futuristic stories they present us, otherwise, they are not the same at all.

The Gene of AI takes place in a futuristic world not too far away where humanoids, which we could say that they are human androids created with AI, are 10% of the world population, in addition, there is an AI that in some way rules the world, although there is a committee that controls that AI, but I'm not going to talk about that here. Our protagonist is going to be Sudô Hikaru, a doctor who treats both humans, and humaniods, but there are those who can not pay or do not want a record of their treatment, so they resort to Sudo on the black market and there they know him as Moggadeet, so through the twelve chapters of this anime we will see many stories that deal with issues about the adoption of a world where the AI is everywhere; how humans adapt to humanoids, and vice versa; stories that will make us question if only humans have souls, and where is that soul to be found, in case humanoids also have one.

Electric Dreams y AI no Idenshi los comencé a ver al mismo tiempo y siento que los preconceptos mentales que tenía de ambos se cambiaron, por un momento pensé que Electric Dreams era quien me iba a dejar con crisis existenciales, y AI no Idenshi me iba a dar historias divertidas para ver y pasarla bien, pero no, fue al reves, con AI no Idenshi solo podía ver casi en shock todo lo que estaba sucediendo, y con Electric Dreams me la pasaba riéndo criticando lo que estaba pasando, nunca me había equivocado tanto al juzgar dos series, aunque en realidad lo único que tienen en común es que son historias futuristas las que nos presentan, de resto, no son iguales en nada.

The Gene of AI tiene lugar en un mundo futurista no muy lejano donde los humanoides, que podríamos decir que son androides humanos creados con AI, son el 10% de la población mundial, además, hay una AI que en cierta forma rige el mundo, aunque existe un comité que controla a esa AI, pero de eso no voy a hablar aquí. Nuestro protagonista va a ser Sudô Hikaru, un doctor que trata tanto a humanos, como a humaniodes, pero hay quienes no pueden pagar o no quieren que quede un registro de su tratamiento, así que recurren a Sudo en el mercado negro y ahí lo conocen como Moggadeet, así que a través de los doce capítulos de este anime veremos muchas historias que tratan temas sobre la adopción de un mundo donde la AI está en todos lados; cómo los humanos se adaptan a los humanoides, y viceversa; historias que nos harán cuestionar si solo los humanos tienen alma, y dónde es que se encuentra dicha alma, en caso de que los humanoides también la tengan.

This is an anime that surprised me in a good and bad way, it's weird, because the stories are very interesting, but I don't know if it was the animation or what, but I felt that something was missing, it was almost always very robotic, very cold, but the story was not, as if they had not managed to fit things well when they created it, or maybe it was that I was dissociating a lot while watching it and that's why I failed to connect with the anime, it is also a possibility, which is quite possible that it is the right one.

Leaving aside that coolness that possibly doesn't even exist, the series is amazing, all the stories are situations that in a way are already happening nowadays, not in such developed ways, but they do exist, as an example, there is a story that follows a girl who has a boyfriend created with AI specially designed to like her, and there comes a point when she leaves him, then later she wants him back, but she does not know whether to buy him back or not, because although he is designed with AI and does not have in his configuration to feel resentment or hate, they do have another range of feelings, and they are constantly evolving, and he left her with an existential crisis; and that is a situation that many people live today, where they get to develop feelings for people created with AI, with AI chats, and more, then, far from reality is not the series.

Este es un anime que me sorprendió de buena y mala manera, es raro, porque las historias son muy interesantes, pero no sé si fue la animación o qué, pero sentí que le faltaba algo, casi siempre era muy robótico, muy frío, pero la historia no lo era, como si no hubieran logrado encajar las cosas bien cuando lo crearon, o quizás era que yo estuve disociándome mucho mientras la veía y por eso no logré conectar con el anime, también es una posibilidad, que es muy posible que sea la correcta.

Dejando de lado esa frialdad que posiblemente ni siquiera exista, la serie es increíble, todas las historias son situaciones que de cierta forma ya se están presentando actualmente, no de formas tan desarrolladas, pero que sí existen, como ejemplo, hay una historia que sigue a una chica que tiene a un novio creado con AI diseñado especialmente para gustarle, y llega un punto en que ella lo deja, entonces después lo quiere de vuelta, pero no sabe si volver a comprarlo o no, porque aunque esté diseñado con AI y no tenga en su configuración sentir rencor u odio, sí tienen otro rango de sentimientos, y están en constante evolución, y la dejó a ella con una crisis existencial; y esa es una situación que vive mucha gente hoy en día, donde llegan a desarrollar sentimientos por personas creadas con AI, con chats de AI, y más, entonces, lejos de la realidad no está la serie.

Although they are separate stories that are presented to us in the series, all of them will have some relationship with Sudô, and in turn, Sudô will have his own story, which we will see very little, almost only at the end, because his mother is in jail, for a crime he committed without knowing, so there is a whole story behind that we have to discover when Sudô feels like telling it to us completely.

My favorite story was one that includes a stuffed animal with AI that is created to keep children company and I can tell you that it made me cry, the end of that story was a lot with too much and I had no preparation for what they were going to show me, it was something very, very beautiful.

Si bien son historias separadas las que nos presentan en la serie, todas van a tener cierta relación con Sudô, y a su vez, Sudô va a tener su propia historia, que vamos a ver muy poco, casi solo al final, pues su madre está en la carcel, por un crimen que cometió sin saber, entonces hay toda una historia detrás que tenemos que descubir cuando a Sudô le de la gana de contárnosla por completo.

Mi historia favorita fue una que incluye a un peluche con AI que es creado para hacerle compañía a los niños y les puedo decir que me hizo llorar, el final de esa historia fue mucho con demasiado y no tenía ningún tipo de preparación para lo que me iban a mostrar, fue algo muy, pero muy hermoso.

Una de mis cosas favoritos fue la creación de los humanoides, que si bien son robots creados con AI, en su programación son humanos de verdad, pues si bien podrían tener muchísimas ventajas físicas y mentales, en cuanto a su desarrollo físico y con sus habilidades mentales para el conocimiento, es imposible que suceda, tienen que estudiar igual que humanos, hacer ejercicios igual que humanos, e incluso envejecen igual que humanos, todo eso está en su código y se hace realidad, así que, ¿no son ya humanos? Todo esto nos da pie a la discusión de que si ellos tienen alma o no, y que si tienen, ¿dónde está?, porque prácticamente a una persona se le puede copiar, se le copia el cerebro, cosa que es ilegal, y con esa copia se crea a una misma persona dos veces, pero en realidad llegan a ser diferentes por las diferentes experiencias de vida y demás, y terminan siendo dos personas diferentes, aunque son la misma, y aquí surge la pregunta, ¿la copia tiene alma, dónde está esa alma?
