Hello to all the movie lovers of Movies & tv shows, maybe by now you are sick of reading reviews of this movie, but this is more of an analysis and reaction than just throwing hate just because.

Let's jump right into the plot of the movie.
At the beginning we are introduced to our protagonist Asha narrating the origin of the island and well honestly it felt quite rushed, ie, tells us that a villager x, they destroyed the village as a child, he studied magic and 3 doritos later he was already a magician "hastag genie grants wishes" because if, without giving us more light on its origin.

The wizard already with the power to grant wishes because he goes to an island and create a city around it, the emigrants who go to the island (obviously they go with the purpose of having their personal wish granted), but they must become citizens of the island and (give their wish to the wizard), making the user forget his wish...and the wizard will have 1 day a year to grant 1 wish at random from the citizens of the place.

In this aspect clearly my first reaction is why does the wizard want people's wishes, why only 1 wish per year, what's the point of it all if he is a wizard "hastag genie of the lamp I could do it more times in a row"...so I just continued watching the film to digest the thematic.

Hola muy buenas a todos los amantes del cine de Movies & tv shows, puede que a estas alturas ya estan mamados de leer reseñas de esta película, pero mas que todo es un análisis y reaccion que solo tirar odio por que si.

Pasemos de plano a la trama de la película.
Al inicio nos presentan a nuestra protagonista Asha narrando el origen de la isla y pues sinceramente se sintio bastante apresurado, es decir, nos narra que a un aldeanos x, le destrozaron el pueblo de niño, este estudio magia y 3 Doritos después ya era un mago "hastag genio concede deseos" porque si, sin darnos mas luces sobre su origen.

El mago ya con el poder de conceder deseos pues se va a una isla y crean una ciudad a su alrededor, los emigrantes que van a la isla (obviamente van con el afán de que les concedan su deseo personal), pero deben por asi decirse volverse ciudadanos de la isla y (entregar su deseo al mago), haciendo que el usuario olvide su deseo...y el mago dispondrá de 1 día al año para conceder 1 deseo al azar de los ciudadanos del lugar.

En este aspecto claramente mi primera reacción es ¿para que quiere el mago los deseos de la gente?, ¿porque solo 1 deseo al año?, ¿que sentido tiene todo si es un mago "hastag genio de la lampara pude hacerlo mas veces seguidas"...así que simplemente continué viendo el filme para digerir la temática.

Our protagonist plays the role of a tour guide giving a quick tour to the new immigrants who land on the island, I add that the musical if I felt something very forced and fast ... as if we do this musical number reluctantly to be part of the tour, but well, that said, let's continue with the movie.

Nuestra protagonista hace de guia de turismo haciendo un recorrido rápido a los nuevos emigrantes que desembarcan en la isla, añado que el musical si lo senti algo muy forzado y rápido...como de hacemos este numero musical de mala gana por ser parte del recorrido, pero bueno dicho esto sigamos con la película.

The group of friends of the girl, felt a bit too rushed, with little or no sense, I mean, we are in the kitchen of the kingdom and everyone comes to eat freshly baked cookies, but just because they are her friends, it's super forced and without context.
Sure there are 2 coherent characters, a boy who collects eggs from the chickens and the girl who bakes the cookies, but the other characters are there only by inertia.

El grupo de amigos de la chica, se sintió algo demasiado apresurado, sin casi o nulo sentido, es decir, estamos en la cocina del reino y todos vienen a comer galletas recién horneadas, pero así por que si decir son los amigos de ella, pues super forzado y sin contexto.
Claro que hay 2 personajes coherentes, un chico que recoge huevos de las gallinas y la chica que hornea las galletas, pero los demás personajes están allí solo por inercia.

The plot is that the "Wizard" is interviewing to sponsor a new assistant, so the protagonist is the last candidate to apply and wants to be the wizard's assistant.

Obvious reasons are that they reveal that the magician's assistant will have preference (or political leverage) so that her relatives' wishes will be granted in the annual wish granting event.

A super strange fact is that the (Queen) looked for the protagonist in person to call her to her audition, something that left me thinking too much, how is it possible for a queen to do that if there must be castle staff, could it be that the idea is that the protagonist is above the queen, I mean, this happened to be a mere messenger to a stranger, so in that aspect something gave me paranoia in that matter.

La trama radica en que el "Mago" esta haciendo una entrevista para apadrinar a un nuevo ayudante de magia, asi que la protagonista es la ultima candidata en presentarse y quiere a juro, si o si, ser la ayudante de dicho mago.

Razones obvias es que revelan que el ayudante del mago tendrá preferencia (o palanca política) para que los deseos de sus familiares salgan favorecidos en el evento anual de conceder deseos.

Un dato super extraño es que la (Reina) busco en persona a la protagonista para llamarla a su audición, cosa que me dejo pensando demasiado ¿como es posible que una reina haga eso si debe existir personal del castillo?, ¿sera que la idea es que la protagonista este por encima de la reina?, digo, esta paso a ser una mera mensajera hacia un extraño, así que en ese aspecto algo me daba paranoia en ese asunto.

Our protagonist only wants to be the wizard's assistant to force her grandfather's wish, so once her intention is revealed, the wizard dismisses her as an apprentice.

Pasando de nuevo al tema, la chica se presenta ante el Mago, este le explica como funcionan los deseos revelando detalles de mas que le jugaran en su contra.

Nuestra protagonista solo quiere ser asistente del mago para forzar el deseo de su abuelo, asi que una vez revelada su intención. El mago la descarta como aprendiz, pues ella no tubo ni la gentileza ni el tacto de esperar 1 mes o un 1 año para pedir el favor personal de (quiero que concedas el deseo de mi abuelo).

Back to the movie, the girl is frustrated because her grandfather will never get his wish (and because the king himself fired her as his assistant), so she simply makes a musical to let off steam and a mario bros star falls from the sky.

Retomando la película, la chica se siente frustrada de que a su abuelo nunca cumplirá su deseo (y pues porque el mismo rey la despidió como asistente), asi que simplemente hace un musical para desahogarse y una estrella de mario bros cae del cielo.

It brings inanimate objects to life, makes animals talk and many other random things whenever it enters the scene.

Esta pues hace cobrar vida a objetos inanimados, hace hablar animales y muchas cosas random cada vez que entra en escena.

Basically the film is a chase to find the girl and destroy the star (or in this case take it over to be even more powerful as a sorcerer).

The film has a somewhat absurd denouement since the villagers sing and defeat the wizard.

Indudablemente acá la película toma un giro algo bizarro,
El mago al sentir un poder mágico que rivaliza con él, se desespera y empieza a buscar al traidor en su reino.

Añado que al ser Rey esta en todo su derecho, asi que no puedo encasillarlo como villano por ese contexto.

Básicamente el filme es una persecución para encontrar a la chica y destruir la estrella (o en este caso apoderarse de ella para ser aun mas poderoso como hechicero).

El filme tiene un desenlace algo absurdo ya que por guion los aldeanos cantan y vencen al mago.

Honestamente la vi como un capitulo random de alguna serie animada de tv, como Elena de Avalor...(y de por si muy apresurado el contexto del mago, su origen y como se añadieron los amigos a la protagonista), así que película como tal no la podría catalogar.

Cabe decir que dejar a medias una trama del origen y el porque el mago es el villano, no le da ese plus para sentir empatia o desagrado hacia ningun personaje (tanto heroe como villano).

Clearly the context was to turn this into a tropical themed film as I say (if it were a chapter of Elena of Avalor everything would fit better).

That or that instead of a wizard it was Hades and another goddess in the form of humans trying to fit in with the mortals...the thing could have been a better direction.

Podria decirse que fue algo hecho a las carreras y sin amor, ya que los escritores y guionistas solo cobraron por su trabajo y listo, no les importo que la pelicula funcionara.

Puede que la era del cine animado se fue al piso con los últimos filmes de disney, asi que en realidad es mejor no mantener ilusiones en que las próximas películas sean un exito, ya que dejan algo de negligencia al entregar tramas muy mal contadas.

En si es una película de ver 1 sola vez y pare de contar, pues hay mejores cosas en tv que simplemente apocaran cualquier filme de moda de Disney.

Posdata: Dudo que exista gente que tenga su habitación con la propuesta dicha, pero de ser asi, omite la critica y diviertete jugando lucha libre con las figuras de accion del filme, XD.

En si el filme tiene un buen diseño de personajes y hasta animalitos adorables, pero fuera de ello creo que falla al tratarnos de meternos en una historia envolvente, así que se puede decir que es mas problema de guion que de animación.
