I totally agree with you, I guess because we now know how they usually perform their scares due to watching too many horror movies, the trend has expired. In my opinion if you watch the old ones too much same will happen. I guess we need a new trend or to stay of horror for a while till we forget the cliches.

Hehe... can we forget cliches? Maybe once it stops being mainstream and only those who are really interested in making such movies choose to do so, maybe then we'll start getting some good work.
