Restless Minds

I'm enjoying a few days vacation.
I'm not the vacation taking kind of person. I always like there to be a reason to my rhyme. Routine seems to creep up on me. So, taking time off takes a couple of days of freefall until I realise I can actually focus on one thing.

I've had two nights filled with nightmares 😳 as my brain needs to take it easy - and today me, myself, and I have agreed to relax.

Although, not entirely.
While I "relax" I am still in the hotel laundry waiting for the clothing to dry. 😅

Alien Species

This RPG book is a chunky 400 pages.
I don't even play the game but I do enjoy immersing myself into the Alien genre.

I like all of the movies, comics and books.

I've read this book in its entirety before, it took several months, and now I have the chance to just focus on a few pages.

The Engineers experimented upon themselves. They created nightmare creature - and Us.

We search for our Creators.
It makes me reflect that will Artificial Intelligence search for our remains once we become a distant memory to them?

They predate us, they are us, and we come from the.

Just reading the 4 pages about the Engineers makes my mind spin.
It brings up snippets of the movies, contemplations on how I would run Role Playing game to keep players on edge - the varying kinds of Fear; fear of the unknown, fear of the unseen, and the fear of imminent danger!

Will you freeze and try to be invisible? Will you fight? Will you seek knowledge?

Who will you be when you venture into the unknown Universe?

I enjoy reading RPG books even though I don't play them. There must be a name for this behavior :) Great to see that you also enjoy diving into the details of RPG worlds.

Yes, I bought the Bladerunner one too & put in for the recent KickStarter.
They are such good quality & adds so much to the franchises.
