Setting that set my sleep.

The way I don't watch movies with village settings is something I can not account for.

I have never found it interesting to watch, not even in my wildest dream. Anytime I sit down to watch a movie in the village setting, I end up sleeping off. That's if I don't have the option of switching to something more palatable.

I have watched so many movies with village settings, and I have come to understand that they all have almost the same storyline.

So, from the beginning, one can be able to tell the end and trust me, it will end as predicted only if movies with village settings are, would are rich by now, because my prediction on how it will end is always accurate. I guess that's one of the reasons that causes me to sleep. I already know how most of them will end.

Now I sight an example of a Nigerian movie with a village setting.

"A poor girl who lost her mum and her dad decides to marry a second wife who happens to give birth to children as well. Those who are conversant with movies of such kinds will know that the girl will be maltreated by her stepmother, but if there is a prince in that movie, we can tell that she will later get married to the prince and then destiny will smile on her again."

Or

"A son of the land who got banished from the land for a crime he did not commit, he got out struggling and suffering in another land not knowing that he is an heir to throne in the land he is bannished from because he mum decided to keep the secretes of the king before she passed on, but in one way or the other it was time to set a new king and the gods pointed out the one who was banished as the first son of the king so he has to be brought back so he can ascend the throne."

Or

"A poor girl who was throne thrown into an evil forest just because they thought she is a witch, then she decided to cause the land before she passed on.
It's either there will be no rain or maidens will be dying or the animals will be dying any of these can just happen until they seek forgiveness by performing some sacrificial rituals that the girl in question. That's only when the land will be restored to normal."

I have watched so many movies with a village setting that has this same storyline.

So watching this is just like repeating a movie with different actors.

What's the essence of you listen to the same song from different people? The same message passed is the same lesson learnt, so it becomes even more boring when it comes in that way.

So, if it is me, just forget it, the village setting is not my kind of movie.

I know everyone is entitled to his or her opinion so please do not judge me when I call it boring.

The truth is that is it. I have also seen so many story lines of village scenes like this. And it just gets boring. There is always the lack of creativity.
