Spy Kids 2001 Movie -Review- ~ENG / SPA~
Hello my dear cinephile friends! I hope you are well, today I'm here to share with you one of my favorite movies from my childhood, and that yesterday I had the opportunity to see again after several years. This is Spy Kids which came out in 2001 and stars Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Daryl Sabara and Alexa Vega. I hope you like it.
¡Hola mis queridos amigos cinéfilos! Espero estén muy bien, hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes una de mis películas favoritas de mi infancia, y que el día de ayer tuve la oportunidad de volver a ver luego de varios años. Se trata de Spy Kids la cual salió en el 2001 y está protagonizada por Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Daryl Sabara y Alexa Vega. Espero les guste.
Plot / Trama
Carmen and Juni Cortez are two children who do not know that their parents were spies belonging to an organization called OSS but that they just married they left the organization, however later they will have to live great adventures in the spy world after their parents were kidnapped by Bran Castle after deceiving them with a false mission, an organization that plans to take over the world with an army of robots with super abilities, so after learning the truth about their parents, Juni and Carmen will become "spy kids" and they will embark on a mission to defeat the villains and save their parents.
Carmen y Juni Cortez son dos niños los cuales no saben que sus padres fueron espías pertenecientes a una organización llamada OSS pero que recién casados dejaron la organización, sin embargo luego les tocará vivir grandes aventuras en el mundo espía luego de que sus padres fueron secuestrados por el Bran Castle luego de engañarlos con una misión falsa, una organización que planea tomar el mundo con un ejército de robots con súper habilidades, así que luego de enterarse de la verdad sobre sus padres, Juni y Carmen se convertirán en "mini espías" y se embarcaran en una misión para poder derrotar a los villanos y salvar a sus padres.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
This was one of the movies that I watched the most when I was a child, I remember that the first time I saw it was on television (specifically on Disney Channel) and I liked it a lot, I found it very entertaining and I remember that I had a pleasant time. I find the story quite entertaining, full of action and a lot of humor so I never got bored, also the work of the actors in general is quite good, I especially loved seeing Antonio Banderas since I have admired him since I was little and the kids also did a very good job (I literally admired their work) so I can't complain on that part.
Esta era una de las películas que más veía cuando era niña, recuerdo que la primera vez que la ví fue en la televisión (específicamente en Disney Channel) y me gustó mucho, me pareció muy entretenida y recuerdo que pasé un rato agradable. La historia me parece bastante entretenida llena de acción y mucho humor por lo que no me aburrí en ningún momento, también el trabajo de los actores en general es bastante bueno, en especial me encantó ver a Antonio Banderas ya que lo admiro desde pequeña y los niños también hicieron un muy buen trabajo (literalmente admiré su trabajo) así que no puedo quejarme en esa parte.
The photography is very good as well as the special effects even though it's a low budget film, and it has a fairly wide color palette. I also really like the characters in general, who develop very well as the film progresses but my favorite is Carmen, and I really liked his work. director Robert Rodríguez, so I would say that in general terms the film is quite well made and it really made me very nostalgic to see it again since I hadn't seen it for quite some years, and I think that although it is mostly aimed at children, it can be enjoyed by the whole family. I have several favorite scenes but the one I liked the most is the one in which the children find out that their parents are spies and Carmen says that they can't be spies because they are not cool enough which makes me laugh because although it's true, it's customary for children to think that about their parents, so it doesn't seem so far from reality to me.
La fotografía es muy buena al igual que los efectos especiales a pesar de que es una película de bajo presupuesto, y tiene una paleta de colores bastante amplia, también me gustan mucho los personajes en general los cuales se desarrollan muy bien a medida que avanza la película pero mi favorita es Carmen, y me gustó mucho el trabajo de su director Robert Rodríguez por lo que diría que en términos generales la película está bastante bien hecha y de verdad que me dió mucha nostalgia volver a verla ya que tenía bastante años sin verla, y creo que aunque está mas que todo dirigida al público infantil, puede ser disfrutada por toda la familia. Tengo varias escenas favorita pero la que más me gustó es en la que los niños se enteran que sus padres son espías y Carmen dice que ellos no pueden ser espías porque no son lo suficientemente geniales lo cual me hace reír ya que si bien es cierto, es costumbre que los niños puedan pensar eso de sus papás por lo que no me parece tan lejos de la realidad.
I also found the soundtrack quite good and interesting since it has great songs that are a good addition to the movie and I would say that the one I liked the most is the version of the song "Oye Como Va" that they named "Oye Como Spy" and was sung by the group Los Lobos. Well, finally, I would say that it is one of the best movies that I could see at the beginning of the 2000s and that even though it is old, it is still very good and enjoyable for the whole family. I would like to recommend it to all those who still do not know it, I assure you that you will not regret seeing it. It's worth noting that the adventures of the "mini spies" don't end here because this film has 2 direct sequels, and a fourth with new protagonists, so it's a large universe to explore, and I hope that if you dare to see them all, you will enjoy them.
El soundtrack también me pareció bastante bueno e interesante ya que tiene canciones geniales que son buena adición a la película y diría que la que más me gustó es la versión de la canción "Oye Como Va" que nombraron "Oye Como Spy" y fue cantada por el grupo Los Lobos. Bueno para finalizar diría que es una de las mejores películas que pude ver al inicio de los 2000 y que a pesar de que es vieja sigue siendo muy buena y disfrutable para toda la familia, me gustaría recomendarla a todos los que todavía no la conocen, les aseguro que no se arrepentirán de verla. Cabe destacar que las aventuras de los "mini espías" no terminan aquí ya que esta película cuenta con 2 secuelas directas, y una cuarta con nuevos protagonistas así que es un universo grande para explorar, y espero que si se animan a verlas todas las disfruten.

I love this movie when I was young, I think I have seen it for the nth time during the pandemic it is a very nice movie of young children and teens.

This one is a classic! I remember really liking the spy kids when I was a kid. My favorite was the second installment because of that strange island with the odd animals. Truly, these movies were able to capture our hearts as kids. Every kid wants to be cool and save the world so it's fun watching other kids do that.
