Muj pribeh (My Story), raising awareness of female abuse

This Czech film directed by Libor Adam and Hana Hendrychová and scripted from the book Calaway by Zora Castillo tells the true story of Adams and Pavla Krecmerova. Pavla Krecmerova.
The plot revolves around the young and talented Elizabeth who gives up her successful ballet career for love, however the man who stole her heart also had a dark side and, in just a moment she is dragged into a life of abuse and hardship due to her partner's unhealthy jealousy, until the inevitable happens and he almost kills her and leaves her with disfigurements to her face and body.

She has to start a new life away from her husband and with the help of a friend from high school she moves to Moravia, where through plastic surgery they are able to restore her former appearance.
With the help of four wonderful friends, as well as her aunt who has supported her throughout her life, Elizabeth begins a new life and, above all, finds new confidence.
The vision is born of cruelty and a hopeful awakening, offering Elizabeth not only a second chance to find true happiness but also true love.

The main protagonist of this film is Vlastina Svátková, who coincidentally has had a similar experience to the protagonist.
She is known for acting in films such as Casino Royale (2006), The 44th Child (2015) and Gangster Ka (2015).
Undoubtedly this is a film aimed at raising awareness of the mistreatment suffered by women around the world.
