“Dreamer” is a film directed by John Gatins, which combines elements of drama and sports, and is inspired by a true story.

The film chronicles the life of a young girl named Cale Tucker (played by Dakota Fanning), who becomes the heroine of a heartwarming story about perseverance, family and the love of horses.

The plot begins with Ben Crane (played by Kurt Russell), a racehorse trainer going through a difficult time in his career.

After one of his horses, the promising “Dreamer,” suffers a serious injury during a race, Ben faces pressure from his boss, who decides it is best to put the animal down.

However, Ben, who has a deep love for horses, refuses to accept this decision and decides to take “Dreamer” home to recover.

Ben's daughter, Cale, is passionate about horses and feels a special connection to the animal.”

As the horse begins his rehabilitation process, Cale becomes his caretaker and develops a unique bond with him. The young woman, facing her own insecurities and pressure from her father to follow a more conventional path, finds in “Dreamer” a source of inspiration and hope.

Throughout the film, the relationship between Ben and Cale deepens as they both face their own challenges. Ben struggles to regain his reputation as a coach and prove that “Dreamer” can compete again.

At the same time, Cale becomes an advocate for the horse, convinced that he has the potential to win one of the most important races in the country, the Breeders' Cup.

The story unfolds in an environment filled with obstacles, from a lack of financial support to others' doubts about “Dreamer's” ability to return to the track.

However, Cale and Ben's determination, along with their love for the horse, allows them to overcome adversity.

The film also introduces endearing supporting characters, such as Cale's grandfather (played by Kris Kristofferson), who brings wisdom and support to the family.
