"Django Unchained" takes us back to the era of slavery in the United States, where we follow the story of Django, a freed slave played by Jamie Foxx. Django teams up with a bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz, who offers him his freedom in exchange for helping him capture several criminals.
As they progress in their mission, Django becomes a skilled gunslinger and seeks to rescue his wife, Broomhilda, played by Kerry Washington, who is enslaved on a plantation owned by Calvin Candie, a ruthless landowner played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
The film depicts the brutality and injustice of slavery, while blending Tarantino's trademark elements of action and humor.

"Django Unchained" is a film that addresses sensitive issues in a raw and violent manner, but also presents us with a story of redemption and justice amidst a dark historical context.
"Django Unchained" won two Academy Awards in 2013. One for Christoph Waltz for Best Supporting Actor and another for Quentin Tarantino for Best Original Screenplay.
The film also won two Golden Globes in 2013. Again, Christoph Waltz took home the award for Best Supporting Actor, and Quentin Tarantino won Best Screenplay.
