Title: THE MARVELS

Captain Marvel (played by the always emotionless Brie Larson) attempts to stop the Kree war by destroying the all-powerful AI controlling the Kree world. The result is the slow destruction of the Kree world as it is plagued by drought, unbreathable air and a dying sun. Enter the "Villain", Dar-Benn (played by Zawe Ashton who is hated by all women as she is married to Tom Hiddleston) who digs up a powerful artifact. Ms Marvel (Iman Vellani) plays the fan girl with powers and also just happens to have the powerful artifact's counterpart). Dar-Benn is using the artifact to create portals between worlds and her planet in order to save her people while at the same time punishing those she feels wronged her in some way.

As a way of beefing up the Estrogen on the screen, we also have Captain Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) who has also obtained powers from her stint in WandaVision. Due to interaction with one fo the portals and Ms Marvel's artifact, their powers are accidentally linked such that they are teleported and swap places with each other whenever they use their powers. Chaos ensues.

The primary problem with the movie is that it takes waaaay too long for Captain Marvel to decide to fix the issues she created on the Kree world and recognize that the Villain truly does have a bone to pick and is trying to save her planet, but instead is intent on beating her.

Fury eats every scene that he is in. And there's a brief, yet annoying, All-Disney scene in the middle (We are talking Princesses, Musical Numbers, etc...)

But the Cats are the best part of the movie. It's worth seeing just for them.

Fun: I enjoyed it. It's a Marvel Movie. So we've got a lot of action, great effects and some comic relief. Its upcoming box office failure is undeserved. I think, once again, the Woke contingent have left a stench on this movie that sadly will harm it in the theaters. That, and every Marvel movie ends up on Disney+ minutes after their release.

Preachy: Not really. Other than the obvious desire to make as many of the characters as possible female, it really doesn't beat you over the head with anything. They just do what Marvel Superheroes do. I'm almost shocked that they didn't replace Nick Fury with Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) to pull the full Ghostbusters(2016), but I suspect that would have been too much, even for Hollywood.

We also get a tease of the Young Avengers. Hopefully, we will see a Young Avengers movie on the way.
