ARGYLLE - Movie Review

Argylle is an action-comedy spy flick, which is the best genre of all time.

Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, a writer of spy novels. she is, of course, pretty, single and has a cat. Her main character is Argylle and in her fantasies is played by Henry Cavill. So it's already good.

Elly decides to take a train ride to visit her mother to work out the next chapter of her latest book. She is approached by Sam Rockwell who is apparently a real spy.

She is immediately attacked by the entire population of the train as spies attempt to get her while Sam Rockwell fights them off.

This is perhaps the greatest piece of entertainment I have seen in my life as Elly watches the action with Sam Rockwell and Henry Cavill switching back and forth throughout the action as her fantasties and her reality clash during the battles.

Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors and he just owns this movie. If you haven't seen Mr. Right, go see it now. I loved him in everything from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Seven Psychopaths, Jojo Rabbit, to See How They Run. He just has a wonderful deadpan delivery in times of stress.

For those of you playing at home, we are talking about a wonderful action-comedy blending of Bullet Train, Lost City, Kingsmen, and Operation Fortune with a sprinkling of Fast & Furious. This movie has EVERYTHING. Plot twists, double-crosses, action, great dialog, ridiculous fight scenes, insane chase scenes, basically everything that you would want and more. And the casting is perfection.

They even tossed in Samuel L. Jackson, John Cena, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, Dua Lipa, Rob Delany and Cary Elwes for good measure.

Fun: From the opening credits to the after credits, this movie is fun.

Preachy: Not in the least. This movie is over the top action-comedy spy thriller that just wants to have fun.
