"Rediscovering the Golden Era: A Tribute to '80s and '90s Sitcoms"

The '80s and '90s had the best era of TV shows, and although I was not born in this era, their TV shows live on to this day. I am a big fan of sitcom shows, and I don't know any movie genre that could rival what the 80s and '90s sitcoms offered many of us during their peak and present day. Sitcom shows were special and I am surprised that I have not seen a sitcom in this present time that could rival the 80s and 90s although Young Sheldon is doing very well it has not reached the level of the 90s sitcom shows in my opinion.

There were incredible shows back in the day, and currently, I am catching up on some of the shows. TikTok has to be credited and I know some users have breached piracy rules but they were able to do a lot more in marketing this shows to the present generation and if you check through some of the comments of a clip of the shows posted on TikTok you will see a lot of people asking the names of the shows so they can go and watch the shows.

There are a couple of 80s and 90s sitcom TV shows that I have watched, but my top three picks would be Friends, Family Matters, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. These shows ushered in the incredible actors and actresses that we know today, and two of those names are Will Smith and Jennifer Aniston. The two names mentioned are popular to many of us today because they kept on doing what they love best and made it huge in the movie industry, which is a hard place to make a big name.

Friends were just special from the beginning to the end. The screenwriter and producers did a fantastic job on the show, from casting the actors to making every season from 1-10 top-notch. There was never a reason to stop watching because every episode kept drawing me closer to the show. Joey and Chandler played by Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry( may his soul rest in peace) made the show epic with their jokes and sarcasm. They both had a good connection, and I was happy the producers did a reunion before the passing of Matthew Perry. It's a show worth watching, and if you have yet to watch it, I will say you try it out, and if you are looking for where to watch it, it's on Netflix.

Family Matters was a top show in the late 80s and had great actors and actresses in the show. The main character Steve Urkel was actually a supporting character when the show started but Jaleel White who played Steve did the goofy kid role unexpectedly well which prompted the directors to give him more screen time which worked out for the show and made it a huge hit. Family Matters went for 9 seasons straight, and like Friends, the producers gave incredible seasons back-to-back to the final season of the show.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was another incredible sitcom in the 90s, and it was a breakthrough for Will Smith in his career as an actor. Late James Avery starred in the show alongside Karyn Parsons and many more incredible actors and actresses. Will Smith is one of the biggest actors in the movie industry, I never knew he was a part of this show until recently. The show has everything, and I will say it is worth watching if you are interested.
