My Neighbor Totoro was actually recommended to me by a friend, @ibet, here on Hive. She’s an amazing friend who made me see anime from a whole new perspective.
Growing up, I never watched anime. In fact, I only started watching it during my second year at university. I’ve always preferred action-packed anime over calmer ones, but watching My Neighbor Totoro changed that for me. It made me reflect on my surroundings, think about my childhood, and reminisce about the past. The nostalgic feeling it brought was truly special.
This is such an enjoyable anime, and I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s a true work of art.
