Initiative: Favorite Film Saga / The Wizarding World of Harry Potter ⚡
About 24 years ago an unemployed and almost destitute teacher created a magical world while sitting in a train station. A world that captures us and to which we all want to belong where we met magic, friendship and wonder at the hand of a child with whom we grew up.
J.K Rowling gave us, if I include myself, a wonderful world with an incredible story and a protagonist whom we understand. I grew up with this series, with Harry and his friends. Who did not expect to receive your letter to travel to Hogwarts and be part of the magic? We all hope at some point to hear the same words that Hagrid said to little Harry and that started this fantastic journey. "You are a wizard, Harry"
She wrote 7 surprising books about this thin and unkempt boy who transforms before our eyes into a boy with the fate of the world on his shoulders, as well as going through the typical problems of adolescence. Harry quickly learns that the world that opens before his eyes is not so good, there are dangers that he faces with courage and a lot of help from his inseparable friends, but they must quickly mature to face the most powerful dark wizard in history and their Death Eaters.
The film career began with the premiere of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001 at the hands of director Chris Columbos, who also directed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which is the second installment, with the approval of the script by JK Rowling herself who continued with this for the other 7 movies.
The saga changed director on multiple occasions. The vision of Warner, who had the rights to produce the film, and Rowling's approval of it were responsible. The third film in the saga and my absolute favorite, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, which was released in 2004 and was directed by the great Alfonso Cuarón. I loved this film, it seems to me that it was the best adapted and the frame is sublime. It's the darkest and I'm not talking about the plot, but it's still worth seeing. We also know more about the era that I adore the most, the era of the marauders and part of the history of my favorite character, Severus Snape. Well the whole saga is worth seeing, but it is better to read the books.
The fourth installment was directed by Mike Newell, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire released in 2005, here the color returned to the screen and a youthful proposal. I must say that it was the one that I liked the least, it was poorly adapted in terms of the importance of the tournament and especially the appearance of the villain, but it totally managed to show us the adolescent side of Harry and for that reason it has a point.

From the fifth to the eighth, they were directed by David Yates. I have nothing to find about this director, in fact he was the one who best managed to convey the magic of the world and Harry's heartbreaking adolescence, but nothing beats Cuarón and the history of the marauders. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was released in 2007 and in 2009 came the adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Now I will answer because there are 7 books and 8 film adaptations. The last installment Harry Potter and the deathly hallows was divided into 2 parts. The deathly hallows part 1 released in 2010 and part 2 released in 2011. A bit to address everything that involved the closure of this saga and partly for marketing. Yet many things were left up in the air that cannot be answered unless you have read the books. It should not happen, but we would need 4 hours to cover everything that was necessary.
The saga could end, but not our journey in the magical world. In 2016 Fantastic Animals and where to find them was released, which introduces us to a new Hero, Newt Scarmander, but with a story that happens many years before Harry was born. The magical world will never end and less with a new saga that promises us another 3 films.
Harry Potter marked a generation, you can be a fan of books or movies or both, but this magical world will live in our hearts forever. My letter from Hogwarts arrived when I was 12 years old and I saw Harry for the first time, I got on the scarlet engine with him and we set out on this wonderful journey.
