New RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD!

It's been too long since the last Return of the Living Dead film, but fear not, horror fans! The iconic zombie franchise is making a comeback in 2025, just in time for its 40th anniversary.

After a series of tantalizing teaser images, the studio has unveiled a chilling trailer for the next installment. This isn't a reboot, but a direct sequel to the original film, set in the winter of 1985. The infamous Tarman is back, ready to wreak havoc on an unsuspecting Pennsylvania town. While no returning characters from the first film will make an appearance (due to their unfortunate demise), the new movie promises to immerse fans back into the darkly humorous, sexy, and Trioxin-fueled world they first fell in love with.

The original Return of the Living Dead introduced us to a town overrun by zombies after a toxic gas accident. The upcoming film, directed and written by Steve Wolsh, pays homage to its roots by utilizing practical effects and on-location shooting. The cemetery featured in the trailer is a replica of Resurrection Cemetery from the first movie, creating a nostalgic and eerie atmosphere. Wolsh promises a stunning visual experience, captured with widescreen anamorphic lenses and practical snow effects.

Get ready to face the undead once again when Return of the Living Dead shambles into theaters in Christmas 2025.
