So Not Good - September 5, 2023 @goldenoakfarm

So I woke Tuesday still with bad back pain. My helper arrived at 9:30AM and got the laundry started and cleaned up and re-seasoned the cast iron saucepan. Then he helped me start the inventory of all the movies. It hadn’t been done since December 2018. He had helped me do it then also.

The point was to update my inventory books and take out all duplicates, usually videos, but sometimes copied DVDs. I’d taken out a lot on Saturday when I’d brought home the 37 DVDs. This is what I found on Tuesday.

I got the videos compacted again and it left me with a row unused. Because I store them horizontally, none of the DVD cases or the big boxes for videos fit on the shelves. Those odd shaped ones ended up on the lower shelves.

My helper friend brought back an order for cat food from the store before he left at noon. Larry is eating well and has put on a little weight.

Whatever was bothering him seems to have stopped. He also was supervising the inventory and the afternoon nap.

It took him a very long time to notice all the rabbits in the yard. He likes to watch them from the back porch. But usually there’s nothing showing of him behind the cabinet. I’ve twice shut the door and he’s been stuck out there.

After resting and eating lunch, I got the DVDs in alphabetical order so it will be easier to inventory them. That’s what I hope to do on Wednesday. My back was a good deal better by evening so I’m hoping one more easy day will do it. It’s so hot and humid here I doubt I’d last 2 hours outside, even in the early morning.
