Sun up crop Nov 2024.jpg

On Saturday I was up really early, about 3:15AM. My brother had already left for the airport. I worked on all the photos for the post for a while, then went and watched a movie.

Then I worked on the photos some more and started writing the post. It was about 8:30AM and the library had something on hold. I wanted one more photo for the post and I had to deal with a problem with a delivery from the post office. So I decided to try to do all 3 things in my 20 minute window I sometimes have, for driving.

The photo wasn’t very good as I had to look into the sun. And I got no joy, just more info, at the post office. I was gone 25 minutes.

Back home I decided to try to resolve the issue through the sender of the package and I finally succeeded. Then I went back to the post and finally got it up about 10AM.

I spent the rest of the day watching movies until 3PM when Tom and my #1 intern arrived for short visit. She had recently had her 20th birthday and mentioned she’d started as intern when she was 13 years old. Wow! Time flies…

Tom was able to jury rig a monitor onto the laptop until the parts for it come in. So now I have Christmas music in the addition again!

I spent the rest of the day watching movies.

On Sunday my friend and I are driving out to Plum Island to see the ocean (her) and to find a yummy lobster dinner for both of us. She hopes to walk the beach but I expect I will sit and watch the ocean while she does. I might move a little because of the long car ride, but I’m not able to walk like she does. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day.

The wood guy called and he’s finally bringing a cord and a half of wood while I am gone. So my son has a big job ahead of him, getting it into the shed.

I hope you had a great time at the beach enjoying the ocean.

Post office are always a pain as time waste, and people there are not useful at all most of the times... "we don't know" most common answer

I'm glad you didn't have much work to do and that gave you enough time to rest and also watched movies.

Offloading such amount of wood is not going to be easy though your son is capable and hardworking.
