REVIEW | Only the brave! - heroes, at what cost? (Spa- Eng)
Por lo general soy de las personas que piensa que:
"nada en esta vida sucede por simple curiosidad, todo ocurre por un propósito para bien o para mal".
Así ocurrió en la vida de Brendan McDonough, un joven con muchos problemas personales, sociales y de adicciones, pero aun así dispuesto a darle a su vida un sentido diferente, para ello decide buscar una oportunidad dentro del cuerpo de bomberos de la pequeña ciudad, con un excelente equipo de trabajo los cuales se hicieron llamar “Granite Mountain Hotshots”
Esta película está basada en hechos de la vida real, lo que para mí representa ese plus nostálgico, sentimental y de drama que tanto me gusta encontrar en las películas y que sin duda captan mi interés. Este grupo de valientes bomberos están decididos a que sus nombres fueran recordados por siempre gracias a su arduo y valiente trabajo, quizás pagando un precio demasiado costoso.
I am usually one of those people who think that:
"nothing in this life happens out of mere curiosity, everything happens for a purpose for better or for worse".
So it happened in the life of Brendan McDonough, a young man with many personal, social and addiction problems, but still willing to give his life a different meaning, for this he decides to seek an opportunity within the fire department of the small town, with an excellent team of work which were called "Granite Mountain Hotshots ".
This film is based on real life events, which for me represents that extra nostalgic, sentimental and drama that I like to find in movies and that undoubtedly capture my interest. This group of brave firefighters are determined that their names will be remembered forever for their hard and courageous work, perhaps at a costly price.

Dentro de la película podemos encontrar que cada uno de estos valientes héroes estaban viviendo sus propias historias, una muy diferente a la otra. Inicie esta publicación contándoles un poquito de la vida de Brendan porque en lo personal fue el personaje más significativo para mí, pero también uno importante dentro de esta historia lo es Eric Marsh.
Un hombre siempre dispuesto a cumplir y resguardar el bienestar y la estabilidad del condado Prescott, Arizona lugar donde hace una vida con su esposa, es el típico hombre dedicado a su trabajo dejando a un lado los deseos de su esposa de querer tener a un hombre con el cual formar una familia, cosa que ve muy lejano que suceda viendo la entrega que tiene Eric a su trabajo.
Este sólido grupo de bomberos fue sometido a diversas pruebas tanto físicas como mentales para llegar a ser ese gran y ejemplar cuerpo de héroes, luego de que este grupo de valientes fuera aprobado sus vidas ya no serían las mismas, ya que empezaron a ser reconocidos por cada persona del condado y sobre los cuales caían las responsabilidades de mantener al pueblo a salvo y más cuando se iniciaba la temporada de incendios forestales. Brendan ahora tenía un nuevo objetivo convertirse en un honorable caballero por el hecho de que su ex pareja le dio la oportunidad de convivir con su pequeña hija, así que eso le añadía más presión a su trabajo.
Within the movie we can find that each of these brave heroes were living their own stories, one very different from the other. I started this post by telling you a little bit about Brendan's life because personally he was the most significant character for me, but also an important one in this story is Eric Marsh.
A man always willing to comply and safeguard the welfare and stability of Prescott County, Arizona where he makes a life with his wife, is the typical man dedicated to his work leaving aside the desires of his wife to have a man with whom to start a family, which is very distant to happen seeing the dedication that Eric has to his work.
This solid group of firemen was submitted to several physical and mental tests to become this great and exemplary body of heroes, after this group of brave men was approved their lives would no longer be the same, since they began to be recognized by every person in the county and on whom fell the responsibilities of keeping the town safe and more when the forest fire season began. Brendan now had a new goal to become an honorable gentleman because his ex-partner gave him the opportunity to live with his young daughter, so that added more pressure to his job.

Durante una asignación de combatir uno de los feroces incendios este equipo tiene la responsabilidad de proteger un árbol de enebro con más de 200 años de existencia en el condado, la operación resulta ser todo un éxito hasta que Brendan es mordido por una serpiente lo cual hace que se aparte por unos días de las jornadas laborales, pero con el deseo de aspirar a nuevos cargos decide hablar con su jefe Eric y le da a conocer ese deseo que asumir nuevas responsabilidades en el grupo.
Para su sorpresa solo recibió rechazo por su pasado y adicciones, pero aun así este joven no se rindió y decidió seguir con el grupo de 20 bomberos, que se empezaban a convertir en parte de una sólida familia. Y como inicie esta publicación, nada sucede por casualidad… durante el combate cuerpo a cuerpo con uno de los incendios, Brendan es considerado como un vigía para los demás hombres mientras luchan con este infierno frente a sus ojos porque no estaba al 100% debido a la picadura de serpiente.
Durante la lucha contra el incendio Brendan escucha a través de la radio la agonía que estaban sufriendo sus compañeros, ya que fueron emboscados por el fuego, hasta que a través de múltiples llamadas al grupo quedaron sin respuestas un equipo de rescate se aproxima hacia el lugar y confirma la noticia que los 19 bomberos habían fallecido.
During an assignment to fight one of the fierce fires this team has the responsibility to protect a juniper tree with more than 200 years of existence in the county, the operation turns out to be a success until Brendan is bitten by a snake which causes him to be apart for a few days of the workday, but with the desire to aspire to new positions decides to talk to his boss Eric and gives him to know that desire to take on new responsibilities in the group.
To his surprise he only received rejection for his past and addictions, but still this young man did not give up and decided to continue with the group of 20 firefighters, who were beginning to become part of a solid family. And as I started this publication, nothing happens by chance... during the melee with one of the fires, Brendan is considered a lookout for the other men as they fight this inferno in front of their eyes because he was not 100% due to the snake bite.
During the fight against the fire Brendan hears over the radio the agony his comrades were suffering as they were ambushed by the fire, until through multiple calls to the group went unanswered a rescue team approaches the scene and confirms the news that all 19 firefighters had passed away.

Siendo Brendan el único bombero sobreviviente, ¿presagio? No lo sé, pero insisto nada sucede por casualidad.
No me imagino la agonía diaria de este hombre luchando con múltiples pensamientos de ¿por qué sé salvo él?, y como superar la muerte de estos 19 hombres que no solo eran compañeros de trabajo, sino que eran como una familia, o por lo menos es lo que esta película intenta transmitir.
Si es muy nostálgica la forma en la que este grupo de héroes pierde la vida, en lo personal creo que morir quemado es una de las muertes más sufridas, así que no lo quiero ni imaginar.
Si quieres reflexionar sobre tu vida, las segundas oportunidades y llorar un poco te la recomiendo porque eso se logra conseguir en cada escena de esta película.
Para terminar, al final de la película se muestra este enorme enebro que fue salvado por el grupo de hombres, y a Brendan con su hija en ese lugar, también van a ver las fotos de los héroes de la vida real.
With Brendan being the only surviving firefighter, doomsday? I don't know, but I insist nothing happens by chance.
I can't imagine the daily agony of this man struggling with multiple thoughts of why did I save him?, and how to overcome the death of these 19 men who were not only co-workers, but were like family, or at least that's what this movie tries to convey.
If it is very nostalgic the way in which this group of heroes loses their lives, personally I think that to die burned is one of the most suffered deaths, so I don't even want to imagine it.
If you want to reflect on your life, second chances and cry a little I recommend it because that is achieved in every scene of this film.
To finish, at the end of the movie it shows this huge juniper tree that was saved by the group of men, and Brendan with his daughter in that place, you are also going to see the pictures of the real life heroes.

Hola amiga, no sabía de esta película y por lo que mencionas abarca una serie de elementos y responsabilidades que tiene que pasar esas personas y sobre todo ese tipo de películas siempre buscan reflejar ese trabajo en equipo, la motivación y siempre estar todos juntos, además ser bomberos no es fácil y el mínimo error que se cometa puede afectar mucho. Sin duda la buscaré y muy curioso que solo haya sobrevivido uno.
Hola amigo, es una película que te engancha desde el principio. Cada uno de estos hombres tiene una peculiar historia, y el unico que sobrevivió fue este joven porque fue mordido por una serpiente, pero no me imagino las cosas que pasarían por su cabeza al ser el único vivo en esa tragedia.
Es una película muy interesante, espero que tengas oportunidad de verla 😃
La manera en que hablas de las segundas oportunidades y el peso emocional que lleva el ser el único sobreviviente es realmente conmovedora. Además, rescatar ese árbol de más de 200 años le da un simbolismo increíble a la lucha de estos héroes, muy interesante! 👍
Hola @jessuses1381 es una película muy interesante, me hizo pensar mucho en si fue una bendición el ser el único sobreviviente o no,😰 ya que no me imagino la cantidad de pensamientos que le vendrían a este joven, incluso hay una escena muy particular en la que ingresa a una cancha para confirmar quien fue el unico sobreviviente.
Ese árbol fue el que los unió mucho más como equipo, incluso la película termina allí con tres años de diferencia.
