No sé si les ha pasado que están tan acostumbrados a ver a un actor o actriz en papeles más serios y oscuros que no pueden imaginarlo interpretando personajes más divertidos, inmaduros o, en síntesis, en una comedia romántica. Eso me sucede con Cillian Murphy, y por eso decidí hablarles sobre esta producción:
I don't know if it has happened to you that you are so used to seeing an actor or actress in more serious and darker roles that you can't imagine him or her playing funnier, immature characters or, in short, in a romantic comedy. That's what happens to me with Cillian Murphy, and that's why I decided to tell you about this production:

| Es una comedia romántica dirigida por Paul Soter que se estrenó en al año 2007. Está protagonizada por Lucy Liu y Cilian Murphy. Esta producción sigue la vida de Neil, el propietario de una tienda de alquiler de películas, quien conoce a Violet, una chica con una personalidad explosiva que pone su mundo de cabeza. | It is a romantic comedy directed by Paul Soter that was released in 2007. It stars Lucy Liu and Cilian Murphy. This production follows the life of Neil, the owner of a movie rental store, who meets Violet, a girl with an explosive personality that turns his world upside down. |
| Neil lleva una vida bastante común; tiene una tienda que no le va del todo bien, pero es un amante de las películas clásicas, disfrutándolas junto a sus amigos y su hermana. Ha pasado la mayor parte de su vida frente al televisor, y por eso le cuesta establecer relaciones serias, ya que se aburre con facilidad. Sin embargo, cuando conoce a Violet por casualidad, ella comienza a sorprenderlo con situaciones inesperadas e incómodas. A pesar de esto, se siente atraído de manera inmediata hacia ella. | Neil leads a fairly ordinary life; he owns a store that is not doing well, but he is a lover of classic movies, enjoying them with his friends and his sister. He has spent most of his life in front of the TV, and therefore finds it hard to establish serious relationships, as he gets bored easily. However, when he meets Violet by chance, she begins to surprise him with unexpected and uncomfortable situations. Despite this, he is immediately attracted to her. |

| Este es un cambio drástico de personaje, considerando los papeles interpretados por Cillian. Aquí podemos ver su lado inmaduro, gracioso y, digamos, tierno. No le tenía mucha fe a la pareja, pero me terminó sorprendiendo la química entre ambos y lo bien que desarrollaron la historia juntos. Cabe destacar que este no es exactamente un romance convencional y bonito; a medida que avanza, se vuelve un poco extraño, pero funciona. | This is a drastic change of character, considering the roles played by Cillian. Here we get to see his immature, funny and, shall we say, tender side. I didn't have much faith in the couple, but I ended up being surprised by the chemistry between the two and how well they developed the story together. It's worth noting that this isn't exactly a conventional, cute romance; as it progresses, it gets a little strange, but it works. |

| Y aunque me gustó, ya que tuvo sus momentos divertidos y la actuación de ellos fue entretenida, los personajes secundarios, a pesar de no tener mucho tiempo en pantalla, me parecieron encantadores. Ni hablar de las situaciones que Violet creaba o inventaba, como la del parque, que realmente le dieron un toque especial. Sin embargo, tuvo algunos errores e inconsistencias que hacen que el final sea un poco confuso, porque pasamos toda la película con situaciones actuadas y esa última no deja claro si era parte del plan o no. | And although I liked it, as it had its funny moments and their acting was entertaining, the secondary characters, despite not having much screen time, I found them charming. Not to mention the situations Violet created or invented, like the one in the park, which really gave it a special touch. However, it had some mistakes and inconsistencies that make the ending a bit confusing, because we spend the whole movie with acted situations and that last one doesn't make it clear if it was part of the plan or not. |

| Si bien todo es ficción, debo decir que es muy poco probable que una relación en la que uno de los involucrados se pasa fingiendo secuestros, encuentros con la policía y situaciones peligrosas dignas de una película, para mantener la atención y el entretenimiento de su pareja, tenga mucho futuro. 😂 | And, while it's all fiction, I have to say that it's highly unlikely that a relationship in which one of the parties involved spends time faking kidnappings, police encounters and movie-worthy dangerous situations to keep their partner's attention and entertainment has much of a future. 😂 |

| Realmente no tengo mucho más que mencionar. Es una producción entretenida que mantiene un ritmo constante hasta el final. Es sencilla, la pareja es divertida, la escenografía es buena y la actuación de ambos es sólida. A pesar de sus errores y de un final un poco extraño, creo que es genial para disfrutar y pasar el rato. | I really don't have much more to mention. It's an entertaining production that keeps a steady pace until the end. It's simple, the couple is funny, the set design is good and the acting by both is solid. Despite its flaws and a bit of an odd ending, I think it's great to enjoy and hang out with. |
