This is another 2024 thriller in which Taron Egerton gives a very passionate performance. Immediately I stumbled on it, I said to myself, "This is just the perfect movie for Christmas", solid effects, excellent tension and of course smooth delivery by the acting team.
A well crafted airport thriller on Christmas Day? I wouldn't miss out on that!

In an airport filled with people, on Christmas Eve, a mysterious criminal mastermind, carries a dangerous suitcase which has to be transported by all means, and a security officer faces a travel nightmare.

Ethan Kopek (Taron Egerton) is a dedicated TSA agent who failed at police academy. He has a pregnant girlfriend, Nora, who has been so supportive of him, and urges him to dream bigger dreams. While on duty at the airport, Ethan is thrust into a life and death situation where he has to allow a mysterious bag on Christmas Eve pass the checkpoint, or risk loosing his girlfriend.

The mysterious criminal known as the "Traveler"(Jason Bateman) manipulates Ethan’s vulnerabilities, trying to use his failures in life to his advantage. Now every decision Ethan makes, counts.

The bag contains a nerve agent, a weapon with catastrophic potential and whose sole purpose was to assassinate the Chair of the Armed Services boarding the flight, and puting the blame on Russia. Ethan stuck between duty and family, complies with everything the traveler tells him to do but in the process of trying to play smart, his supervisor, Lionel is killed.

The flight takes off and Ethan who takes the responsibility of ensuring innocent lives were not jeopardized, boards the plane to locate where the bag is. The traveler also boards the plane to ensure the success of the mission and confronts Ethan when he tried to take the luggage. They both get into an intense fight and in a critical moment, Ethan traps the traveler in a vacuum sealed fridge, in the cargo hold. The traveler tries to activate the nerve agent only for him to discover that it was locked up with him in the fridge. It ends up killing only him and neutralizing the immediate threat.

Ethan becomes a hero.

It was a wild wild ride and very enjoyable, though one could already guess the bigger picture and the conclusion of it, the details of getting to that point of resolution was the super interesting moment for me.

Great actors, great characters, die-hard kind of stuffs, good old fashioned thriller, I had a great time watching it and I would recommend the movie for everyone. This 9/10 movie is available to watch on Netflix.

What a coincidence!
A friend of mine gave a short review of this film on his status. He gave it a whooping 8/10. Before now though, i have been seeing posts about this film.

I know I'll watch it real soon cause i love Taron and how he brings life to his character. I can't forget his character in the movie 'Kingsman.'

Did see the trailer a couple of weeks back but I didn't think it had been out yet. Might as well check it out.
