I must be honest, I didn't see this movie when it premiered in Venezuela back in 2004. I just saw it with my youngest son who is over 20 years old.
Well, I can tell you that if you're looking for a feel-good Christmas movie with the family, [Polar Express] is the perfect movie for you.
On Christmas night, a little boy named Billy wakes up in his room, trying to listen to the sound of Santa's sleigh bells. However, as the night wears on, Billy begins to doubt the existence of Santa Claus.
Suddenly, a thunderous noise startles him. Billy comes out of his room and sees a bright red train standing in front of his house. The train is the Polar Express, a magical train that takes children to the North Pole to meet Santa. The image of the train is majestic.
Billy boards the train and meets other children from all over the world. Together, they travel through the Arctic, where they experience incredible adventures.
The film has several characters that accompany Billy on his journey to the North Pole. Some of them are:
The conductor:
A mysterious character receives and gives the child a golden ticket with a word written on it.
The little girl:
A little girl who is also aboard the train and becomes BIlly's friend. She is brave, and generous and believes strongly in the magic of Christmas.
The Lonely Child:
A boy who comes from a poor area and has no friends. He boards the train with doubts and fears, but in the end, he receives a very special gift from Santa.
The know-it-all:
A boy who thinks he is very smart and knows everything about the train, the North Pole, and Santa. He is arrogant, and impertinent and annoys the other passengers with his comments. I couldn't stand this kid.
The tramp:
A friendly character who accompanies the boy on the roof of the train. He asks him questions about his faith in Santa and shows him some wonders of the journey.
Santa Claus
The most awaited character by all who travel to the North Pole.
It is a magical and touching Christmas movie. The story is exciting and fun, and the characters are lovable. The movie also has an important message about believing in the magic of Christmas.
It is directed by Robert Zemeckis, who uses motion-capture technology to create a stunning visual experience. The characters are portrayed by real actors, but their movements are captured by special cameras and then animated by computer. The result is an animation that is realistic and fluid and creates a feeling of total immersion. The train is amazing.
The cast of the movie is headed by Tom Hanks, who plays several characters, including the driver and Santa. I was struck by the strong resemblance between the driver and Hanks.
The Polar Express is a perfect movie to watch with the family during Christmas. I assure you that it will bring joy, and happiness to all who see it.
I enjoyed it very much with my son. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it and if you have already seen it, well, see it again, it's worth it these Christmas days.

Debo ser sincero, esta película no la vi en su estreno en Venezuela allá por el 2004. La acabo de ver con mi hijo menor que pasa los 20 años.
Pues le puedo decir que si estás buscando una película navideña que te haga sentir bien junto a la familia, [Expreso Polar] es la película perfecta para ti.
En la noche de Navidad, un niño llamado Billy se despierta en su habitación, tratando de escuchar el sonido de las campanas del trineo de Santa. Sin embargo, a medida que pasa la noche, Billy comienza a dudar de la existencia de Santa Claus.
De repente, un ruido atronador lo sobresalta. Billy sale de su habitación y ve un tren rojo brillante parado frente a su casa. El tren es el Expreso Polar, un tren mágico que lleva a los niños al Polo Norte para conocer a Santa. La imagen del tren es majestuosa.
Billy sube al tren y conoce otros niños de todo el mundo. Juntos, viajan por el Ártico, donde viven aventuras increíbles.

Un personaje amistoso que acompaña al niño héroe en el techo del tren. Él le hace preguntas sobre su fe en Santa y le muestra algunas maravillas del viaje.
Santa:
El personaje más esperado por todos los que viajan al Polo Norte.
Es una película navideña mágica y conmovedora. La historia es emocionante y divertida, y los personajes son adorables. La película también tiene un mensaje importante sobre creer en la magia de la Navidad.
