El día de hoy les compartiré mi reseña de esta película de el director Martin Scorsese y la cual cuenta con un reparto excepcional, en ella nos sumergimos en una historia llena de misterio y confusión en donde debemos analizar perfectamente los sucesos para dar con la verdad y a veces es difícil lidiar y aceptar la verdad. Una película llena de sucesos misteriosos, suspenso y personajes intrigantes pero que cuenta con un final increíble. Así que sin más que decir, espero les guste y los invito a leerme! 🎬✨

Hablemos un poco sobre la trama, un investigador torturado por su pasado en la guerra y su compañero deben viajar a la isla Shutter, una isla en donde está ubicado el hospital con máxima seguridad para dementes criminales, con el propósito de investigar la extraña y misteriosa desaparición de una paciente muy peligrosa. Ambos detectives comienzan sus respectivas investigaciones pero se dan cuenta de que el lugar no es tan correcto como parece, puede que exista la posibilidad de que en aquel hospital ocurran cosas terribles.
La película estadounidense de género misterio y thriller policíaco cuenta con un reparto destacable con las actuaciones de Leonardo DiCaprio y Mark Ruffalo como personajes principales además también contamos con las actuaciones de Ben Kingsley, Max von Sydow, Michelle Williams, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson, entre otros más que se reunieron para caracterizar a estos complicados y torturados personajes quienes poco a poco revelarán la verdad sobre aquel hospital.

I took the initiative to start this film after deciding between some films directed by Martin Scorsese since I have not seen many of his and I wanted to start exploring his way of working, when I started the film I could notice the great quality of the scenes, the colors and the scenery seemed fantastic and although I am not a big fan of Neo noir style films this one captivated me by the way in which the events were developing, it does not feel heavy but on the contrary, every second begins to grow interest and anxiety for the need to know the truth of the whole situation. Leonardo DiCaprio who is not one of my favorite actors stood out completely with his performance in this movie and it was incredible to see how he developed his character from beginning to end, how he was physically showing all the symptoms and signs of his problems, his migraines and his pain of the past in addition to the flashbacks of his past.
The film has that dark and strange tinge because in some scenes it seems that some situations were not real and sometimes the memories of Inspector Teddy were very vivid, the aesthetics is excellent I could feel all the excitement of how the investigation is progressing, the excitement of collecting information and gradually be joining the events. It creates all the atmosphere of a psychological thriller that plays with the mind of the viewer, as it happened in my case, and while the story is developing my mind was constantly questioning all the information and characters, the film managed to perfectly play with the idea of believing how the story will end and the thought that it will be predictable but it was not so and Scorsese created a completely extraordinary ending that left me for a while thinking that maybe I had gone crazy hahahaha.
Tome la iniciativa de empezar está película luego de decidir entre algunas películas que dirigió Martin Scorsese ya que no he visto muchas de el y quise comenzar a explorar su forma de trabajar, al iniciar la película pude notar la gran calidad de las escenas, los colores y los escenarios me parecieron fantásticos y aunque no soy muy fanática de las películas al estilo Neo noir está me cautivo por la forma en la que se fueron desarrollando los eventos, no se siente pesada sino que al contrario, a cada segundo empieza a crecer el interés y la ansiedad por la necesidad de saber la verdad de toda la situación. Leonardo DiCaprio quien no es de mis actores favoritos se destacó completamente con su actuación en esta película y fue increíble ver cómo fue desarrollando a su personaje de principio a fin, cómo iba mostrando físicamente todos los síntomas y signos de sus problemas, sus migrañas y su dolor del pasado además de las escenas en retrospectiva de su pasado.
La película tiene ese tinte tenebroso y extraño ya que en algunas escenas parecieran que algunas situaciones no fueran reales y que a veces los recuerdos del inspector teddy fueran muy vividos, la estética es excelente pude sentir toda la emoción de como va avanzando la investigación, la emoción de ir recolectando información y poco a poco ir uniendo los sucesos. Crea toda la atmósfera de thriller psicológico que juega con la mente del espectador, cómo paso en mi caso, y mientras se va desarrollando la historia mi mente se encontraba constantemente cuestionando toda la información y a los personajes, la película logro perfectamente jugar con la idea de creer cómo terminará la historia y el pensamiento de que ésta será predecible pero no fue así y Scorsese creo un final completamente extraordinario que me dejó durante un rato pensando que quizás yo me había vuelto loca jajajaja.

Symbolism plays a great role here, since many scenes at the beginning of the film show us details that are essential to understand part of the ending.
It focuses a lot on the psychology of the character with a series of flashbacks and nightmares that are key to discover the truth about this character. It has a very good atmosphere that knows how to combine suspense with dramatic moments. You can appreciate the production, the photography and the dark atmosphere that can be felt in some scenes.
La trama parece ser simple pero no lo es, hay un giro en la historia que hace que los recuerdos de el detective Teddy se mezclen con la realidad generando desconfianza en la veracidad de ciertas informaciones, la banda sonora influye muchísimo en este tipo de momentos ya que se completamente con las emociones de nuestro protagonista y hace que no sea necesario que exista un diálogo para poder entender la situación. Aquí juega un gran papel el simbolismo ya que muchas escenas del inicio de la película nos muestran detalles que son esenciales para entender parte del final.
Se centra bastante en la psicología del personaje con una serie de flashbacks y pesadillas que son clave para ir descubriendo la verdad sobre este personaje. Tiene una muy buena atmosfera que sabe combinar el suspenso con los momentos dramáticos. Se puede apreciar bastante la producción, la fotografía y el oscuro ambiente que se puede sentir en algunas escenas.
With an exceptional cast it is a film that is really worth giving a chance, it is one of those films that at the end completely turns your brain and leaves you questioning everything that happened. With an original and perfectly executed story, it is a film that explores the mind and psychology where we can see how affected a person can be due to a traumatic event and how this is constantly reflected in his person just by carefully observing his body language. Perhaps it may be necessary to watch it twice as a recommendation as it would better appreciate the hidden details in each scene, better analyze the dialogues and understand the narrative of the story a little better, I still recommend it faithfully for anyone who wants to experience the confusion and the thrill of surprise when you get to the end of it.
Con un reparto excepcional es una película que realmente vale la pena darle una oportunidad, es de esas películas que al terminar te vuelvan completamente el cerebro y te dejan cuestionandote todo lo que ocurrió. Con una historia original y perfectamente ejecutada, es una película que explora la mente y la psicología en donde podemos ver cuan afectada puede estar una persona debido a un evento traumático y como esto se refleja constantemente en su persona solo observado cuidadosamente su lenguaje corporal. Quizás llegue a ser necesario verla dos veces como una recomendación ya que así se apreciarían mejor los detalles ocultos en cada escena, se analizarían mejor los diálogos y se comprendería un poco mejor la narrativa de la historia, igualmente la recomiendo fielmente para cualquiera que quiera experimentar la confusión y la emoción de la sorpresa cuando llegue al final de ella.
