Esta película ocurre en un tiempo pasado por supuesto que en Estados Unidos en la época de los 80 creo, Donde una adolescente solitaria con una familia disfuncional y sucesos como presenciar el asesinato de su madre han marcado su vida.

Su lugar favorito es el cementerio y va a este lugar luego de una fiesta que sale mal para ella, ahí observa una estatua de un chico muy atractivo y en medio del llanto pide estar con él. Una opción diferente pero en perspectiva igual que la versión original.

Lisa tiene una condición la cual la hace ser más solitaria, de poco hablar y le gusta estar en su cuarto hasta que a la mañana siguiente este chico revive gracias a un rayo y va a buscar a la chica que lloró sobre su tumba.

Lisa cree estar enamorada de otro chico, el tipo prototipo americano de chico popular pero al final se da cuenta que está enamorada de frankestein. Pero la vida y la muerte los separa, aun así encuentran la maneras de estar juntos más allá de la vida y en este caso el amor traspasó esa barrera… y colorín colorado este cuento a terminado!
