This is a good horror movie

Terrifier, a very little-known movie saga until the premiere of 'Terrifier 2' in 2022. I am a lover of horror games, movies, series, etc. Anything that is getting my heart to the limit of cardiac arrest is what I like the most. Terrifier was no exception, and although it is somewhat ironic that it started with 'Terrifier 2' thanks to the boom it had, after finishing that film I went straight to find the beginning of Terrifier, I wanted to know how this clown was born and the story behind it. However, both the first and the second films were brutal for me, maybe if you don't like gore I doubt you'll enjoy it, since they are especially bloody, especially Terrifier 2. My girlfriend, for example, didn't want to see them and I had to force her, obviously, she closed her eyes when Art started to dismember anyone who got in his way hahaha. Today I'm going to talk a little bit about how great Terrifier is to me, and why you should watch it.

Art The Clown is scary

Something that is essential in any horror movie is the aspect of the murderer, ghost, entity, psychopath, etc. Here in Terrifier for me it was a 10/10, Art The Clown is a really scary character, in my opinion, I have not seen any clown as scary as him, and I know there are many, but for example IT, for me it is not scary at all On the other hand, Art is, a character with a creepy face, black and rotten gums, and best of all, a really scary attitude. Art The Clown compared to other clowns doesn't speak, he just gestures as he should, he's a clown and he laughs a lot, his annoyed face is very good and it's quite scary. He also manages to laugh at some gestures, he looks like a mime. It is incredible how they managed to scare us without the clown being able to speak, only with gestures and a very terrifying face, besides that Art is a small clown, he is not like other murderers who are huge. That's cool too.

A suspenseful plot

Something important is the plot, in any movie it is the most important because if it is boring it will make you remove it immediately, here from the beginning to the end we have terror and a lot of suspense, especially seeing two somewhat drunk girls come to eat at one pizzeria and meet this clown who is following them, the worst comes when he starts making gestures and the girls tremble with fear. The beginning of the movie is pretty shady too, I remember Art being a super random clown, he filled the restroom of the restaurant with his feces and then he gets kicked out of the restaurant by the owner, but when the girls leave boom, Art comes back and turns them to mush. Art The Clown's way of killing is gore at its best, he will never stop beating them until their faces are destroyed and their organs come out, that's the essence of Art in the ENTIRE movie.

Very good performance, but with some details

The whole movie revolves around Art The Clown, of course, but we also have two leading girls, Tara and Victoria, who get lost in a building thanks to the urge to urinate, obviously, the clown chases them and then they find him, almost all of them. the movie revolves around that fucking building, and I was wondering if it was really an apartment building or a maze XD. When the girls try to escape they get very confused, I suppose the terror that a fucking clown is chasing them gives them, but something that did not convince me is that they seem very stupid and disoriented, and it's not just me saying it, many people have questioned the intelligence of these two girls, that is, it seems that only Art is the only character with intelligence, although it is logical that he is a killing machine, they had to have fought more to make the experience better, yes, a scene It was very terrifying right there, where a girl meets an old woman with serious mental problems, and that same old woman cuddles Art as if it were a baby.

Scenography, special effects, and crazy atmosphere

One thing we all know is that Terrifier was never a box office hit until the boom of 2022, and it wasn't a million-dollar movie behind it either. So the effort that the producers made to produce such a well-made film without having such a budget seems admirable to me. The same with the special effects, I've seen slasher movies, and the truth is disgusting, very false effects and nothing looks good. Here all the scenes are crazy, very well done, and make you doubt if they are real or fake XD. The setting is always dark, I think it was never daytime in the film, everything takes place at night/early morning and that is more scary. The film's soundtrack is generally good, as are the audio effects. I would really die to hear Art's voice, it must be kind of creepy. He even laughs without even making a fucking sound hahaha.

Conclusion

This is a movie for people with a strong stomach, I love gore and for me, it was OK at all times to see strong scenes, the plot is fine, it's not something very elaborate but you always live with that terror until you reach the end of the movie. movie, so it's fine on that side. Same thing with Art's performance, he's the best clown I've ever seen, and I know maybe I'm exaggerating, but it's amazing to me to see him be so scary in such a simple way. Terrifier 2 is amazing too, I'll bring you a review about it soon, oh, and there's also a movie after these last two, it's called "All Hallows' Eve" in English and "El Payaso Siniestro" in Spanish. I've never seen it, I literally just realized it existed, so this won't be a review in order, it'll just be the order in which I've seen them hahaha.

Esto si es una buena película de terror

Terrifier, una saga de películas muy poco conocida hasta el estreno de 'Terrifier 2' en el año 2022. Yo soy amante de juegos de terror, películas, series, etc. Todo lo que sea llegar mi corazón al limite de un paro cardíaco es lo que más me gusta. Terrifier no fue la excepción, y aunque es algo irónico que haya empezado por 'Terrifier 2' gracias al boom que tuvo, luego de terminar esa película me fui directo a buscar el comienzo de Terrifier, quería saber cómo nació este payaso y la historia detrás, sin embargo tanto la primera y la segunda película fueron brutales para mi, tal vez si no te gusta el gore dudo que la disfrutes, ya que son especialmente sangrientas, sobretodo Terrifier 2. Mi novia por ejemplo no quiso verlas y la tuve que obligar, obviamente ella cerraba sus ojos cuándo Art empezaba a desmembrar cualquier persona que se le cruce en su camino hahaha. Hoy les hablaré un poco de lo grandiosa que es Terrifier para mí, y el porqué deberías verla.

Art The Clown es aterrador

Algo que es primordial en cualquier película de terror es el aspecto del asesino, fantasma, ente, psicópata, etc. Aquí en Terrifier para mi fue un 10/10, Art The Clown es un personaje realmente tenebroso, a mi parecer no he visto ningún payaso tan aterrador como el, y sé que hay muchos, pero por ejemplo IT, para mi no es nada tenebroso, en cambio Art si que lo es, un personaje con una cara escalofriante, encías negras y putrefactas, y lo mejor, una actitud realmente tenebrosa. Art The Clown a comparación de otros payasos, no habla, solo hace gestos y como debería ser, es un payaso y se ríe bastante, su cara de molestia es muy buena y da bastante miedo. También llega a dar algo de risa algunos gestos, parece un mimo. Es increíble como lograron darnos miedo sin que el payaso pudiera hablar, solo con gestos y una cara muy aterradora, además que Art es un payaso pequeño, no es cómo otros asesinos que son inmensos. Eso también está cool.

Una trama repleta de suspenso

Algo importante es la trama, en cualquier película es lo más importante, ya que si es aburrida te hará quitarla de inmediato, aquí desde que comienza hasta que termina tenemos terror y mucho suspenso, sobretodo ver a dos chicas algo borrachas llegar a comer a una pizzeria y encontrarse con este payaso que las anda siguiendo, lo peor viene cuándo empieza a hacerle gestos y las chicas tiemblan del miedo. El comienzo de la película es bastante turbio también, recuerdo que Art es un payaso super random, llenó el baño del restaurante de sus heces y luego lo sacan del restaurante el dueño, pero cuando las chicas se van boom, Art regresa y los vuelve papilla. La forma de matar de Art The Clown es gore en su máxima expresión, nunca parará de pegarles hasta que tengan la cara destruida y los órganos salgan a relucir, esa es la esencia de Art en TODA la película.

Actuación muy buena, pero con algunos detalles

Toda la película gira en torno a Art The Clown, lógico, pero también tenemos dos chicas protagonistas, Tara y Victoria, ellas se pierden en un edificio gracias a las ganas de orinar, obviamente el payaso las persigue y luego se lo encuentran, casi toda la película gira en torno a ese puto edificio, que me preguntaba si realmente era un edificio de viviendas o un laberinto XD. Las chicas al intentar escapar se confunden mucho, supongo el terror que les dá al estar un puto payaso persiguiendolas, pero algo que no me terminó de convencer es que parecen muy tontas y desorientadas, y no solo lo digo yo, muchas personas han cuestionado la inteligencia de estas dos chicas, o sea, parece ser que solo Art es el único personaje con inteligencia, si bien es lógico que es una máquina de matar, tuvieron que haber dado más pelea para así hacer mejor la experiencia, eso sí, una escena muy terrorífica fue ahí mismo, en dónde una chica se encuentra con una vieja con graves problemas mentales, y esa misma vieja acurruca a Art como si de un bebé se tratase.

Escenografía, efectos especiales y ambientación de locos

Algo que todos sabemos es que Terrifier nunca fué taquillera hasta el boom del año 2022, y que tampoco fué una película con millones de dólares tras ella. Así que el esfuerzo que hicieron los productores por sacar una película tan bien hecha sin tener tanto presupuesto me parece admirable. Lo mismo con los efectos especiales, he visto películas del género slasher y la verdad son un asco, efectos muy falsos y nada queda bien. Aquí todas las escenas son una locura, muy bien hechas y te hacen dudar de si son reales o falsas XD. La ambientación siempre es oscura, creo que nunca fué de día en la película, todo transcurrión de noche/madrugada y eso dá más miedo. La banda sonora de la película en general es buena, al igual que los efectos auditivos. Realmente moriría por escuchar la voz de Art, debe ser algo escalofriante. Incluso se ríe sin siquiera emitir un puto sonido hahaha.

Conclusión

Esto es una película para personas con estómago fuerte, yo amo el gore y para mi estuvo OK en todo momento ver escenas fuertes, la trama está bien, no es que sea algo muy elaborado pero siempre vives con ese terror hasta llegar al final de la película, por lo tanto está bien por ese lado. Lo mismo digo con la actuación de Art, es el mejor payaso que he visto, y sé que tal vez estoy exagerando, pero para mí es increíble verlo dar tanto miedo de una forma tan simple. Terrifier 2 es increíble también, pronto les traeré una reseña acerca de ella, ah, y también hay una película tras de estas últimas dos, se llama "All Hallows' Eve" en inglés y en español "El Payaso Siniestro". Nunca la he visto, literal acabo de darme cuenta que existía, así que esto no será una reseña por orden, solo será el órden en que las he visto hahaha.
