Mi nombre es Sara, no puedes dejar de verla [ESP - ENG]
Feliz martes mis queridos amigos de Hive, el día de hoy les quiero compartir la reseña de una película que pude disfrutar el fin de semana. Se trata de: Mi nombre es Sara. Una película dirigida por el cineasta Steven Oritt y protagonizada por la actriz Zuzanna Surowy.
La película nos cuenta la historia de una niña judía que con solo 11 años, sobrevivió al Holocausto, escapando de su lugar natal Korets, utilizando la identidad de su mejor amiga cristiana. Y luego de un largo y peligroso viaje, llega a un pequeño pueblo de Ucrania en donde comienza a buscar trabajo y un techo.
Una pareja de granjeros (El hombre mucho mayor que su esposa, y ambos estaban juntos ya aue era un matrimonio arreglado) deciden contratar a la joven para que les sirva como criada y niñera de sus dos hijos, y es allí donde vemos todo lo que debe de pasar Sara para ocultar que es Judía. Esto lo puede hacer ya que su historia era "respaldada" por ambos esposos.
Sara permaneció 3 años con ellos y en este tiempo ambos granjeros descubrieron su verdadera identidad,primero la mujer, pero Sara también descubrió secretos de la pareja que hicieron que no la delataran ante los nazis. De hecho, con el tiempo algunas cosas cambiaron.
Lo que más me impresiona de la película es que estaba basada en una historia real, y cada que va avanzando, se puede observar todos las cosas tristes e injustas que pasaron durante el tiempo en Guerra.
La misma en 2020 ganó el premio del público por mejor narrativa en el Festival de Cine Judío de Miami. Pero aún con esto, la película no es muy conocida, pero eso sí, vale totalmente la pena, vas a tener muchas emociones y no se te va a hacer para nada aburrida.

Happy Tuesday my dear friends of Hive, today I want to share with you the review of a movie that I enjoyed over the weekend. It is about: My Name is Sara. A film directed by filmmaker Steven Oritt and starring actress Zuzanna Surowy.
The film tells the story of a Jewish girl who, at only 11 years old, survived the Holocaust, escaping from her native Korets, using the identity of her best Christian friend. After a long and dangerous journey, she arrives in a small Ukrainian village where she starts looking for a job and a roof over her head.
A couple of farmers (the man much older than his wife) decide to hire the young woman to serve them as a maid and nanny for their two children, and it is there where we see all that Sara must go through to hide that she is Jewish.
Sara stayed 3 years with them and in this time both farmers discovered her true identity, but Sara also discovered secrets of the couple that made them not to betray her to the Nazis.
What impresses me most about the film is that it was based on a true story, and as it progresses, you can see all the sad and unjust things that happened during the time of the war.
In 2020 it won the audience award for best narrative at the Miami Jewish Film Festival. But even with this, the film is not very well known, but it is totally worth it, you will have a lot of emotions and it will not be boring at all.

No conocía está película, pero se ve una historia impactante, más sabiendo que se trata de un hecho real y lo qué tiene que hacer uno para sobrevivir en aquellos tiempos.

Yo no había escuchado antes de esta película aunque me parece interesante, me gustan los films que están inspirados en los tiempos del holocausto y la segunda guerra mundial.
Es una película que no es muy conocida pero de verdad vale la pena verla, debería haber recibido más reconocimiento.
