Feliz inicio de semana mis queridos amigos de Hive, el día de hoy quiero compartir una película estrenada en 1994 y basada en una historia real. Se trata de: La lotería del amor.
Este film se trata de una comedia romántica que nos enseña a dos extraños que se verán unidos por un boleto de lotería que resulta ganador.
It Could Happen to you (Lotería del amor) es una comedia romántica de los años 90, dirigida por Andrew Bergman y protagonizada por Nicolas Cage y Bridget Fonda.
En su cast podemos encontrar a:
Rosie Perez, Wendell Pierce, Isaac Hayes, Víctor Rojas, Seymour Cassel y Stanley Tucci.
Un policía de la ciudad de New York llega a una cafetería con su compañero, luego de tomar unas tazas de café deciden ordenar su almuerzo y son atendidos por la camarera Yvonne (Bridget Fonda), cuando ambos terminan de ordenar, reciben una llamada y deben de salir a trabajar.
Cuando el policía Charlie Lang (Nicolas Cage) se apresura a pagar la cuenta, nota que en su billetera solo hay dinero suficiente para cancelar los cafés pero no para la propina de la agradable mesera, luego de unas cuantas risas entre ambos Charlie saca un boleto de lotería y le dice a Yvonne, que si el boleto resulta ganador dividirá entre ambos el premio y en caso contrario, al día siguiente volverá por ella para entregarle su propina.
Esa noche Charlie y su esposa Muriel Lang (Rosie Perez) encienden la televisión y ambos notan que tienen los números ganadores de la lotería, luego de muchos gritos de emoción y alegría, Charlie recuerda la promesa que hizo horas antes y es aquí donde ambos deben decidir si su bondad es suficiente para compartir el dinero o no.
Más allá de ser una película romántica, la misma transmite un bonito mensaje, y es como el dinero puede cambiar a las personas. La ambición puede hacer que por querer tenerlo todo se puede llegar a no tener nada.
Y por el contrario, como se puede ser bondadoso y generoso a pesar de las adversidades.
Como les comenté es una historia basada en la vida real de dos amigos que ganan la lotería juntos y comparten la ganancia, dividiendo lo obtenido por mitad.
En una entrevista que dió Robert Cunningham (el hombre en la vida real). dijo: “He sido una persona sencilla toda mi vida. Si digo que haré algo, lo hago. Espero que el dinero nunca me cambie”.
Aunque es una película de los 90’ debo admitir que no había escuchado hablar de ella, es por eso que trato de hacer una reseña sin incluir muchos spoilers y que ustedes puedan disfrutar de ella tanto como yo.

A New York City cop arrives at a diner with his partner, after having a few cups of coffee they decide to order lunch and are served by the waitress Yvonne (Bridget Fonda), when they both finish ordering, they receive a call and must leave for work.
When the cop Charlie Lang (Nicolas Cage) rushes to pay the bill, he notices that in his wallet there is only enough money to cancel the coffees but not for the tip of the nice waitress, after a few laughs between the two Charlie takes out a lottery ticket and tells Yvonne, that if the ticket is a winner he will divide the prize between them and if not, the next day he will return for her to give her his tip.
That night Charlie and his wife Muriel Lang (Rosie Perez) turn on the television and both notice that they have the winning lottery numbers, after many shouts of excitement and joy, Charlie remembers the promise he made hours before and it is here where both must decide if their kindness is enough to share the money or not.
Beyond being a romantic film, it conveys a beautiful message, and that is how money can change people. Ambition can make that by wanting to have everything you can end up having nothing.
And on the contrary, how you can be kind and generous despite adversity.
As I said, it is a story based on the real life of two friends who win the lottery together and share the winnings, dividing the proceeds in half.
In an interview Robert Cunningham (the man in real life) said: “I've been a simple person all my life. If I say I'll do something, I do it. I hope money will never change me".
Although it is a movie from the 90's I must admit that I had not heard of it, that's why I try to do a review without including many spoilers and that you can enjoy it as much as I did.

No he visto esta película, el actor Nicolas Cage no esta dentro de mis actores preferidos. A mi me gustan las comedias románticas, la voy a buscar. Gracias por la recomendación

Está película es un clásico, hace poco ví una escena por tiktok, la verdad es muy bonita, vale la pena verla, que bueno que la vistes, saludos.
