Yellowstone Series Review 2024: Go and watch it Now!
Among the hundreds of series that are out each year, some get a cut, some continue because they have some people's backs, some continue because they are actually good and people watch them and some are phenomenal. Yellowstone is one of those series that falls under the "Phenomenal" type of series and for good reasons.
To tell you the truth i don't even remember if i have already reviewed this series but after watching the final episode of season 5 i had to write about this show and urge all of you to watch it.
So Yellowstone was released back in 2018 and so far there are 5 seasons with a total of 53 episodes. Note that there will definitely be another season and in my opinion, it should be the last one as the show has reached a certain point. To begin with, the show was created by John Linson producer of Sons of Anarchy and Taylor Sheridan who i thought that he was a random actor but turns out the guy is one of the writers behind the series, behind Tulsa King, Mayor of KingsTown, Sicario etc etc. The main star of the show is Kevin Costner so with just these people you know it will be good.
Plot
Now without trying to spoil this is a type of Western where we are introduced to a ranching family in Montana with John Dutton (Kevin Costner) being let's say the boss. So John tries to keep up with the changes having one of the biggest if not the biggest ranch in the area and along with his kids who are grown-ups already, they try to survive and fend off the "enemies".
So the ranch is for generations in the Dutton families but they now face multiple let's say, enemies. From Indians that want the land "back" to big corporations that also want it for their own purposes. Will they manage to keep their family's legacy or not?
What i Liked and what i Didn't
Now there are way too many things that i like in that series, to be honest. First of all we get to see a Western type of series but in today's time, so we get to see all of these people and how they did evolve all these years. The whole rancher's thing is pretty accurate in terms of what's really going on and in every episode we get to see their everyday lives and thus have an idea of what they've been through each day and what a difficult job it is. How important as well.
Besides that, we get to see once again quite realistically what every let's say "team" has in mind and how they try to complete their goals. For instance, we have the ranchers and Indians who share a lot of similarities but differences as well and then we have the multinational corporations that only in terms of profits without caring about nature itself.
Finally, the sceneries are amazing and the actors are damn awesome. This is a series on of the few to be honest where i can see character development at a point where we don't care that much about John Dutton but we want to see how things will end up with everyone else. Note that by watching this series you will definitely come closer to nature as well!
Go and watch it now!!
