Dear Santa 2024 Movie Review
Christmas is over and the new year is already here, see what i did there? It's never too late for a Christmas movie through, especially when Jack Black is in it. In general watching movies with Jack Black, one can expect that he/she will likely have some fun but it won't be the movie of the year or a masterpiece. School of Rock was though. Anyway, this is a movie that was released on 25 November, literally one month before Christmas, let's start with the plot now!
Plot
The plot is pretty straightforward. It's Christmas, we got a young boy named Liam Turner who has a speech disorder, he has only one friend and in general, his family is worrying about him. Also, his family has issues and is about to file for divorce.
Even though he is not that young to believe in Santa he still has some hopes and like each year he emails letting him know what he wants. He makes a minor mistake though. Instead of sending it to Santa though, we wrote "To Satan" so guess who arrived at his home, Satan played by Jack Black.
So Jack Black made a suggestion to him. He can have 3 wishes, anything that he wants in exchange for his soul! So the whole movie is around the wishes of Liam and how these wishes affect him and the lives of everyone around him.
Good and Bad
Honestly, this is a Christmas movie that you can enjoy watching but don't expect anything much. Some jokes are funny, some aren't. I like Jack Black, most of the times he is playing himself and i like that. The idea of Satan instead of Santa was funny and unique but don't expect any plot twist, or something extremely interesting.
It's a movie to kill time, watch with your kids or something, or simply to have something on the TV or PC when eating. It may seem harsh but i would give it a 5/10. Maybe if i was a kid and watching this movie, i would have liked it a lot, but not at my current age! Btw have you watched it?

Like is like a movie worth watching. I can already imagine how interesting it would turn out for Liam and all around him. Nicely done.🌺
It's a simple movie, I liked the concept but the execution was pretty mediocre, still, it's entertaining and I love Jack Black
