Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (spa/eng)

Se dice que los gatos tienen 9 vidas, pero nuestro heroico gato ya ha gastado 8 de sus vidas poniéndose en riesgo una y otra vez sin entender lo que hace valiosa a la vida. Ahora buscará una estrella que supuestamente cumple cualquier deseo y así restaurar todas sus vidas, conocerá nuevos enemigos y se encontrará con aliados que lo ayudarán en este viaje.

Es difícil no recomendar esta película ya que no se complica en ser más de lo que es, una historia divertida que busca entretener con las ocurrencias de sus personajes. De los mismos creadores de sagas como Shrek, Como Entrenar a Tu Dragón y Kung Fu Panda, esta cinta entiende perfectamente a su protagonista al darle un excelente arco de personaje, que no solo respeta su esencia original sino que muestra otra cara que nunca habíamos visto en él.

La animación es una maravilla visual, las técnicas de animación han avanzado mucho en los últimos 20 años, ya no solo tenemos el clásico 3d sino que ahora se ha logrado combinar perfectamente el 2d y 3d como hacen en esta cinta donde luce como un cuento de hadas en movimiento, las escenas donde son más que todo diálogos la animación es más tranquila, pero en escenas de acción pasa a una animación más exagerada y llamativa muy caricaturesca que le da mucha vida a la cinta.

En las películas de Shrek gato siempre ha sido un personaje secundario muy carismático y entretenido, Pero en el que casi no se profundizaba ya que los arcos principales siempre se centraban en Shrek y Burro. El Gato con Botas es un personaje muy llamativo y energético que oculta una gran sensibilidad, esto lo hace un gran personaje secundario, pero se debe trabajar mucho en su desarrollo para que se vuelva el protagonista de su propia historia. La primera película aunque es muy buena no logro profundizar tanto en sus personajes, está lo logro hacer perfectamente, vemos a gato ser muy narcisista lo que le impide conectar con algo más que el mismo.

Los personajes secundarios están muy bien hechos ya que resultan muy interesantes y quieres saber más de ellos a medida que la película avanza, Kitty patitas suaves y Perro combinan muy bien con la trama, y los villanos como El Lobo, Jack Horner y Ricitos de Oro y Los Tres Ositos son muy buenos personajes también.

Hablando de los villanos me sorprende como logran darles sus momentos a los tres villanos, ya que ninguno opaca al otro y tampoco resultan decepcionantes, cada uno es un tipo de villano distinto y tienen motivaciones distintas, lo que le da variedad a la historia. Lo mejor es que todos los arcos se relacionan al gato de una u otra forma, haciendo que el último acto sea de lo mejor de la historia.

La película es excelente, pero no la recomendaría para niños ya que considero que el conflicto que enfrenta El Gato es muy complejo como para que un niño lo entienda, al menos en mi opinión, porque es como un conflicto sobre al llegar a cierta edad y tener miedo de seguir adelante y sentir que todo lo que has hecho no es suficiente. Por eso digo que es muy específico para que un niño lo entienda , por lo que yo opino que es de esas cintas que se deben ver más de una vez para apreciar todos los detalles.

Es una película excelente que sabe aprovechar todas sus virtudes, ofrece una gran historia con momentos emocionantes, emotivos y otros que resultan graciosos, pero los que es seguro es que es una historia emotiva que deja una huella en el corazón de todo el que la vea.

From the same creators of sagas like Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda, this film perfectly understands its protagonist by giving him an excellent character arc, which not only respects his original essence but also shows another side we had never seen in him before.

The animation is a visual marvel, animation techniques have advanced a lot in the last 20 years, we no longer only have the classic 3d but now they have managed to perfectly combine 2d and 3d as they do in this film where it looks like a fairy tale in motion, the scenes where they are mostly dialogues the animation is calmer, but in action scenes it goes to a more exaggerated and striking animation very cartoonish that gives a lot of life to the film.

In the Shrek movies Puss in Boots has always been a very charismatic and entertaining secondary character, but in which was almost not deepened since the main arcs always focused on Shrek and Donkey. Puss in Boots is a very striking and energetic character that hides a great sensitivity, this makes him a great secondary character, but a lot of work should be done in his development so that he becomes the protagonist of his own story. The first movie, although it is very good, did not manage to go so deep into his characters, this one manages to do it perfectly, we see Puss in Boots being very narcissistic which prevents him from connecting with something more than himself.

The supporting characters are very well done as they are very interesting and you want to know more about them as the movie progresses, Kitty soft paws and Dog combine very well with the plot, and the villains like El Lobo, Jack Horner and Goldilocks and The Three Bears are very good characters as well.

Speaking of the villains, I'm surprised how they manage to give their moments to the three villains, since none of them overshadows the other and none of them are disappointing, each one is a different type of villain and has different motivations, which gives variety to the story. The best part is that all the arcs relate to the cat in one way or another, making the last act one of the best of the story.

The movie is excellent, but I wouldn't recommend it for children because I think the conflict that El Gato faces is too complex for a child to understand, at least in my opinion, because it's like a conflict about reaching a certain age and being afraid to move on and feeling that everything you've done is not enough. That's why I say it's too specific for a child to understand, so I think it's one of those films that you have to watch more than once to appreciate all the details.
