Extraction 2 - The blonde Rambo on the attack again EN/ES.

One of the most surprising things I have seen in Chris Hemsworth's career is undoubtedly his role in the movie Extraction in 2020. Since it completely changes the vision that you have about him as an actor, because we are used to see him in a role of a funny hero in Marvel movies or even as a lout in other movies like Vacation from 2015. But a rather serious and even a bit dark movie from this actor had not gone further than the second installment of the Thor saga.

But then Chris Hemsworth came along with this movie in 2020 where he was a mercenary who rescued people for large sums of money, totally changed the paradigm or the thought we had about this actor. He went from being a simple Marvel clown to an actor capable of playing a very serious and bad ass role. And the result was simply wonderful giving us a movie that will be remembered as the best of 2020.

Una de las cosas más sorprendentes que he visto en la carrera de Chris Hemsworth sin duda es su papel en la película extraction del 2020. Ya que cambia completamente la visión que tiene sobre él como actor, porque estamos acostumbrados a verlo en un papel de héroe chistoso en las películas de Marvel o incluso como un patan en otras películas como Vacation del 2015. Pero una película bastante seria y hasta un poco oscura de este actor no había ido más allá que la segunda entrega de la saga de Thor.

Pero luego Chris Hemsworth llegó con esta película en el 2020 donde era un mercenario que rescataba personas por grandes sumas de dinero, cambió totalmente el paradigma o el pensamiento que teníamos sobre este actor. Pasó de ser un simple payasito de Marvel hacer un actor capaz de interpretar un papel bastante serio y rudo muy bad ass. Y el resultado fue simplemente maravilloso dándonos una película que será recordada como las mejores del 2020.

left us with a rather disturbing ending, as our main protagonist was seriously wounded in the neck and fell into a river so we had to wait three long years to find out what happened to Tyler. And well recently the second installment of this movie has come out promising much more action much more of what Chris Hemsworth has to offer to this character. And that's why I would like to review this movie because in my opinion although it didn't surpass the first one because I feel it was a little weak in some things, it did leave us with excellent action scenes, memorable performances and a foot for a third or fourth installment.

This second part of Extraction is not very different from the previous one, it starts showing us Tyler's recovery process after being shot in the neck with an AK-47. We can see that he survived the fall from a very high bridge and was picked up by his companions and taken to a rehab clinic then taken to a house far away in a forest in Austria to recover and make a new life. But in this process where Tyler wants to be happy he is interrupted by his ex-wife asking for his help to rescue his ex-sister-in-law from the clutches of a dangerous mobster and also to rescue his two nephews.

Pero algo que recuerdo muy bien de Extraction 1, fue que aquella primera entrega de nos dejó un final bastante inquietante, ya que a nuestro protagonista principal lo hirieron gravemente en el cuello y cayó en un río así que tuvimos que esperar tres largos años para saber qué pasó con Tyler. Y bueno recientemente ha salido la segunda entrega de esta película prometiendo mucha más acción mucho más de lo que Chris Hemsworth tiene que ofrecer a este personaje. Y por eso me gustaría hacerle una reseña a esta película ya que en mi opinión aunque no superó a la primera porque siento que estuvo un poco floja en algunas cosas, si nos dejó excelentes escenas de acción actuaciones memorables y un pie para una tercera o cuarta entrega.

Esta segunda parte de Extraction no es muy diferente a la anterior, comienza mostrándonos el proceso de recuperación de Tyler luego de ser baleado en el cuello con un ak-47. Podemos ver que sobrevivió a la caída desde un puente muy alto y fue recogido por sus compañeros y llevado a una clínica de rehabilitación luego lo llevan a una casa muy lejana en un bosque de Austria para que se recupere y haga una nueva vida. Pero en ese proceso donde Tyler quiere ser feliz lo interrumpe su ex esposa pidiéndole ayuda para que rescate a su ex cuñada de las garras de un peligroso mafioso y además que rescate a sus dos sobrinos.

Now my opinion about this movie is quite positive because first of all it keeps the same line of action of the first installment. In Extraction 1 we can see how Tyler kills more than 100 people on his way to rescue the son of the Indian mobster. And this movie is no exception even though I don't count them I think they surpassed the previous movie. So those same heart racing action sequences hold up pretty well and even get better. Also I find it extremely interesting how Tyler despite being a mere human resists better than the rock and Toretto as they shoot him stab him stab him cut him and even throw fire on him and Tyler without any hindrance continues to fight fiercely.

Tyler primeramente por su sentido del deber y también por el deber que tiene con la familia accede a esta misión. Pero no la tendrá nada fácil ya que el esposo de su ex cuñada forma parte de esa organización criminal muy peligrosa llamada los nagazi, unos mafiosos despiadados que asesinan secuestran extorsionan y trafican con droga. Además el esposo de su ex cuñada está preso por haber asesinado a un agente de la DEA así que Tyler la tiene bien complicada para poder cumplir esta misión.

¿Lo logrará qué retos tendrá que enfrentar Tyler y qué sacrificios conllevará a completar con éxito esta misión? Puedes descubrirlo viendo está emocionante segunda entrega de Extraction.

Ahora mi opinión sobre esta película es bastante positiva ya que primeramente se mantiene la misma línea de acción de la primera entrega. En extraction 1 podemos ver como Tyler asesina a más de 100 personas en su camino a rescatar El hijo del mafioso de la india. Y esta película no es la excepción aunque no las contabilice yo creo que superaron a la película anterior. Así que esas mismas secuencias de acción que te aceleran el corazón se mantienen bastante bien e incluso se mejoran. Además me parece sumamente interesante como Tyler a pesar de ser un simple humano resiste mejor que la roca y Toretto ya que le disparan lo apuñalan le cortan e incluso hasta le tiran fuego encima y Tyler sin ninguna impedimento sigue luchando ferozmente.

Zurab is a powerful Georgian mafia boss who is ruthless and violent due to the wounds that have the past because as we are told in the film He and his brother (Tyler's former brother-in-law) were raised in the midst of the Georgian war where they saw and lived many horrible things and where also his uncle after rescuing them from that situation got them into the world of organized crime founded by Tyler. He got them into the world of organized crime and founded his powerful mafia that even according to the film ended with much of the Armenian mafia so this leader of this mafia is extremely ruthless, violent and ambitious as well as being bloodthirsty and knowing that Tyler managed to kill his brother swears revenge until the end or as it says in the movie: Until the last drop of blood.

So we have a villain with strong and real motives we see that revenge is the same factor that was used in this installment as we know in the first one we see that the Indian kid that Tyler shoots on the bridge also had revenge for humiliating him so in this second installment revenge is the main motive of the villain to kill Tyler and his entire team.

Otra cosa que puedo destacar de esta segunda entrega es que siguen retratando muy bien cómo los errores del pasado siguen persiguiendo a Tyler ya que como pudimos notar en la primera entrega él siente remordimiento por haber abandonado a su hijo cuando pasaba por un mal momento de enfermedad ya que su niño falleció de cáncer y él no deseaba haberlo morir y por eso se fue al ejército. Así que al rescatar a sus sobrinos le vienen a la mente todos esos recuerdos y ese gran remordimiento aunque en cierta parte de la película logra superarlo y logra ver las cosas con una mejor convicción.

Además el villano de esta segunda entrega es mucho más despiadado que el mafioso indio de la primera entrega. Zurab es un poderoso jefe de la mafia georgiana que es despiadado y violento debido a las heridas que tienen el pasado ya que como se nos comenta en la película Él y su hermano (el ex cuñado de Tyler) fueron criados en medio de la guerra georgiana donde vieron y vivieron muchas cosas horribles y donde además su tío luego de rescatarlos de esa situación los metió al mundo del crimen organizado fundando así su poderosa mafia que incluso según la película acabó con gran parte de la mafia Armenia así que este líder de esta mafia es sumamente despiadado violento y ambicioso además de estar sediento de sangre ya que al saber que Tyler logró asesinar a su hermano jura venganza hasta el final o como dice en la pelicula: Hasta la ultima gota de sangre.

Así que tenemos a un villano con motivos fuertes y reales vemos que la venganza es el mismo factor que se utilizó en esta entrega como sabemos en la primera vemos que el niño indio que le dispara Tyler en el puente también tenía venganza por haberlo humillado así que en esta segunda entrega la venganza es el motivo principal del villano para asesinar a Tyler y a todo su equipo.

Another thing that I really liked about this movie were the action sequences were extremely impressive we can see for example Tyler using a 50 caliber to shoot down a helicopter we can see how Tyler resists Molotov cocktails and fights against hundreds of guards at once and we can even see how Tyler holds himself with one hand on the edge of a building from many floors even when he has been shot in the hand which is simply amazing. Also another thing I quite liked about the action sequences was when in the fight in the church with the mob boss they use what's around them to finish each other off.

Finally something that I also liked a lot is the bridge they give to more installments since as we can see this time the recruiting agent who contacted Tyler for this rescue mission at the end gives him the opportunity for more jobs with the agency rescuing targets so it is possible that we will see a third installment soon.

But as you see at the beginning something that I didn't like about the movie is that it didn't surpass the first one it was very different from the case of spider-man into the spider-verse, since I feel that this second part traction should have included more exciting things to be able to surpass its predecessor maybe a little flashback where he could finish with the boy who shot him or a little flashback where he talks with the boy that he rescued in the first installment.

Another thing is that the movie is taking a different direction from what the first installment wanted to show, as I feel that this movie is going towards what Fast and Furious is now.

For example this racing saga started with some simple people racing cars and running away from the police and now they save the whole planet from bombs and attacks with technological weapons. So what started as a simple mercenary rescuing people and with a strong connection between them leaving us a pretty impressive and full of feeling story becomes simply a story where Tyler must rescue someone for money and a very empty plot.In any case I feel it is something that can be improved for a third installment returning to the original and giving us a pretty excellent ending or a pretty epic saga as it was rambo Terminator or indestructibles.

Otra cosa que me gustó mucho de esta película fueron las secuencias de acción fueron sumamente impresionantes podemos ver por ejemplo a Tyler usando una calibre 50 para derribar a un helicóptero podemos ver como Tyler resiste a bombas Molotov y pelea contra cientos de guardias a la vez e incluso podemos ver como Tyler se sostiene con una sola mano al borde de un edificio desde muchísimos pisos incluso cuando le han disparado en la mano lo cual es simplemente sorprendente. Además otra cosa que me gustó bastante de las secuencias de acción fue cuando en la pelea en la iglesia con el jefe mafioso utilizan lo que hay a su alrededor para acabar el uno con el otro.

Por último algo que también me gustó mucho es el puente que le dan a más entregas ya que como podemos ver en esta ocasión el agente reclutador que contactó a Tyler para esta misión de rescate al final le da oportunidad para más trabajos con la agencia rescatando objetivos así que es posible que veamos pronto una tercera entrega.

Pero como ves al principio algo que no me gustó de la película es que no superó a la primera fue muy distinto al caso de spider-man into the spider-verse, ya que siento que estás segunda parte tracción ya que haber incluido a un más cosas emocionante para poder superar a su antecesor tal vez un pequeño flashback donde pudo acabar con el muchacho que le disparo o un pequeño flashback donde habla con el niño que rescató en la primera entrega.

Otra cosa es que la película está tomando un rumbo distinto a lo que la primera entrega quería mostrar, Ya que siento que esta película se está yendo hacia lo que rápidos y furiosos es ahora. Por ejemplo esta saga de carreras comenzó con unas simples personas corriendo carros y huyendo de la policía y ahora salvan el planeta entero de bombas y ataques con armas tecnológicas. Así que lo que comenzó como un simple mercenario rescatando personas y con una fuerte conexión entre ellos dejándonos una historia bastante impresionante y llena de sentimiento pasa a ser simplemente una historia donde Tyler debe rescatar a alguien por dinero y una trama muy vacía.

En todo caso siento que es algo que puede mejorar para una tercera entrega volviendo a lo original y dándonos un final bastante excelente o una saga bastante épica como lo fue rambo Terminator o los indestructibles.
