Lazy cats and abandoned balconies
Lisbon looks amazing from higher points, from which you can see a tight maze of buildings. The city is built on hills, so there are plenty of spots where you can get views like this. The old part has small houses that are so tight next to each other that you can hardly see the streets.
Some only allow narrow tuk-tuks or bikes. Cars will simply not fit there. This has its advantages; you can almost feel like you are transported to another era.
I have been walking along the narrow streets up and down and admiring the views. When you can see such big areas, you start to notice the contracts. Many old houses in very poor condition are slowly falling apart next to brand new or very well renovated ones.
You'd think that a city center is well maintained, but there are plenty of abandoned places that are left waiting for better days.

And then, among all the little houses and small balconies with potted pelargoniums, you see a gigantic church filled with art, ornaments, and expensive stones.
Contrasts.
Following one of the narrow roads to the lower parts of the city, I found these two furry fellas :)
They don't care about big buildings, tourists, flowers or churches.
They just chill waiting for the next meal their human slaves will serve them.
One was snoozing on a parked on the side of the road motorbike. He didn't even look at me when I was trying to take a few photos of him. The black one right next to it was watching him. I think he is jealous of the spot :p

very much different from the one here in my country. I think I was jealous of the cats that could enjoy the time, without a care of the surrounding. hahah

Beautiful densely populated city, beautiful architecture. The cat sleeps right outside, on the asphalt, which means it’s calm here.
In that part it was quite calm. Plus it was a very warm day so they were just chilling in the shadow.
Very nice black and white photos of the old city. Love to visit this place one day. So many old buildings from past glory.
Cats survived all the changes in history to tell stories to their younger generations. So, they become wise and ignore people!

You showed us about your city, indeed I have to admit that the city of Lisbon is one of the most crowded cities but I really like some of the buildings built on the hills it is very beautiful and I really enjoy it.
The tourists make it crowdy :p

Hahahaha.... They should be lazy because their human slaves love taking care of them. In my area, there are so many strays that do not even have a home.

Not really. He's a bit of both but when the energy is on, then it's impossible to catch a shot with him lol!
In one of the shots I see a crane working away. Fixing or replacing, out with the old. Such is life. Nothing beats monos to show contrasts. Nice shots.

How cool, how you tell it, to some extent, it resembles the contrasts I find in my city... however the grid or urban layout is so chaotic and at the same time, beautiful. In the disorder I find a beautiful harmony.
The cats are adorable and I loved the music.
I like walking around the old parts. It is a completely different experience and feel than the modern and spacious parts (which I like too).
