The Problem with Qimir and Osha's Relationship
I can understand why people would critique the Qimir and Osha relationship. I have many issues with it.
I think the breakneck pacing has really not helped in making their connection believable. It absolutely needed more time to breathe in order to justify Osha growing closer to someone who she should by all means hate.
I also think the show should be doing more to showcase the fact that Qimir is manipulating Osha, even if she doesn't necessarily realise it. You can pick up on it, but the presentation so far hasn't really done enough imo, which can set a dangerous precedent.
Like, I feel like what these people fail to realise is that people only get annoyed by these things when it's actually objectification.
Qimir's stripping serves a story purpose. He's showing himself in his most vulnerable state, because he knows that's the best way to manipulate Osha, but playing off her need for honesty. It isn't objectification because it serves a purpose. That would be the same even if Qimir was a woman.
What doesn't serve a purpose is just needless sexualisation, which is what people actually get annoyed about.
