My opinion about the film Atlas (ESP-ENG)

Atlas es una película de ciencia ficción cuya historia se centra en una brillante y misántropa analista de datos y contraterrorismo que desconfía profundamente de la inteligencia artificial a causa de una trágica pérdida que sufrió de niña. En una misión para salvar a la humanidad, la protagonista se da cuenta de que debe volver a confiar en la inteligencia artificial para capturar a un robot rebelde y arreglar todo el caos que ha generado. En esta película también encontrará acción, aventura y suspense, que no le aburrirán como espectador durante dos horas.
La vi hace poco y me impresionó la actuación de Jennifer López (Atlas Shepherd). Al principio de la película pensé que iba a ver más de lo mismo, ya que la guerra eterna entre la humanidad y las máquinas no es nada nuevo. Por eso tardé tanto en verla, pero resultó que Atlas es muy entretenida, como hacía tiempo que no veía en una película así. ¿Por qué? En primer lugar, es la primera película de ciencia ficción en la que veo actuar a Jennifer López. Creo que ese es el gancho que ha hecho que todo el mundo hable de esta película. Hay viajes espaciales y trata un problema que está creciendo en nuestros días, como es la inteligencia artificial y su uso inadecuado. En esta película, las máquinas pueden pensar por sí mismas y tener una deducción extremadamente genial sobre las cosas (como ya he dicho, nada nuevo, pero extremadamente interesante de ver). No es la mejor película de ciencia ficción, pero no te arrepentirás si te sientas a verla.
La película también aborda temas como los sentimientos familiares y la forma en que los expresamos y consideramos con respecto a diversas situaciones que nos suceden y nos afectan. Creo que Jennifer Lopez nos brindó una interpretación bastante buena. Recuerdo su película La madre (anterior a ésta) y no tiene nada que ver con Atlas; son totalmente diferentes. Eso habla mucho de su capacidad como actriz en varios géneros. Al principio, su interpretación no me pareció muy realista; quizá se deba al guión. Creo que hicieron que los personajes más importantes de la película fueran las máquinas, porque ¿qué harían los humanos en su búsqueda fuera de la Tierra sin ellas?
Faltaron las buenas acrobacias de acción que siempre llaman la atención en este tipo de producciones. El director de la película Brad Peyton nos trasladó a grandes escenarios con buenos efectos visuales, pero no estuvo acompañado de un buen guión, muy artificial en mi opinión (guión: Aron Eli Coleite). Este es el mayor problema de la película, porque la verdad es que el General Boothe (interpretado por Mark Strong) nunca me resultó convincente.
En general, es una película entretenida, fácil de entender y que consigue ser interesante por el tema que trata. Sin embargo, no vayas a verla con grandes expectativas de encontrar algo original, porque no lo encontrarás en ninguna escena.

Atlas is a science fiction film whose story centers on a brilliant and misanthropic data and counter-terrorism analyst who deeply distrusts artificial intelligence because of a tragic loss she suffered as a child. On a mission to save humanity, the protagonist realizes that she must once again trust Artificial Intelligence in order to capture a rebellious robot and fix all the chaos it generated. In this film you will also find action, adventure and suspense, which will not bore you as a viewer for two hours.
I saw it recently and was impressed by Jennifer Lopez's performance (Atlas Shepherd). At the beginning of the film, I thought I was going to see more of the same, since the eternal war between mankind and machines is nothing new. That's why it took me so long to see it, but it turned out that Atlas is very entertaining, as I haven't seen in a movie like this for a long time. Why? First of all, it's the first sci-fi movie in which I see Jennifer Lopez acting. I think that's the hook that got everyone talking about this film. There is space travel and it deals with a problem that is growing in our days, such as artificial intelligence and its inappropriate use. In this film, machines can think for themselves and have an extremely cool deduction about things (as I said, nothing new, but extremely interesting to watch). It's not the best sci-fi movie, but you won't regret it if you sit down to watch it.
The film also addresses issues such as family feelings and the way we express and consider them with respect to various situations that happen to us and affect us. I think Jennifer Lopez gave us a pretty good performance. I remember her film The Mother (before this one) and it has nothing to do with Atlas; they are totally different. That speaks a lot about her performance as an actress in various genres. At first, I didn't think her performance was very realistic; maybe it's due to the script. I think they made the most important characters in the movie the machines, because what would the humans do in their quest off Earth without them?
I feel that the good action stunts that always catch the eye in this kind of productions were missing. The director of the film Brad Peyton moved us to great scenarios with good visual effects, but he was not accompanied by a good script, very artificial in my opinion (script: Aron Eli Coleite). This is the biggest problem of the film, because the truth is that General Boothe (played by Mark Strong) was never convincing to me.
In general, it is an entertaining film, easy to understand and that manages to be interesting because of the subject it deals with. However, don't go to see it with high expectations of finding something original, because you won't find it in any scene.
