Cuando tenía ocho años, me permitieron ver televisión por primera vez, aunque solo me dejaban ver películas animadas. La primera que realmente me gustó fue "La Sirenita", donde me sumergí en el mundo acuático de Ariel y su romance prohibido. Estoy segura de que a muchos les pasó lo mismo, soñar con ser parte del océano, tener una cola de pez y cantar bajo el mar.

Hello dear cinephiles, today I will tell you about the 21 movies that have left me in a great state of obsession over the years. Get ready to relive those moments when we were glued in front of the TV!
When I was eight years old, I was allowed to watch TV for the first time, although I was only allowed to watch animated movies. The first one I really liked was "The Little Mermaid", where I was immersed in the aquatic world of Ariel and her forbidden romance. I'm sure the same thing happened to many of you, dreaming of being part of the ocean, having a fish tail and singing under the sea.
Luego llegó "Pocahontas", una película que nos enseñó a luchar por el amor y la paz. Es una producción animada hermosa que inspira a los niños sentimientos profundos por el cuidado de la naturaleza.
Then came "Pocahontas", a movie that taught us to fight for love and peace. It is a beautiful animated production that inspires children with deep feelings about caring for nature.
Después descubrí "La Princesa Mononoke", en la que junto con Ashitaka busqué la armonía entre los humanos y los espíritus. Esta película avivó mi amor por los animales.
Then I discovered "Princess Mononoke," in which, together with Ashitaka, I sought harmony between humans and spirits. This movie rekindled my love for animals.
No puedo olvidar "Mulán", me encantó su historia, disfrazada de hombre para luchar en la guerra y traer honor a su familia. Mulán demostró que el género no define el coraje y despertó en mí el deseo de aprender artes marciales como ella.
I can't forget "Mulan", I loved her story, disguised as a man to fight in war and bring honor to her family. Mulan proved that gender does not define courage and awakened in me the desire to learn martial arts like her.
"Mujercitas" fue la primera película con actores que me permitieron ver cuando tenía diez años. En este filme conocí a las hermanas March mientras navegaban por la vida y el amor en la época de la Guerra Civil norteamericana. Después de verla, deseé tener hermanas como ellas y comencé a dibujar muñequitas parecidas a las protagonistas en las hojas de papel que me daba mi madre para pintar.
"Little Women" was the first movie with actors that I was allowed to see when I was ten years old. In this film I met the March sisters as they navigated life and love in the American Civil War era. After watching it, I wished I had sisters like them and began to draw little dolls resembling the main characters on the sheets of paper my mother gave me to paint.
Después llegó "Orgullo y Prejuicio" que me sumergió en la Inglaterra del siglo XIX y me enamoré de las intrigas románticas de los Bennet y los Darcy. Me fascinó tanto que también quise vestir trajes de época y encontrar mi propio Darcy.
Then came "Pride and Prejudice" which immersed me in 19th century England and I fell in love with the romantic intrigues of the Bennets and the Darcys. I was so fascinated that I also wanted to wear period costumes and find my own Darcy.

Luego está "Titanic", una película épica que me encantó. La historia de amor entre Rose y Jack es cautivadora. Además, descubrí a la cantante Celine Dion, que se convirtió en una de mis favoritas durante los finales de mi niñez y comienzos de mi adolescencia.
Then there is "Titanic", an epic movie that I loved. The love story between Rose and Jack is captivating. Also, I discovered the singer Celine Dion, who became one of my favorites during my late childhood and early adolescence.
Después apareció "El viaje de Chihiro", una película realmente entretenida en la que la protagonista lucha por salvar a sus padres. Ver ese mundo surrealista me hizo imaginar qué pasaría si me encontrara con un dragón, así que en aquel momento escribí un cuento sobre eso para mi clase de Español mientras cursaba la primaria.
Then came "Spirited Away," a really entertaining movie in which the main character fights to save her parents. Seeing that surreal world made me imagine what would happen if I met a dragon, so at the time I wrote a story about it for my Spanish class while I was in elementary school.
Tuve una etapa en la adolescencia en la que solo me gustaban las películas de vampiros, y entre ellas era fanática de todas las partes de "Underworld". Me encantaba la historia de Selene, una vampira que se enamora de un humano en medio de la guerra. Es una película intrigante y oscura, muy diferente de mi gustada: "La reina de los condenados" que tiende más hacia el terror y la melancolía.
I had a stage in my teens when I only liked vampire movies, and among them I was a fan of all parts of "Underworld". I loved the story of Selene, a vampire who falls in love with a human in the middle of a war. It is an intriguing and dark movie, very different from my favorite: "Queen of the Damned" which tends more towards horror and melancholy.
"El Castillo Ambulante" fue una aventura mágica preciosa junto a Sofi y Howl, y me obsesioné tanto con la historian que a mi primera laptop la llamé Sofi. Y, como todos los que vimos esta película, también quise tener un castillo ambulante móvil y electrodomésticos con personalidades propias.
"Howl´s Moving Castle" was a beautiful magical adventure with Sofi and Howl, and I became so obsessed with the story that I named my first laptop Sofi. And, like all of us who saw this movie, I also wanted to have a mobile traveling castle and appliances with personalities of their own.
"Dos rubias de pelo en pecho" fue la primera comedia que repetimos una y otra vez mis compañeros de aula y yo en la secundaria. Es una película muy divertida, así que cada vez que se reproducía en el aula generaba alegría y entretenimiento.
"White Chicks" was the first comedy that my classmates and I replayed over and over again in high school. It's a very funny movie, so every time it was played in the classroom it generated joy and entertainment.

Otras comedias que me obsesionaron durante la adolescencia fueron "Big Momma's House", muy entretenida y cómica, y "Miss Simpatía", donde comencé a descubrir sobre el empoderamiento femenino.

No puedo ocultar que estuve obsesionada con "Crepúsculo", el mundo de Edward Cullen, Bella Swan y Jacob Black mientras se enredan en un peligroso triángulo amoroso sobrenatural. ¿Quién no suspiró por vampiros brillantes y hombres lobos musculosos en esos tiempos.
I can't hide that I was obsessed with "Twilight," the world of Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black as they become entangled in a dangerous supernatural love triangle. Who didn't pine for sparkly vampires and muscular werewolves back in the day.
My favorite part.
Y, por supuesto, la saga de "Harry Potter", la historia de aventuras increíbles en Hogwarts mientras Harry y sus amigos luchaban contra Lord Voldemort. Cada adolescente se sentía parte del mundo mágico y esperábamos ansiosos la carta de aceptación a Hogwarts que nunca llegó.
And, of course, the "Harry Potter" saga, the story of incredible adventures at Hogwarts as Harry and his friends fought Lord Voldemort. Every teenager felt part of the magical world and we anxiously awaited the Hogwarts acceptance letter that never arrived.

"Los juegos del hambre" es una película ambientada en un futuro post-apocalíptico. Me encantaba el personaje principal Katniss y sentía una intensa conexión emocional con ella y Peeta. Este filme me impactó más porque reflexiona sobre la desigualdad, el poder y el valor de la resistencia en un mundo muy cruel.
"The Hunger Games" is a movie set in a post-apocalyptic future. I loved the main character Katniss and felt an intense emotional connection to her and Peeta. This film impacted me more because it reflects on inequality, power and the value of resistance in a very cruel world.

Y por último, "Cincuenta Sombras de Grey". Fue un mundo totalmente diferente para mis amigas y yo. Todas estábamos intrigadas por saber qué pasaría con Anastasia Steele en ese mundo oscuro en el que se había involucrado debido a su amor por Christian Grey.
And finally, "Fifty Shades of Grey." It was a whole different world for my friends and me. We were all intrigued to find out what would happen to Anastasia Steele in that dark world she had become involved in because of her love for Christian Grey.
Estas son todas las películas que me dejaron en un gran estado de obsesión. Si alguien dice que el cine no genera emociones intensas, solo basta con ver mi lista.
