Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts (2023) || Movie Review .
Transformers as we all know is one of the animations that made some of our early years fun. The live action franchise had been doing well in the box office until the fifth installment, 'Transformers: The last Night (2017)' was released, in my own opinion. I didn't enjoy the sequel at all and I was disappointed. The performance was not what I expected but for this sequel, it is not bad and it is not that amazing or incredible either.
After Bumblebee's installment in the franchise, I was actually very anxious to see what they had done with this sequel and also the trailer that I watched pumped me more. In the end, my experience with the movie was okay, not bad but I wasn't impressed because my expectations were not met. However, have this at the back of your mind, you might enjoy this sequel more than I did.
"Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts (2023)" is a sci-fi, action film that was directed by Steven Caple Jr., story by Joby Harold and it was distributed by Paramount pictures. This installment is a standalone sequel and it is the seventh installment in the Transformers franchise. It starred Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback and other voice characters; Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Pete Davidson, Liza Koshy, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Colman Domingo, Cristo Fernández, Tongayi Chirisa, John DiMaggio, and David Sobolov. This sequel revolves around Transformers, the Maximals, coming together with the Autobots and humans to fight for earth from a vicious planet-eater Transformers called Unicron.
Little About The Plot.
The vicious planet-eater Transformer, Unicron, comes for the world of the Maximals, a world filled with advanced Transformers to destroy it and also acquire a piece of technology that can open portals through space and time to other planets, called the Transwarp Key. Unicron sent his best general, Scourge to retrieve this key from the possession of the Maximals but the Maximals' leader sacrificed himself to hold off Scourge and his minions back until his people escape the planet with the key twatting Unicron's plan.
Fastwarded to the year 1994 back on our earth in Brooklyn where a young man Noah, an ex-military electronics expert who struggle with challenges of life and looking to find a job to support his mother and sick Brother. Still searching for the means to support his family, his hood friend, Reek told and pressured him to go still a particular Posche 911 in a parking lot so he steals it. During the act of stealing, he discovered the Porsche is an Autobots Mirage.
However, simultaneously, a museum intern Elena Wallace was studying an ancient statue which looked like a falcon with the symbol of the Maximals Transformers. As she studies this statue, it accidentally cracks and broke apart to reveal the long lost Transwarp Key which then released an energy signature. This energy signature was detected and recognized by Optimus Prime the Autobox leader and Scourge, Unicron's general. Prime then contacted all the Autobox to come together and unknowingly pulling two humans, Noah and Elena into their problem. Will Unicron succeed in taking the key?
My Review And Rating.
Like I said earlier, I wasn't that impressed with this movie because I saw this movie with my expectations high as the sky after my thrilling experience with Bumblebee's movie. Well for this sequel I thought it wouldn't include any humans considering that the story of this sequel concentrated on the Transformers and their vicious nemesis, Unicron.
I thought it be exclusively about the transformers doing their thing in secret without alerting the humans. Is it a must a human must be a bridge that connects them to their world or story? Is it a must a human must be their only last hope of surviving their enemies. It is beginning to get old and generic for me. I am getting bored and tired of the same cycle of storytelling of the Transformers franchise.
Also, I am tired of Bumblebee dying and coming back alive again. Enough! They should give Bumblebee's character a break because this guy has died a thousand time (metaphorically speaking) that I can't even remember some. No more Bumblebee's dying again.
The plot was well written. It was interesting and thrilling but it wasn't engaging as it lacked the real spark. I got bored from the first 20 minutes of the movie. The script was okay, it was not that bad. Though, I didn't really enjoy the humor that were inserted in between the dialogues. The scene arrangements were all arranged properly to suit the story of the movie.
The director did well and a fantastic job with the directing of the scenes and the action parts. The action scenes were thrilling and exhilarating to watch. I enjoyed them all because it had me on the edge of my seat. This is the only aspect that I appreciate and enjoyed about this movie.
The Cast were exceptional and good with all their roles. Though I didn't enjoy the performance of the Noah and Elena. The visuals were amazing and good. The CGI was not that bad. The design and the editing was excellently done too.
Rating this movie, I will give it 4 out of 5 stars. It was okay and not that bad. It was enjoyable and entertaining for me though I expected more and the real spark wasn't there for me because it felt like I was watching a generic movie. If you have seen it yet hurry now and watch it because your experience might be different from mine.

It's a pity that the momentum to engage the public has been lost. Nowadays we are very demanding so, not all producers are gaining our trust. On the other hand, I have read a lot of criticism about these movies created at a certain point for the children's world. Obviously, also for those who enjoy the genre. They don't seem to be able to satisfy the needs of this niche. However, it's like you say, you can make every experience different, you have to see it. Nice to greet you.
Honestly, I agree with you. I mean technology has improved than why won't there be more improvement. I hope the next sequel won't be disappointing like this. Thank you for your amazing comment. I appreciate your visit.
I didn't like this movie, a big disappointment because I was expecting something better than Bumblebee was and possibly that expectation was what ruined my experience with Rise of the Beasts, but it bothers me that it repeats things like using a bunch of important characters in the title and they have no or little relevance to the story.
I think this movie works more as a prequel to all of Michael Bay's films than Bumblebee did.
I thought I was the only one that was disappointed with this sequel. I expected more.
Hahah, part of the problems I have with this movie.
Now that you mentioned it works more as prequel, I see it and agree. Michael Bay's films were the best for me in this franchise. I appreciate your comment. Thank you for the visit. 😊
