An Amazing Addition To The “Mission Impossible” Franchise.

Finally, I brought myself to see the recent installment of the Mission Impossible franchise. I should have seen this a long time ago but I didn't want my experience to be influenced by the reviews and rating I have seen. So I decided to wait it out. Watching this movie now, made me enjoy it and my opinion about this movie is not influenced in any way.

I remember last year when I saw the trailer of this movie, I thought it wouldn't be interesting nor will it's performance surpass the previous installment but it was actually up to the expectation I had already set for it. It was a fantastic and funny experience for me. I was laughing throughout the movie. I couldn't stop because Tom Cruise’s facial expressions did it for me. I don't know why, but I find it hard to take Tom seriously, he is always running and chaotic.

’Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ is an action spy movie that was distributed by Paramount Pictures. This film is the sequel to ’Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)’ and the seventh installment in the Mission Impossible franchise. It was directed by Christopher McQuarrie and co-written with Erik Jendresen. Also, from the title of this installment, we will be getting the eighth installment soon.

This movie starred Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga and Henry Czerny.

The storyline of this movie basically revolves around the Russian stealth submarine called The Sevastopol was integrated with an advanced AI that is activated by a two-piece cruciform key to boost its performance. Afterwards, the AI becomes sentient, evolves and goes rogue. Now, it is called ”The Entity” because it evolved.

World powers began to try to acquire ”The Entity” for themselves so as to control and use its powers for their gain. The CIA Director Kittridge believes that ”The Entity” can manipulate the whole of cyberspace which will in turn give it control over all global defense intelligence and financial networks. So avoid ”The Entity” not to fall into the wrong hands, Kittridge employs Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team to track down this AI before it falls into the wrong hands.

However, Ethan discovered that Kittridge was not totally honest with him concerning the mission and that there are more parties looking to acquire ”The Entity”. How will Ethan make sure his mission was done properly? Will he lose out? Who are the other parties involved?

My Review And Rating.

This movie gave me an amazing experience, it was very enjoyable and super fun. These past few days, I have not been my unusual self emotionally but when I saw this movie, I was emotionally rejuvenated. It lightened my mood and renewed my love for movies.

I love how the plot of this movie was written. Right from the first act of this film, I was on the edge of seat, waiting to see how this movie would, waiting to see how Tom Cruise will perform in this one and also waiting to see what damage ”The Entity” will cause. My expectations for this are not that high but I am saying right now that this movie surpassed my expectations. Right, I am just very optimistic about the next installment and I can't wait!

The scene arrangements were fantastic and incredible. It was arranged perfectly to go with the tone and mood of the movie. It was also arranged to match perfectly with Cruise’s performance. The storyline is fully packed with good chase action, excellent fight actions and the fully flesh out characters, the location. I love the fact this movie was chaotic from the start to the end. All thanks to Tom Cruise for that.

One thing I enjoyed about this movie is the performance of the cast and the cinematography. On top of my list is Tom. His performance was entertaining and funny to me. Like I said at the beginning of this post, I find it hard to take him seriously and I don't know why. Maybe because in any movie I see him in, he is always running, fighting for his dear life, or receiving the bearings of his life. Unfortunately, in this movie, he was the one dishing out punches not the other way round.

Also, I was happy to see Ferguson, Pegg, Rhames, Czerny, back again with Atwell as the new addition to the cast. However, I am not happy about how Ferguson was concluded. I wanted to see her. Atwell’s performance was good and sleek. I loved her confidence all through the movie. In the end, the cast were amazing!

The cinematography of this movie was done in a unique way. The camera was excellent, especially during the action scenes. No “shaky cams” and there was some amazing 360° wide range they gave us. I loved those scenes more. I hope the upcoming concluding part will impress their fans and audience.

Rating this movie, I will give it 8.5 out of 10. It was fun for me. Entertaining and also interesting. I enjoyed this one but I can't compare the experience of this installment to the previous one. Regardless, this installment was well produced.
