¡Hola amigos! En el día de hoy les quiero compartir mi opinión acerca de una película que se estrenó de manera reciente en una plataforma y tenía muchas ganas de verla. La película se llama El abismo secreto.

Hello friends! Today I want to share with you my opinion about a movie that was recently released on a platform and I really wanted to see it. The movie is called The Gorge.

La historia sigue a Drasa y Levi, dos agentes especialistas en francotiradores que son contratados para vigilar los lados opuestos de un abismo secreto. Ellos no se conocen y no pueden establecer contacto entre sí, tampoco saben para qué están allí, ni que se esconde en el abismo. Deberán permanecer vigilantes y atentos a cualquier movimiento extraño que vean. Todo se sale de control cuando tienen un vistazo de lo qué habita en el abismo y deciden unir fuerzas para proteger sus fuertes y establecen el contacto necesario que los hará desmantelar el secreto que se esconde allí.

The story follows Drasa and Levi, two specialist sniper agents who are hired to guard opposite sides of a secret abyss. They do not know each other and cannot establish contact with each other, nor do they know what they are there for, nor what is hidden in the abyss. They must remain vigilant and attentive to any strange movement they see. Everything gets out of control when they get a glimpse of what dwells in the abyss and decide to join forces to protect their forts and establish the necessary contact that will make them dismantle the secret hidden there.

Este tipo de películas tiene todo lo que me encanta: acción, suspenso, terror y, por supuesto, romance. Es una historia que va creciendo a medida que avanza y mezcla varias cosas, aunque creo que al final no termina profundizando bien y se siente como un poco apresurado. Pero siendo cero objetiva, a mí me fascinó de principio a fin.

This type of movie has everything I love: action, suspense, horror and, of course, romance. It's a story that builds as it goes along and mixes several things together, although I think it doesn't end up delving well at the end and feels a bit rushed. But being zero objective, I was fascinated from beginning to end.

Vemos un pequeño vistazo de la vida de estos dos francotiradores y lo bueno que son en sus áreas, y luego pasamos de lleno al abismo, donde la trama se va cocinando para llegar al momento de la revelación de los enemigos a eliminar. Nos van mostrando cómo transcurren los meses y cómo se van conociendo entre ellos a través de mensajes que se escriben, aunque esto estaba prohibido. Pero justo ponen a un hombre guapo y solo, con una mujer guapa y sola en la torre de vigilancia de enfrente, más vale que van a tener ganas de conocerse. Son los únicos humanos que están allí.

We see a small glimpse of the life of these two snipers and how good they are in their areas, and then we go straight to the abyss, where the plot is cooking to get to the moment of the revelation of the enemies to be eliminated. We are shown how the months go by and how they get to know each other through messages they write to each other, although this was forbidden. But they just put a handsome, lonely man with a handsome, lonely woman in the watchtower across the street, they better be looking forward to getting to know each other. They are the only humans there.

Acá entramos al apartado romántico, debo decir que fue una de mis partes favoritas, disfruté cómo se fue dando todo. Además de que ambos actores tuvieron una muy buena química, esto es primordial para lograr transmitir una buena conexión a través de la pantalla. Yo que disfruto del romance quedé satisfecha con el que me ofreció la película. Además, Anya Taylor-Joy es hipnótica, tiene algo que me hace querer mirar todas sus producciones y Miles Teller no se quedo atrás.

Here we enter the romantic section, I must say that it was one of my favorite parts, I enjoyed how it all came together. In addition to the fact that both actors had a very good chemistry, this is essential to convey a good connection through the screen. I who enjoy romance was satisfied with what the movie had to offer. Besides, Anya Taylor-Joy is hypnotic, she has something that makes me want to watch all her productions and Miles Teller was not far behind.

También tuvo bastante acción con respecto a los seres del abismo y los momentos de defensa. Me gustó la dinámica de estas criaturas, me recordaron un poco a los mutantes de The Last of Us, pero siento que daba para mucho más en este sentido. Al final se quedó corto, todo se resolvió demasiado rápido y me dejó más interrogantes que respuestas.

It also had quite a bit of action with respect to the beings of the abyss and the moments of defense. I liked the dynamics of these creatures, they reminded me a bit of the mutants in The Last of Us, but I feel that it had a lot more to offer in this sense. In the end it fell short, everything was resolved too quickly and left me with more questions than answers.

La trama estuvo bien, es una especie de película romántica con un escenario de terror por expresarlo de alguna manera. Me hubiera gustado que profundizará un poco más, pero en líneas generales me gustó bastante. La disfruté mucho y eso es lo que cuenta al final. Así que la recomiendo.

The plot was good, it's a kind of romantic movie with a horror scenario to put it in a way. I would have liked it to go a little deeper, but overall I liked it a lot. I enjoyed it a lot and that's what counts in the end. So I recommend it.
