🎬 Movie Review: No Way Up [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! En el día de hoy les traigo la reseña de una película que tenía mis dudas de ver, pero leí reseñas por acá de otros hivers que me llamaron la atención así que junté coraje y le di play a Atrapados en lo profundo.

Hello friends! Today I bring you the review of a movie that I had my doubts to see, but I read reviews here from other hivers that caught my attention so I gathered my courage and gave play to No Way Up.

Esta película nos cuenta la historia de un grupo de amigos, junto con otros pasajeros, que van rumbo a unas vacaciones, pero en el trayecto el avión se descompone y termina cayendo al agua donde numerosas personas perdieron la vida en el acto. Sin embargo, este grupo de jóvenes, junto con un asistente del avión, una niña y su abuela lograron sobrevivir al impacto. Ahora deberán buscar la forma de salir con vida de allí antes de que termine por inundarse y se queden sin aire. Sin contar con el otro inconveniente, el avión está rodeado de tiburones.

This film tells the story of a group of friends, along with other passengers, who are on their way to a vacation, but on the way the plane breaks down and ends up falling into the water where many people lost their lives on the spot. However, this group of young people, along with a flight attendant, a girl and her grandmother managed to survive the impact. Now they must find a way to get out of there alive before it ends up flooding and they run out of air. Not to mention the other drawback, the plane is surrounded by sharks.

El motivo por el que les huyó un poco a estas películas es porque me aterran los tiburones y todo lo que tenga que ver con criaturas asesinas en el fondo del mar, y si bien estos fueron los antagonistas en esta historia, no resultó ser tan terrible como me esperaba. Así que lo agradezco de verdad. Diría que fue una película que me hizo mantener en el borde del asiento, tuvo momentos críticos de tensión, pero los pude soportar sin mayores inconvenientes.

The reason I shied away from these movies a bit is because I'm terrified of sharks and anything to do with killer creatures at the bottom of the sea, and while these were the antagonists in this story, it didn't turn out to be as terrible as I expected. So I really appreciated that. I would say it was a movie that kept me on the edge of my seat, it had critical moments of tension, but I was able to endure them without major inconveniences.

Para mí fue más terror psicológico que otra cosa porque todo el tiempo estuve pensando en que podrían haber pasado muchas más tragedias de las que terminaron sucediendo. Esa fue mi cabeza ansiosa entrando en acción, al final no estuvo tan terrible. La verdad es que la trama dejó un poco que desear, es decir, el propósito era salir con vida de allí mientras pudieran y los que pudieran hacerlo. No hay nada nuevo acá, todo ya se vio. Así que creo que la intención es entretener al espectador y eso lo logran bien.

For me it was more psychological terror than anything else because the whole time I was thinking that many more tragedies could have happened than ended up happening. That was my anxious head kicking in, in the end it wasn't so terrible. The truth is that the plot left a little to be desired, that is, the purpose was to get out of there alive while they could and those who could. There is nothing new here, everything has already been seen. So I think the intention is to entertain the viewer and they do that well.

Las actuaciones estuvieron bastante bien, podía sentir sus temores y miedos porque de hecho los tenía, pero hasta ahí nomás. El final fue el esperado, aunque también se me hizo un poco exagerado por parte de la chica que estuvo un montón de tiempo sin respirar en el agua, pero pudo salir con vida. Los tiburones tampoco fueron tan inteligentes, hubo un momento raro ahí con ellos y la misma chica que logro sobrevivir.

The performances were pretty good, I could feel her fears and fears because she actually had them, but that's as far as it went. The ending was as expected, although it was also a bit exaggerated on the part of the girl who was a lot of time without breathing in the water, but she was able to get out alive. The sharks weren't that smart either, there was a weird moment there with them and the girl who managed to survive.

En fin, me pareció una película entretenida y buena para pasar el rato. No es muy larga, dura 1 hora y media, ese es otro punto a favor. Pero no se quedará mucho en mi memoria, la sentí un poco olvidable.

Anyway, I found it an entertaining and good movie to pass the time. It's not very long, it lasts 1 hour and a half, that's another plus. But it won't stay in my memory for long, I felt it was a bit forgettable.
